Well,  It really has been a good run.  We have all worked our asses of for the last Four years.  It saddens me to say that this is the end of the road for Reinventing Yesterday. After a lot of thinking we are ready to end this journey.  We all have put so much into this, and recieved so much in return that we cannot thank all of our friends and fans enough.  As I sit here typing, i realize that i am almost at a loss for words.  It has been the best Years of my life and i wouldn't change a thing.  Everyone that has been through this band, YOU ALL will be my friends for life.  All the Van rides, Late nights, fights, and even breakdowns will forever be etched into my brain as some of the best nights of my life.  I will never forget them.

We would like to thank the following people and bands for their friendship and love over the years:  first off Mr Brent Fisher you made us work harder than we ever worked before.  I feel like you took a chance on us and if we let you down we are eternally sorry.  Every member that has ever been in this band, you helped all of us new and old to try and achieve a dream that we ALL wanted.  All of our Girlfriends that supported us through it all.  Thank you for putting up with our shit.  Yorgos at Papa Petes, Rob Bain from Holland, Mirf from Skelletones (RIP), Rush at Beardcore, Katie, Cody and the staff at New Addiction Tattoos, Darren at the Redrum, Ryan of 616 Underground,  Travis and Korie,  Aaron, Matt Dilliner Chris Neu, and anyone that has ever helped us out in any way.

We would like to thank the following Bands:  Their Teeth Will Be Of Lions, Doombringer, Enormousaurus,  Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, Onlytheashesremain,  Behold The Man, Infinite Design, Castigate, 789, Bloodlined Calligraphy, Kissyface Fashion Faux~pas, And Hell Followed With, A Dead Calling, Doctor Doctor, Kids with Cobras, Amongst Enemies,  The Yellow Sign,  Tall Ships, Brothers,  Ghosts of The Great Lakes, End of Reason, Bizmuth, Forever Lived in Infamy, and to anyone we forgot im sorry its been awesome playing with all of you over the years.

Im not sure what the future brings for each of us musically, but we will keep you posted on our future projects.  As for a Final Show, We are looking at an early august date at Papa Petes in Kalamazoo.  So we will keep you posted.  Thanks So Much to you all for everything you have done to keep this band floating.  It means the world to us!  Most of all thanks to the KRC!  we love all of you, Thanks

Sincerely

So i guess this would be classified as a long over due update.  but heres whats going down.  We are taking most of December and January off to finnish our Full length CD.  We have been working hard on completing the final songs.  We will have some guest Vocalists and Musicians on this effort, Proving to be our best Music to date.  We are currently planning out our time lines for recording and mastering.  We are hoping on having a late april release on Truth or Justice Records.  There are Touring plans for around this time as well.  So dont fret, we will be making our way down south and along the east coast.  We are super excited for all this to start moving along, And cant wait to see some more smiling (and angry) faces at our upcoming shows.  So stay tuned....we will update you as time goes along. thanks for taking the time to read this.

Much Love

The Best Man: i wrote this song as a tribute to my grandparents.  they were two of the most amazing people i have ever had the pleasure of being in contact with.  Never take the relationships that you have for granted, someday they may be gone and all you will have left is memories.

Period Blood Sandwich:  I wrote this about abusive relationships.  This being something that nobody wants i figured it fit well with the song title.  Its a figurative story that pens the protagonist, Jean, against her abusive counterpart.  in the end Jean makes it out of the relationship alive and well, but not without her scars.

Anthony Michael Hall as "the geek": This is a song about students and how cruel they can be to one another.  In a day where school shootings have become almost as common as the bullies themselves, you would think this would change the ideals of the children they come into contact with.  Sadly they do not and will not, this is the problem i have with what the future holds.

Ted Bundy vs Peggy Bundy (cagematch!):  At first this was going to be an anti stalker song, but it evolved into a song about both perspectives. The hunter and the hunted, and the different roles they play in each others lives.

Brothers in Arms:  This i wrote as an anthem of some sort to all of the people that are a part of my life.  I hold them close to my heart and i will never let them forget it.  Family and Friends mean the world to me.  They make me what i am today. MY LIFE IS FOR MY FRIENDS!

The Difference Between Michael Madsen and Tom Sizemore:
Have you ever let a relationship (friendly or Intimate) become so saturated with lies and deceit that you dont know whether to continue trying to work through it or to just write it off all together?  This is what i chose to write about.  like i said before friendship is everything to me.  so dont take it for granted.

So thats that, if anyone cares, there are the meanings of the songs that we have as of now.  i hope you enjoy.

the difference between michael madsen and tom sizemore

weve come to a crossroad
burning bridges from the inside
how much will could it take?
to find a subtle bend in this time of strife
weve been at this game long enough to own the whole team
feeling out life one step at a time
if these walls could talk they'd be fed up to the ceiling
our chandolier has heard it all before
you scream and shout to hide your fear
but we all know what you hold so close to your heart
its the little things that left us here to rot
this is the end
we never thought it would end this way
A swollen home is the role you roped
filling our falic throne
setting this life aflame
mistaken and distraught
trapped inside a shell full of choices
for us to discover friend and foe
all our travels have ended up in misery
our misery
but this time will pass like it did before
weve all been let down before but this time we say no more

well well well, where to begin....

as most of you know we have recently been added to the veritas et aequitas records family. Brent is an amazing guy and we seriously are more pleased with our decision everytime we talk to him. we feel a mutual respect that cannot be duplicated with anyone else, and we hold him in the highest regard.

so with that being said, we just solidified studio time with the wonderful otte brothers (joel and troy from the band Brothers) for late april. we will be recording our debut ep with them and are extremely excited to get to work. this is going to be the biggest sounding album to ever grace your ears, well maybe not, but thats what were going for. haha. so when that bad boy gets done we will start promoting for our cd release party. so keep your sweet ass ears to the street.

track listing is tentative, but if you would like to know it will be as follows:

1. We aint got enough popcorn to feed the whole damn chicken
2. The Best Man
3. Period Blood Sandwich
4. Anthony Michael Hall as "the geek"
5. Ted Bundy Vs. Peggy Bundy (cagematch!)
6. Brothers In Arms

we also have some huge shows coming up, and we have tickets for the mighty mighty horse the band at the intersection in grand rapids. get at us if you want some of those hot little shits.

well i believe that is it for now, keep checking back with us and sending us sweet sweet lovins. we like to hear from you.

thanks for reading and remember RIY loves you
