NEW COLIN BOYD "SHINE" CD RELEASE AND COLIN BOYD BAND CD RELEASE PERFORMANCE

Dallas singer and song-writer COLIN BOYD's new album SHINE will have an official release on Tuesday January 6th, 2009.  SHINE will be available for purchase locally at Good Records, Bill's Records, and CD Source.  In addition it will be available for on-line ordering, as well as on iTunes and various other digital download services.

THE COLIN BOYD BAND will be performing a SHINE CD release "extravaganza performance" on Saturday January 10th at CITY TAVERN.  Dallas roots-rock band SOUTHERN DRIVE will open that show.  THE COLIN BOYD BAND performance will feature tracks from SHINE, old COLIN BOYD favorites, and MANY special guests.  

The show will start at 10pm and there will be NO COVER.  

A few facts:

* SHINE is COLIN BOYD's first CD of original material since 1997's SINCERITY.
* SHINE was completely recorded and mixed by COLIN BOYD.
* The title track, SHINE, has been in medium rotation on KHYI 95.3 FM since July of this year.
* COLIN BOYD has had songs recorded by these artists: Jack Ingram, Carrie Underwood, Kristen Garner, Sara Hickman, Monte Warden, Domestic Science Club.
* COLIN BOYD's song, FLUTTER, is JACK INGRAM's first billboard charting single.
* COLIN BOYD is a Dallas Observer Music Award winner, from 1997.
* COLIN BOYD performs locally at OBZEET, ST PETE'S DANCING MARLIN, THE GREENVILLE BAR AND GRILL, and every Wednesday at J PEPE'S on lower Greenville.
* Other COLIN BOYD CD's on Happy Cat Records are 1994's JULIET, 1997's SINCERITY, and 2000's CHRISTMAS WITH COLIN.
* At midnight during the January 10th SHINE CD release performance, on January 11th, COLIN BOYD will turn 46 years old.  Come celebrate!
