All right guys ,

There's a lot of rumors going around about 1415 and why it closed...

The truth is, the building was purchased by the Montrose clinic and the club portion was a sublease.....Due to an increase in activity and in an effort to better serve the HIV/AIDS community and those affected by it, the clinic will be expanding and renovating the facility... We felt that this was more urgent than a place to party on thursday.......

Papi Chulo Houston is a party for our people by our people.....We do this for you.......

We had a great time with our tenure at 1415.....we wish the staff and management the best.......

Now as we begin a new chapter in the PAPI CHULO HOUSTON story, we invite you to come out to our new exciting venue....

Numbers is a legendary club located in Montrose....It is large and spacious and has high ceilings...a fabulous stage......lots of bars.....and lots of places to "hide".......Our door staff is still Natalie, Telly and Tolo.......Our MC is still Ailayah Crawford.....Our Manager is still JR and of course our music is still by DJ ALEX T.....

Wow Houston What Can I Say ?? It's Been a crazy ride so far. We had our doubts about moving our party to Montrose, reason being, the gay community is so fickle !! Boy were we wrong about you guys !! We are so overwhelmed by the love and support you guys have shown us. Especially during our theme parties. All we can say is HOUSTON, you guys are the best !! I knew you guys were AWESOME, but I didnt know to what extent !!

THANK YOU HOUSTON FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT !!

We do this thursday night party for you !! I am so happy that you guys have realized what we are doing, and in turn have given us your support. We Promise to try really hard to keep u guys entertained throughout 2006 !! Please continue to show us all the Love and support that we have grown to love !! Papi Chulo Originated In a Club In Southwest Houston. It Was Dreamed Up by a promotions team that was tired of going out to Houston Clubs and getting The Same Shit Everywhere they went. We wanted a place where Latins were appreciated and where our musical need could be met. We needed a place that was not scared to play latin music as well as house , hip hop, rap & bootie music. Most clubs in this town are Run by people who couldn't care less about the latin community. Trust me , I know this personally, I shopped the Idea around to all the clubs in town, and one response that truly sticks out in my mind was this huge club whose clientele is probably 65% minorities, The owner told me he was not interested in courting that demographic. Can you believe that shit ?? Well, we started our night he Southwest and we ran a hugely successful Thursday night Party for the following 8 years. Eventually, egos got in the way and the owners were losing sight of our original vision, which was to give gay latinos a place where they could bring any of their friends and have a great time without sacrificing their identity or culture. Of course, there are white-washed wannabe coconuts that don't mind licking ass as long as they can be allowed in thru the back door, but that is not the kind of people we want at our weekly party. We are looking for individuals with a sense of pride in their own community and all people who embrace diversity in all it's glorious forms. We welcome everybody who loves being themselves. We Live for people that know how to have a great time and exude a positive vibe. If you haven't experienced the mammoth that is Papi Chulo Thursdays, Come see what you've been missing. We promise we'll change your whole perception of Houston's club scene simply because we keep it real. Every club in town has tried to copy our music format, but I promise I could write my playlist down and you still would not get the same energy . We are the originators, and our DJ has played at the hottest Latin clubs for the last 18 years. we set the musical standard and have yet to be equaled.
