I'm at New Life Ranch in OK with students for my first youth group trip. It's been fun so far and the staff here is amazing.  We are in effect bus drivers who care about the students.  We have no official responsibility but to take them home so the other two adults and I are around and enjoying being with the students but are able to relax too.

I'm going to take a day and just have a personal retreat, that should be good for me and my soul. And I should be meeting Riddle and Jimmy Doyle in or around Tulsa on Wed, that'll be fun.

Current mood:  contemplative

If a street artist (who happens to be a world renown violin virtuoso) plays a $3.5 million Stativarious will anyone notice?

Read the whole story at Pearls Before Breakfast. It should have been titled Pearls Before Swine. It is a powerful to watch and make all the connections to our own inability to recognize the beauty around us every day in different circumstances. This is a great illustration for many things, enjoy it and share the story.

Today I was Margret Becker's 3,000th friend.  Must have been me because when I submitted my request, she only had 2,999.

Just call me Mr. 3,000.

Offline for a few days, have a great Easter!

Current mood:  busy

I've had this primarily to give comments to students but now I figured I'd try to do things on here and my little place.

So if you got a friend request today, that's why!

Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes
For a few years I've had a crazy thought but I've never took any action on it. Today I took the first step. I called  River City Comedy Club to find out if they ever have open mic time and it's 5:30pm every Friday night.

Will I go? I don't know. Not today or next week but I might. I wonder if I can get 5 minutes worth of material together?
