The re-released version of Weapon X & Ken Hells debut album is now in stores featuring the hard to find banger Ah Huh and the Weapon X/Jase collabo Im The One, as well as a video interview in which the artists breakdown each track and its significance to them, on-set footage of the Drive It Like Its Hot video, plus full videos for Otherman and Sneakerpimpin.

The good people at JB HIFI are supposed to be bundling any purchase of this CD with a copy of Scar-Non III:KTTH. If you cop it at JB and they dont give you a mixtape then email info@illusive.com.au and let our record label know the store location.

After some grueling days which turned into nights and so on, the third chapter in the IFA Mixtape legacy is almost ready for the public.

SCAR NON VOL3 - DJ A-Style's KICK TO THE HEAD MIXTAPE
Featured guests include GMC, Justice & Kaos, 4th Write (360 & Pez), Anecdote, Savage, Esscay, Tommy Carson & the long awaited return of the monobrow emcee - Take It Easy Heezy.

In addition to the usual flips/remixes and sick sixteens from all concerned, KTTH also features a preview of new material from ILLUMNI which is Weapon X & M-Phazes' much hyped collaborative project. The EP is due later this year on Solid State Recordings and the sample offered is 100 ylan-endorsed 'Hot Fire'!

Another Exclusive track is the collaboration between Weapon X & veteran melbourne producer Jase. The resulting track "I'm The One" is schedule to appear elsewhere in the coming months, however the official remix (also by Jase) is only available on KTTH.

As if the 20 Tracks of fire wasn't enough, we'll also be including the brand new Video for Take It Easy Heezy's - Drive It Like It's Hot as a bonus...

The Mixtape kings return soon. Please Be Patient and beware of Cheap Imitatings.

So we hit the 1000 mark which is something i have been eagerly awaiting.

It's quite fitting then that the same day would present me with a new type of social strangeness brought about by having such a website.

Myspace friends really bump up the chance of seeing someone out in public whose face you recognise but cannot place....

What's more is even if you do remember where you've seen them before- What then? Don't get me wrong, at a show or a club or something it's only an extension of the social weirdness that being a somewhat known emcee provides. Thing is, today i saw someone whilst shopping, and I had a moment of 'who's that?' before realise that i can't just say 'Myspace Right????'...

What's awesome is everybody can enjoy this new weirdness...

So what's the protocol? Look at the ground and ignore it ever happened? If so, can you then message or comment about it online or should it never be spoken about?

I may have gone too far by even bringing this up. They'll be coming for me soon.

Current mood:inspired again
Unbelieveable. I know i bang on about dude but he keeps comin with new reasons to talk him up.

Check out "Dumb Out" - a new track on his myspace....

Jay-Z needs to do two things, release the new Budden album with decent marketing - and come back to the rap game with an album halfway between Blueprint and Reasonable Doubt.

"It shouldn't be a question of you're favorite rapper, but my label got me questionin my favortite rapper...."

Okay so this morning i'm sitting in my beater, 874 chinos and slippers (house shoes for those in the US), eating Nutri-Grain and a Fort Minor clip comes on Rage. Now i knew this was Mike Shinoda's (Linkin Park) new solo-esk project with him playing almost every instrument and producing everything, and of course rapping. Having heard the first song wihch had some spins here it was more of his same style of spoken raps from the LP stuff and not my style of music...

Then this new clip, which features both emcees from Styles of Beyond (Ryu & Tak) comes on - shit is pretty ill. Having surfed to the SOB myspace page i got to peep the video for another FM song featuring SOB and it's even better. Ryu's verse is insane and gives even more hope to a fellow whitey with sporatic facial hair. My man Step Daddy Ducketts says word is these dudes feature on about 5 tracks on the FM album. Should be enough to tide me over to the next SOB album....

If you missed Styles of Beyond / Megadef you need to cop it asap....

Well, it's old news now, but we didn't win the award for best turban at the 2005 Aria Awards. It was however one of the few awards which Missy Higgins didn't win, allowing Daniel Merriweather the opportunity to take the plastic trophy back to Melbourne. As a Plan B result, we we're pretty happy anyway. We lost our opportunity to rant on free-to-air TV. We really thought Jade Macrae would take it, and wouldn't have argued that it was ill-deserved in the least.

On the event itself - pretty boring. They shoot three hours footage (Including ads) over a 5 hour period, plus the two hours of red carpet stuff. Real long day. It looks better on TV too, while you are their it feels less a show than an annual corporate conference.

Most agreed that Jimmy Barnes was the highlight, even us rap dudes. That man has some serious chops. Aside from him though, the domination of (shit) pop rock music in this country is offensive. A confrontingly 'white' event. Having an 'Urban' catagory rather than separate Cats for R&B/Soul and Rap/Hiphop is frustrating, but the only way to change it is to A) let these fuckers know we want it changed (I can tick this already) and B) release more quality music in quantity (artists that's your job) and finally C) (for the public) vote with your wallets and buy the quality Australian HipHop and R&B that is available.

To sum up - a pretty big buzz to be involved but not what i thought it would be like. Will return as long as we are nominated. Couldn't find Andrew G to warn him about being a fucko by getting involved in hiphop politics, he'll keep though.

Peep the photos page to see a sample of the assembled rap dudes on the night.
