Hey everyone!

Lots has been going on !

There are tons of new songs im working up that you have to hear!!!! Seriously...
Im very proud of the work Ive been putting in... and it all comes with a little help from my Management, Pete Robinson and Alex Heddle and all the great songwriters who are helping me get on track here.

I still write all my own music but now Ive been kind to let others put their ideas with mine... I could name a bunch of names, but Im talkin talent like Rick Huckaby, Kyle Cook, Greg Crowe and Jesse and Dennis Matkosky to name a few.

The work Im putting in to this music is going to make you all proud to listen to as well! I cannot thank ya enough!

Big props to Buffalo NY my hometown! Tampa Florida and Nashville. You know I got hommmesss in different area codes :-P

STREAM OF THOUGHT:

Remember the days when I was dreaming of doing things like this? This music thing is something I've dreamed but never relished in it, mmm relish.

Im still surviving out here doing my thing, chasing my dreams all in the goal that you understand what I'm doing.

I wont ever be one of those Cynical/passive bastards that entertain you saying I do this all for you.... I do this for myself a lot, I gotta eat, gotta pay rent and damn, I gotta entertain you first and foremost !

I really don't know another way to live!

Here's the part where it's for you!...

I sing with all my passion when I see you... These notes don't come out when im by myself... I need your energy and strength to do this. Ultimately I need you just as much as you need my music.

We're all in a relationship together... so lets go make chris nizzle babay, baybaysss...( in my best Biggie voice ) Babybaby!

I've been very busy recently and wanted to let all my Myspacers know that I still LOVE them very much!! A bit of an update for you here: I went to NYC to perform to a packed house at The Bitter End. All the guys from the venue were great and I'd like to thank Pete Robinson my manager and songwriter Jeff Cohen for hooking it up! I ate so much food in NYC ... I don't know how the girls there aren't 300 pounds . I had two Rueben sandwhiches at Katz's Deli... That place is so crazy but the food is off the chain! Lived it up in NJ for a bit too , saw The Boss' house and got some sun on Jersey Shores. Let me just say that Jersey is awesome and it was very green and they had good "green " too ;-) I wanted to thank every fan in NYC for coming out to see me perform for the first time! Also a big shout out to Dan Klores Communications ! I have a lot of shows coming up in the Nashville area so check those out... Also everything is in the making for me to hit the road in september , keep in touch and look for me in your city!

REVIEW by: Rock on Together, check out this great music Zine here on Myspace.
myspace.com/rockontogether

Dave Matthews once said, “Good music is good music and everything else can go to Hell.”

It seems like the perfect sentence when speaking of the Rock On Together June Featured Artist. You see, Chris Nathan sings and plays and performs really, really great music. Music that makes a whole lot of other people sound not so good by comparison. It is ear candy that should go nowhere other than to the hearts and souls of true music fanatics around the world.

It all happened a few months ago and I remember it well. A friend told me to get to a local bar and hear this massive musical talent. I did as I was told and walked in the door to be stopped in my tracks. It was truly unique, impressive and just, plain good. My jaw hit the floor, I was quickly dancing to the music and my eyes were locked on the stage for the entire show. Let’s put it this way…I eventually proposed marriage in the music review (which is strictly against professional rules!). In all seriousness, I was truly moved by the music and the artistic way Chris delivered it that night. He is original and that is hard to find.

Many times an artist is discovered for their potential. A music industry exec sees what “could be” in the individual and signs them in an effort to bring out those possibilities. However, this isn’t the case with Chris Nathan. The potential need not be found. He is already there…potential reached…talent massive…product ready to deliver for general public consumption.

The 6’6 Buffalo, New York native grew up traveling around the country in a very musical family. His mother is a talented singer, father is an amazing harmonica player, stepfather can work wonders on the bass and his 12-year-old stepbrother can play impressive percussion. Chris’s musical background is evident in his stage show. There is no fear once the lights are on and the crowd is watching. Chris has a reckless abandon on stage fueled by a complete passion for the music he plays and loves. His embrace of each song’s feeling allows the audience to let go and enjoy every second of the live show.

Songs like “Happy” take people to that painful place where we are each trying to achieve that elusive emotion. Tunes like “Bonnie and Clyde” bring out the bad boy and girl in each of us and Chris makes everyone want to join such an interesting band of outlaws…purely for the joy and sass the song exudes. “Always” gives listeners hope in love and that the person you love will be there for you come rain or shine. Better yet, it gives people Faith in themselves and their dreams.

Chris Nathan music makes you move. At a live show, NO ONE (including the non-dancers) is holding still. Every song promotes movement…no matter what the pace. It is MOVE music and most people love to move to it. Chris is the first one to do so (usually barefoot and dancing with his guitar). There is an immense sense of wrong to be at a Chris Nathan show standing motionless.

