Current mood:  full
So cuz I'm antsy to post stuff.. I'm gonna post some demos each week. These are beats I did for fun or stupid shit I did when I'm full of brandy and wish I could be Madlib or Jay Dilla. or maybe both. First up is an oldy. please don't take these too seriously. 14" rims.

Wev'e got a chunk of the next record really close to done and I'm dying to share it- but it needs more time in the oven. outtakes and the like will be posted along with other demos.

I'm also playing a few solo shows that are pretty fun. a guitar and a bunch of pedals mixed with nerves. It's a good time. next one is in Dallas kinda early-ish. come on out and say hey.

Lastly here's another blog to list. our pals in Florene have one called. Phoreladeliah  - always got some good info on there.

also check - weedtemple  - for psyched out shit. fun.

peace.it up folks.

well the recording continues... it's gone pretty great so far. Im kind of dying to put up rough mixes but of course that's ill advised. I can tell you the boys brought it and we've got some great stuff brewing. In the meantime we're working on a few shows here and there and I'll be playing some solo shows this summer as well.

hmmm. so let me give a tidbit. I'm going to post some of my favorite blog bits here that i've found scouring this dirty bathroom of an internet. This is one of my faves for updates on movies etc.

so my gal has been laid up so we've watched a lot of movies over the last week~ here's the results of the few that stood out.
we liked -

"The Diving Bell and Butterfly" even though Schnabel is so into himself. maybe he's got a good reason to be.

"Funny Games" made us scream at the TV for about an hour and then give in to impending doom. plus John Zorn on the soundtrack.

"Rescue Dawn". I avoided this initially since i'd seen the doc called "little Dieter needs to fly" but we actually really liked it. Herzog=yes
O on a side note we also rented "The Grand" because of Herzog's appearance.... not worth it.

"In Bruges" is not too bad and worth it to me for the karate chop cocaine scene.

"Playtime" - Jaque Tati (sp?) was recommended because of my love of "The Party" (sellers) I get the connect now. although it felt about 20minutes too long.

more to come since it's hot outside in the heart of denton.

so there's a quick little video of the cellphone improv show at Hailey's w Martin Iles at the projection controls. It was a very good night. The sound is a little rough since it's a camera mic but you get the picture.

Well a couple shows that I didn't know were gonna happen came along so we are playing those...first the fabulous Stumptone followed by the freaked out Singer from Chicago which included members of 90 Men and US Maple! - We are indeed writing the new batch of recordings currently and working on some of those for live shows. Also I just put up some more nonsense on the drawing blog if anyone is interested in that junk. gratz.
