Wow.

I'm married. It's weird to be married. To dedicate yourself to someone for the rest of your life, until death do you part. Those words may not seem that important to you, being single, but when you are put to the question at the point of marriage it's quite ...how do I say... mindblowing!?

But I'm ok with it! Actually, I wouldn't want it any other way.

2009 has been quite a significant rebirth for me. It has been unlike any other point in my life. A year ago I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, while I was dying in a hospital in Toronto. At one point I really thought: "This is it. I'm 42, and I'm about to die." At 110lbs they finally gave me the medicine to save me. From that point on it has been a slow recovery. I can't explain how long it takes to make a recovery like this. The doctors say 1-2 years. This isn't just some bad flu— it's far far worse.

..but everything is ok now.  I'm working on a new album— it's half written at the moment. The future looks quite bright for me and my new wife! I'm excited!

Hi Everybody!

I'm getting married tomorrow in San Francisco to Der Osnec. I am currently sitting in a mansion in Mill Valley, California. It's raining, but it's beautiful with all the redwoods and hills.

Just got back from coffee and bagels from the Depot in the downtown. yum

I blew my shoulder out from sleeping on an oversized air mattress, too. Not the most comfortable, but hey...

I'm a little bit nervous, but not as bad as I thought I would be. I think that was mostly due to the American border guards being so difficult to deal with. We got sent back to Canada! I had to get some documents before they would consider letting us into the States. To make a long story short, I obviously made it into the country. Drove through Washington and Oregon. Just like in a cliche story the second we cross the border into Northern California the sun started shining, the birds started singing, and it immediately got hot. haha!

I'm enjoying the rest of day by going to the SF Zoo— and no, I have no desire to jump into the cage and play with tigers. Then it's family family family. Oy vey!

All the best