Influence of The Black Crowes, Dave Matthews and Otis Redding is heard in his music, but it is influence alone. Chris Nathan has a way of creating music that is original, yet catchy. It’s Pop, yet R&B. It’s Hip Hop, but soul music. I can listen to the songs over and over with no problem. They are that much fun. These are timeless tunes that people can latch onto and enjoy for years to come.

Chris’s deep, layered, raspy at times (but always on the mark) and 100% soulful voice comes out to get you and immediately grabs the ear. The voice is unique and fun to listen to on any given song. He interprets the music with his voice as an instrument, Chris does not just sing. He uses the voice the ways it’s meant to be used…to tell the story.

The laid back persona Chris projects is deceptive. There is more to the artist that reveals a deeper side to his personality. Questions are analyzed to find the right answer. Emotions are explored to write the perfect song. Time and experience serve as educational tools for the man who continually teaches others what it’s like to really feel music.

You don’t want to miss a show or a song from this talented singer/songwriter. Chris Nathan music can be found on iTunes and his MySpace page shows upcoming tour dates. There is no other way for me to convince you. I would feel really bad for anyone who didn’t take the opportunity to hear Chris Nathan. He is one of the worthy singer/songwriters in town and it’s only a matter of time before the entire country gets to hear him.

When asked which song would describe his life, Chris favored a Rush song called “Spirit of Radio.” There was one particular set of lyrics in the song that struck me as very “Chris Nathan-like.” The lyrics went something like this: “Making modern music can still be open-hearted, not so coldly charted. It’s really just a question of your honesty.” There is no question. Don’t miss a chance to listen to
Chris Nathan music. It’s good for the soul and healthy for the spirit.

  Hey everyone!

The trip was a success... here is a brief update on what happened.

We all hopped into the van with a quickness ready to embark. The road trips were enjoyable as we made great time and had great weather to work with!

To Charlotte we went... such a cool city, such nice people. I never really played Charlotte more than once... so this was kind of like going there for the first time all over again.

The theatre was really cool and I think we played to some ghosts too! ;-)

Meanwhile during my version of Regulators, a couple decided it was a good idea to climb up to the catwalk and have sex... I dunno about you but i think it classifies me in the "Baby Makin Music Program" im proud to be a part of the club ;-)

Lots of football was played... every rest stop, every food break, every time we werent in the van or working we were playing football... gotta do something after the hurry up and wait.

Sorry for any cars we hit with my ball. now that i think about it i left my football in the van !!! Shit! well someone else is enjoying my ball now :-(

Good ole ebay will come through again.

Tampa was great. we ended up playing to a packed house @ the Jaeb Theatre in TBPAC!

Thank you to the awesome fans who came out and spent their hard earned money on my ass... it was a pleasure to perform!

YOU ALL ROCKED! and the chant of WE WANT THE FUNK  was brilliant whoever planned that ...

i think every show should have that.

We broke down in to a cover of Shai and really i didnt know it was gonna go over so well... note, it'll be in the setlist from now on...

Thank you to WOB and Luna Guitars for sponsoring the event! Can't wait to come back and do it all over, this time, to even more people!

Without the help of you the fans none of this would be possible.

I'd also like to thank Ingrim Hill and Kim Stein for opening... you all were wonderful.

I'll be posting photos of the tour right now... or since you're reading this, then they're already up there.... :-)

See you soon! Keep on supporting! Theres so much more to do!

So, times have changed for me. All in very good ways...
The traffic gets tougher to get through and the web spins a little faster.
You can get trapped if you don't move along quick enough... damn i hate spiders...

I love it though... Im thriving on the competition and the drive that has always been in me. Im just mature enough to understand it now...
I've matured greatly in the last year and I feel you the fans have also. You're tired of hearing that stupid vocoder shit on the radio where anyone who goes in a studio can be a singer... I hate that shit, it sounds awful!
Anyways, I noticed you want something real again... I'm only going to deliver honesty and real to your eyes and ears. You have that with me just as I have it with you!
I'm completely under my fans control because I don't write music just to get things off my chest... I write it because you are going through the same shit in a different way all the time.
We're all the same in a lot of ways, and I want you to know that being my fan means you're part of a family. When you speak I listen... I truly hope everyone out there reading this is feeling good right now, because there's about to be some CRAZZZZY shit happening real soon and things that none of us will understand but merely accept and take in.
With that being said, I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for being there for me... the ones from day one. the kats that just heard, and to the people not yet dialing in yet... ill get you.  Im determined to speak your language too.  And if Im not speaking your language you sure as hell are gonna feel my soul. That's what I was born to do... lets move mountains people.
  Peace
