Where do I even begin? Last weekend was exponentially exciting to say the least. We had friends over for the weekend and of course the PRIDE was something that we all celebrate each year. This isnt only about drag queens and leather guys but it is one day in a year where homosexuals celebrate their identity and morale independence.

Anyway, thanks Jati for all the malaysian authentic spices you brought me. So very kind of you. Merci beaucoup!! We all went out for some karaoke on friday night and had heaps of fun. I thought karaoke is asian's past time fav but europeans seem to love it too. bravo!! Some pix frm the weekend

This city is so vibrant, it comes to life with so many activities and festivities. Went for an afternoon stroll, watched the Red Bull Kart Race. A yearly event that attracts thousands of people and hundreds of fun loving, crazy go-karters that never fail to come up with some ingenious ideas! hehehe

After the long stroll, we chill out in our own courtyard

The weather has been so kind to us all this weekend. I keep my fingers crossed that this summer will be a warm, sunny summer and not as last year's. Anyway, belgian weather is rather unpredictable. So, we all have to enjoy all the sunny days ahead hehehe

Went to Sunday market today and bought a few dozens of little flowers as window sill treatment. Not only they look nice but they give a very homey ambience and in a way, gives us all a rather sunny outlook on life

Im in between checking my BBQ and posting this blog... so better get going now before my guests have to eat charred, burnt sausages hehehehe

" When spring comes, it sweeps you with its gentle soul It perches you so tenderly that you sway in trance like form Oh deary, how shall I see The true obligate form"

Hehehehehe.... just some near midnite splurge of poetic minds I suppose. Anyway, I've been keeping rather mundane the past weeks. Busy with work but at the same time, I start to enjoy 'myself' time again. Somehow, I have lost that sense of privacy and the need to be left alone and now Im back to being myself again. No fuss, no exfoliating and excruciating entries. I set myself free, at last! I wonder if I had been too keen on minding others and if it was wrong to speak one's mind or better still, to conjugate oneself to what is 'clanly' appropriate?! WTF!!!!! I couldnt careless actually. Life goes on LAHHHH..

So, where do I start? Oh yeah, our holiday for September is booked. Katolika, Italy it is. Basil will be tagging along too. Thank God for pets friendly hotels!! Im gonna do yet another culinary adventure hehehehehe... dont you guys remember when I said, Im eating like a pig??? I really do actually. So, dont be surprised if I appear in my blog looking like a roasted pig :-)

Jati, the Bornean guy who is studying in Paris is with us now till Sunday. Really is a welcome visit actually. I have been talking in my mother's tongue and of course my 'akak' lingos!! hehehehehehe... celaka ko kek ehhehehehe One thing for sure, Im not the only one that is camera crazed ;-) Jati lurvesssssssssssss to be in pictures... he is wayyyyyyyyy too diva-ish hehehehehe Some pics from our adventures in Brussels

We were both tired, hungry and lazy. So, Filip went to GB and quickly made something for dinner when I realised I still have fish head curry frozen in the freezer. That was heavenly... spicy, sweet and sour fish curry with aubergines, ladies fingers and tomatoes... just made me cum and cum again, eating of course

A sarawakian guy who is doing his PhD in Sorbonne University, Paris will visit me next month. I actually havent met this guy but was introduced to by an online friend. Im rather excited actually to host a fellow sarawakian hehehehe. I probably will cook fish curry again

My hubby thinks fish curry stinks!!! How dare he!!!!

Gonna surf again for our end of the year holiday. Im thinking New York would be fine but perhaps, somewhere warmer and cosier. Perhaps Egypt or somewhere in the middle east or east africa. Havent made up my mind yet but will do somehow. June will be spent in south of france, somewhere near Cannes. Paris Hilton, you can do your marching out walk now cos Im coming to St Tropez...  biyatchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Big Ben, London Eye, Underground, London Bridge and so many more attractions have put London as one of my best cities ever! The warmth of its people and a charming english kind of vibe really takes on my fancy. I will be back

Sunday, February 24, 2008

We are going on a well deserved holiday or rather a break, 4 days get-away isnt exactly a holiday to me. This time it’s London, an english metropolitan city. Euuuwww.... lotsa twiggies ;-))

A particular incident this week has made me more thankful for what I have really. I may not have the perfect life or the perfect love but what I have is real, it’s made of a solid foundation that we respect and love one another. Period!

When I see a friend breaks down because of unhappiness and love lost, it breaks my heart but then again, that’s life. We have to be strong, independent and must always be tactful in how we manage and handle what comes our way. Freaking out, crying a river or leaving everything behind thinking that it’ll make one feels better wont help anyone. Never ever beg for love or let someone love you out of sympathy. It’s not healthy and it certainly wont last very long.

The essence is, dont be afraid to wear your heart on your sleeves but never cease to be prudent on giving the best of yourself. You never know what’s in store for you around the corner. When you sassying down the street, always keep your eyes wide open and shake your booties a little

What an eventful weekend we had. Chinese New Year party with the family of my in laws followed by filip's birthday and house warming party. We have enjoyed everyone's company tremendously. I have also been cooking, literally cooking I must say hahahaha... thanks Hazel (my cousin in borneo) for the satay recipe, it works and everyone loved the satay! hehehehehe

Can u imagine a BBQ party in the middle of winter? hahahaha... Jun and I went to BRICO and bought a BBQ set, I actually was thinking of the coming summer actually, little that I know I would be using it this soon ahhaha.. it was fun though, only I smell and look like smoked chicken in the pix...

On a serious note, 2008 has been a life changing year for me. Sometimes, when we think that life is all about fun, about associating ourselves with all the gorgeousness of the world, and couldnt be bothered of what really matters, it will all come to an abrupt end when we discover something's amiss. I have begun to understand that life is really that short and while Im still here, I want to be a good person, I want to love people that matter to me and to not take them for granted. Strange how fate reveals itself and the many faces of trials and tribulations.... it's been good though, at least I have discovered what true love means and am blessed with a partner, a lover and a soul mate that loves me so unconditionally. Filip, thank you for everything. You are the only reason why I havent given up on everything, on life and just rot away to nothingness... you assure me that there are yet dreams to be made real, aspirations to be fulfilled and to make the best out of everything..

Wishing everyone a joyous and wonderful xmas. I hope 2008 brings you joy, happiness, love and success in all your undertakings.

Im a little bit sad because I couldnt find my digital camera. It might have been misplaced, we have been looking for it frantically around the house and nowhere to be found. Thus, no new pix will be posted for the unforseen future *sigh*
