We've been working hard over the last couple of weeks to bring you the latest from Pusher HQ.

We have uploaded photos from our last gig at the Pontefract Liquorice Festival which was a blast! Inspiration was taken from the festivals Morris dancers for a video for our latest dubstep track. If anyone knows any of these talented people (or fancy a crack themselves), please let us know!

Also uploaded are photos from our 'Van Party' shoot. This was an awesome night and has inspired us to take the Pusher Party onto the road at some point in the near future – keep a look out for your invite... Thanks to Donna for taking the photos (you can also check her photos for 'The Last Days of Edgar Harding', in which Paperpushers will appear in the film as a guest band).

For more information on the movie check the official website -

Finally, we have uploaded two brand spanking new tracks for your aural pleasure! We have re-mixed and mastered 'Criminal' – our first step in a new direction, followed by our eagerly awaited Paperpusher-esque genre-mash-up floor-killer…'Count to Ten'!!! Check it out and please let us know what you think!

We've got a number of gigs coming up and PLENTY to be confirmed where we will be showcasing our new tracks. Keep checking back for the latest.

Peace & Pushin'

Sunday saw us descend upon "The Pontefract Liquorice Festival" where we played to a cracking crowd and all were getting down to the sun-kissed dance-grooves! While there we also discovered a forgotten passion for Haribo sour mix... (they are the best after all!?) Cheers to everyone who came down and made it a great day for all!

Alongside the rolling snowball of fresh material; we will be playing several gig dates including Manchester and London so it would be great to see some of yous there ready to party!

Stay close to myspace for the latest and drop us a MSG if you get a free few moments...

Best,

Pushers

Afternoon all..

We’ve all just come back from a rather chilly/very muddy gig in Roundhay Park (Leeds) all in aid of sport relief. We had an enjoyable time wading/sliding through mud most of us adopting the chav style jeans into socks look, shamefully I found myself thinking it was quite a good look...

Here’s a recap of the past two weeks in Camp Pusher

Cardigan Arms, Leeds

Turned up at the venue only to find it deserted, not a good start we thought. Things got even better when the barmaid had never heard of the promoter, didn’t have his number and had no idea there was supposed to be a gig tonight. Sometimes comunicating solely through Myspace has its draw backs...
We ended up playing with some excellent bands though, special mention goes the Whiskey Cats who were not only lovely guys but were also one of the best bands we’ve played with bringing gypsy music to the masses!

Joseph’s Well, Leeds

Another school night gig wednesday is apparently the new friday...this time the venue wasn’t deserted because we turned up half and hour late. This is probably one of our favourite venues to play cause the sound is always so good and can cope with Jimmy-One-Finger’s synthy goodness...
Highlights of this gig include Nick wiping the sweaty forehead of a man in the front row then being requested by the crowd to lick his fingers...he appropriately responded by wiping it on his jeans.

Roundhay Park, Leeds

You’d think that a gig at Sport Relief would be a similar affair to Band Aid...unfortunately everyone was off running or something when the headline band (us) took to the stage. Nick and Mitch’s amps both decided to through mini tantrums but a small and very vocal fanclub kept us smiling!
This gig was marred by a certain member of the band...who before the gig warned everyone to "watch their language cause this is a family affair, yeah?"  promptly went and dropped the F-Bomb just as the families were returning from their run. Fortunately the organiser ignored this slip up and invited us back to play bonfire night where people will be too drunk to care if we swear...sooo every cloud...

Anyway I hope people actually read this blogness cause it’s taken me fucking ages...Our next gig will be at TJ’s Woodhouse Club on Wednesday drop us a line if you require directions or tickets! It’s all part of the BYT ting which will be covered by BBC and local news show the more screaming girls/boys the better...

I’m off for a cuppa, much love,

Camp Pusher x

Hi Guys,

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone that came down to the HiFi on Monday night, we had a great time, and hopefully you did too!

We just wanted to keep you in the loop with what we've been up to.

Spraying Saturday:

We spent all of Saturday burning and spraying our CD's with the Sample Design boys. They looked fantastic at the end of it, so big thanks to the boys.

Barfly, Cambridge:

On Sunday, we took the new van on its maiden voyage down to Cambridge for a gig at the Barfly. It took Jim a grand total of 2 hours to find the M1 from HQ (according to the route planner this should have taken about 10 minutes max), with a total journey time of five and a half hours. The gig was heavy, with a crowd consisting, in the main, of really pissed up 17 and 18 year olds. During the gig, whilst truly 'Rocking Out', Mitch managed to lose his 3rd pair of sunglasses (in the space of a month). Let this be a lesson to you... Nobody, however cool, should wear their sunglasses inside! Really Mitch... We then got some much needed rest at the Wilkinson residence after the gig and a few beers.

HiFi, Leeds:

On Monday we hammered it back up to Leeds, with about an hour to spare before sound check for the Sweet Revival. When we arrived at the HiFi, the sound man was desperately trying to get the speakers to work in the club (which took about an hour), but he came through, and we went on to play to a busy HiFi.

***

After battling against the sleep deprivation and temporarily slipping back into the 9-5 routine, we've been spraying more CD's for the next gig at the Cardigan Arms (Wednesday 05/03/08). If you missed us at the HiFi, and would like to see us ASAP, then get yourself down! It's tomorrow, and we are playing with three brilliant bands (Whiskey Cats, Ramshackles, and Carlis Star), it would be great to see you there!!!

So, for the latest, keep your eyes on your emails, the Myspace and if you haven't already, join the new Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=9090616023).

We're currently working extremely hard on the forth coming album, as well as practicing for the two gigs at the Hifi and the Cockpit, where we will be playing some of our new music. Come down and support us and let us know what you think of our new tunes!

The album is sounding good so far with about half of it practically finished...
