christian, tess and i recently moved to paris. we plan to stay a year, two, or more :)

"it was quite an adventure. our arrival. the previous tenant of the apartment, locked herself out, hired a locksmith to make a new lock, and didn't give the new key to the landlord!. So we ended up waiting a couple of hours for the locksmith to come and make another new lock! we had drinks at the cafe/bar downstairs, with the landlord. ayayay!
the apartment is tiny. what we had expected. the toilet is miniscule! we had to rearrange some furniture to make some room! we're not crazy about the sofa bed in the living room so we folded it away. LOL! it's not a luxurious apartment but liveable. 
i will need to buy new curtains... flowers...maybe try silk roses...
what's great is that we can walk to the Eiffel Tower! i will post pix soon. 
so many people picnicking on the grass, watching the tower :) we're doing that tonight. picnic/watch Eiffel Tower. Every hour when it gets dark, they light it up :) very pretty..."
