Hello friend! We're very excited to confirm that we'll be making our first venture into a studio in June! Deep Blue Studios in Adelaide is operated by an old friend of ours, and we're going in to record a single - oh my! In return for their generosity, we've promised to tell people about them, because, well, they're damn good at what they do and a pleasure to work with. You can find out about them here if you wish: http://www.deepbluestudios.com.au/While we're posting links, we thought this would be a good time to tell you that some tracks from our Driving By Stars demo CD are now up on the Triple J unearhted site. We just wanted to invite you to rate and/or review our tracks - tell us what you really think. Here's where to start: http://www.triplejunearthed.com.au/jupiterleadpeace the Leads. x

Friends. We've been quite busy over the past few weeks, and it's set to continue, so here's an update on what we've been up to and plans for the near future.
BUT before any of that is said, we just wanna say thanks to everyone for their support and feedback, and as always we welcome your comments, feedback and messages, and just love it when you get in touch. We try our hardest to always reply.
ALSO, if you want to stay in touch with us via Facebook, have a search for the Jupiter Lead group and fan page. It's very easy.
Anyhow, April was so much fun - first the launch of the Diving By Stars demo CD that we recorded once again with the help of Ben Dring. Thank you to everyone who made it to the launch and for all the feedback. You've made us feel very special. That launch was at WOW at Ed Castle, and we were back for Transmission Live! a few short weeks later to join Adelaide's own kings of danceable indie rock, The Touch, supporting The Dirty Secrets as part of their national tour. As always, playing at the Ed Castle was a barrel of fun.
May has been/will be a busy, busy month for us, we'll be playing here and there and a few new places. We're calling it Jupiter Lead's May Mini Tour. Why not?
We just played our debut at Rocket Bar, and we were stoked to be asked to headline on the night. We had an absolute blast and need to thank a lot of you for coming out to help us make a real night of it. Special thanks to The Keepsakes who opened with an absolute cracker of a set. We're sure you'll see us collaborate again in the future. And we're sure you'll see us at Rocket Bar in the future too.
This Saturday we're at Rhino Room with Ambush Marketing. Rhino Room has been good to us, it's where we launched our new line-up, and we're chuffed to be doing our first show there in quite a few months.
We'll be playing a live set on Radio Adelaide on Tuesday the 26th of May. Tune in to 101.5 FM at 9pm to have a listen. There'll also be an interview with some or all of us, and we'll be guest programming a few songs.
Finally, we're finishing the month of supporting She Said You at the Crown and Anchor, which we've never played, but can't wait to. She Said You have supported a number of big Australian acts, including Evermore, You Am I and many, many more.
For the future....
It looks like we'll be heading into the studio in early June to record our first single. Deep Blue Studios (http://www.deepbluestudios.com.au/) made us an offer we can't refuse, so we're fast tracking our first trip into a studio to record a single, and we're primed to release it in the coming months.
There should be a few very special suprises in the next few months, so keep checking back, we'll keep you updated.
Hope to catch you at a show soon,
the Leads. x

Perfect Distraction
opposite ends attract the tendency is to relapse and start again waking up slowly transient figures walking in circles and sleeping in and secrets lie hidden inside picture frames as silhoutted figures slowly fade.
left me searching for the perfect distraction lessons learned in war, so easily forgotten.
find an excuse in innocence of youth and everybody's searching for the truth watch it all blow up into familiar scenes and it starts to get to me warns of the unseen and years gone by we could have wasted should have loved the ones we hated should've known where my place is
left me searching for the perfect distraction lessons learned in war, so easily forgotten.
The City
i got away easy, i could leave this place behind slinking further from the city to the place i live inside my mind
we could take some time for the future we could waste a phase or two turn against the flow of traffic and do the things we love to do
the rhythm of your heart with every passing beat traced the softly glowing outline of another mountain peak and the whole scene looked like the backdrop of the city where you once lived and the strain in every word that was spoken made me feel like it was my heart that was broken like it would've been, had you gone away.
that face you see in the concrete ain't the one you saw before but the people who surround you they only want to see it more you stroll the streets i fall behind your hands are safe but not in mine the sparks of fire the flare seems gone dreams of life so near now wrong.
had you gone away i'd miss you but time is running out i keep standing up but i can't i can't stand out over you.
Roll on December
roll on december screaming to the top of the world gotta get the hell out of here next stop's ten thousand above
the drive just aint that smooth anymore the road's just not how i remember it before the light, the image still a mile a way still i know that i'll see you at the end of the day. in the distance growing stronger life goes by and the days get longer.
time goes by and the days get longer december comes and we wait no longer.
Sweetest Addiction i saw you believe me all alone in a room no one was there distant spaces inviting hate for what's not fair. and fear of failure grows inside the hearts of men untold and i think to myself "how the hell is life so cold?"
sweetest addiction i know when life is crashing down.
i found you surrounded by lies and cheats all troubled minds misfits, pill pops never thought that i'd see you blind now you stare me in the eye words like hypocrite untold and i think to myself "how the hell is life so cold?"
sweetest addiction i know when life is crashing down

so its been some months since we've written anything here... and what months they were. through April to July, we played a whole host of shows, some memorable, others not, sharing the stage with the likes of two of our favourites (and good friends) The Last Broadcast and The Shiny Brights, as well as other local acts of note Mona Lisa Overdrive, Jimmy & The Mirrors and others, plus interstate acts Cloud Control and The John Steel Singers. It also saw the begining of a beautiful friendship with The New Article as we played one of the last shows EVER at Fad Bar. In July, we farewelled our Tim, our original singer, great friend, muse and resident genious as he migrated North to Europe, to enjoy the Northern summer, and probably to breed. so, after a brief pause in August, we welcomed Matt (vox) and Tom (keys) and then Hunter (guitar) to the fold. our sincerest thanks to those who came out to support us at our shows with the the new line-up(s) in September and October, including our first headline show at Ed Castle last Friday with our new good mates Lyla. as for the future, there should be a host of new recordings available in the coming months, and we hope to see you around this fair city sooner rather than later. thanks to all for the support. it means the world. the Leads x
