So, we just uploaded the unmixed version of the first song of our new record. The song is called 'Title Track' and here is the lyrics and explanation.

"TITLE TRACK-

the measure of your worth in failed resignations
a birthright to fail, born into decline
successes and regret align, the golden child dethroned
thrown before wolves to recognise/realise

the wisdom of men, their desperate salvation
to wither and follow, to destroy foundations

the natural end, the constant renewal
of who will wither and who will follow

crushed by everything."

Description;
This song was meant to be based on the process during which mountains are formed and continue to 'grow'. The song is about thinking that your life is lacking and/or being convinced you have no part in regular convention and feeling nothing for most people and the daily tasks we are forced to carry out, but becoming something better/stronger as a result of the circumstances that put pressure on us and shape our lives- it being these experiences, the unknown, that determine what paths we take and the lives that we lead.

On a new record related note, this will be the tracklisting!

1. TITLE TRACK
2. THE HOLY MOUNTAIN
3. MT. GAMBIER
4. THE WEIGHT OF DAYS
5. SNOW
6. TOMBS

Thanks as always,

So! Some things've been going on in at Hammers HQ that you may or may not know about..

Andy decided to leave the band. It was a bit of a shock, but we love him a lot (and Nick and Daniel are still in other bands with him!) and if he's happy.. we're happy. We thought about a replacement.. then decided to just keep it as a trio. So onwards, Daniel started doing some vocals, we had to ditch half of the new songs we'd written because they just weren't possible with one guitar, we wrote a new song or two and here we are..

We sold out of our copies of the Jesus Of Spazzareth split (review here http://www.onlyfoolsandnoises.com/hammareth_split.html ) at the Paint It Black / Ceremony shows, freakin' rad times all through, thanks to everyone who came out to those gigs. We know they weren't cheap but they were certainly worth it. And now, the exciting things..

With time running out before our November tour, we decided to record the 6 new songs we have and release a new 7" for the Black Elk tour. Our plans have shifted from an 8 song 10" to making a one sided 6 songs 12". We will again head down to Stuck On A Name studios in Nottingham to record a week on Sunday, the 11th October to make some noise. The songs we were going to record to go on the split with Dolcim were sadly songs that fell apart in the aftermath of the Doyle departure, but as soon as this record is done, we're going to finish up some new ideas to keep that plan on track. We're going to be releasing that as a collaborative effort with our wonderful friends at React With Protest records. They are also releasing a DVD of footage from this years Cry Me A River festival, which'll have some footage of Hammers and of Hammers playing minigolf. Essential purchase. Visit them in our top friends, buy every record they put out.

The new 7" will be out in time for our UK tour with new buddies-we-haven't-met-yet, Black Elk. We are pretty damned excited to playing in some new places in the UK. Here are the dates;

14/11/09 - Sheffield, venue tbc **NO BLACK ELK**
15/11/09 - Wolverton, Crauford Arms w/ Black Elk
16/11/09 - Canterbury, Farmhouse w/ Black Elk & BOW359
17/11/09 - Plymouth, White Rabbit w/ Black Elk
18/11/09 - Leicester, Criterion w/ Black Elk
19/11/09 - Glasgow, Captain's Rest w/ Black Elk
20/11/09 - Leeds, Brudenell Social Club w/ Black Elk
21/11/09 - London, Notting Hill ROTA Club EARLY SHOW w/ Black Elk
21/11/09 - Kingston, Fighting Cocks w/ Black Elk
22/11/09 - Birmingham, venue tbc **NO BLACK ELK**

Black Elk are awesome, check them out: http://www.myspace.com/blackelk

Thanks, as always.

Current mood:BATTLE OF WOLF 359!!
So, I'm sure the others will write their accounts of our European adventure, but I wanted to jot down some notes and run down what went on and how downright an incredible and humbling experience it was. I'm writing this from memory, so some parts may be sketchy, others may be rambling ficitional nonsense. Mostly facts, though..

As most of you will know, the tour was in danger of not happening after my car broke down the week before we were due to leave. We ended up cancelling our gigs with Limp Wrist in Nottingham (bummer) and our first Europe show, a house gig in Utrecht with Karaktermoord and Liar Liar Cross On Fire (incredible bummer). So, first off.. I'll again apologise to the 593 collective in Nottingham and to Martijn and Michiel in Utrecht.. we are so sorry we couldn't make it to those gigs like you would not believe.

However, we did eventually hit the road two dates late with a replacement engine (AND a replacement gearbox - seeing as the garage managed to render my original, working gearbox.. un-working..) and whereas we missed the Friday of Trashfest and seeing some of our friend's bands', we arrived in the Netherlands midday on Saturday and the fun began..

Sat 20/06 - Trashfest, Steenwijk. Netherlands.
Left Manchester at 10pm the previous evening, ferry at 4am. Arrived in Steenwijk around midday. I'm sure I watched some bands, but mostly hung out by our prematurely-erected merch table. Sold an alarming amount of records considering we weren't even playing 'til the following day. Ate too many (not enough?) seitan triangles and slept in an eerily dormant family restaurant/pub next to the Trashfest camping site. Used an extremely dust-ridden curtain as a sheet, but didn't realise exactly how dust-filled it was until the following morning's daylight. Surprised/relieved I didn't die from severe dust allergies.

Sun 21/06 - Trashfest, Steenwijk. Netherlands.
Steenwijk feels like Manchester, in that it is all teasing sunshine and torrential downpour. We wonder if anyone will actually bother coming to the venue if the weather continues as it was doing, but thankfully.. they did. We watched our new friends Dolcim and a few others before we played and then.. we played our first ever mainland gig! How very exciting! Considering we hadn't played together for at least 3 weeks before we went away (best laid plans to practice like whoa fell foul to.. work and broken vehicles and such), I thought we did good. People said nice things and we sold more records and shirts. Kylesa selling shirts for three times as much as we were aided our sales with the bargain hunters attending the gig. We all bought Kylesa shirts with our ill-gotten gains. Kylesa struggled with only one guitarist and mystery technical gremlins (we'll go and see them in Leeds in a few weeks for a second chance), we left barely one song into Torche and retreated back to our abandoned country mansion (the same not-in-use restaurant/pub..), this time finding an attic room in which to lay our four weary heads. A few games of naked darts later, we slept soundly.

Mon 22/06 - AZ, Mülheim. Germany.
We drove down to Mülheim and arrived preeeeeeetty early. We met some folk outside the venue and sought advice on how to spend our day. General concensus revealed there was shit all to do. Regardless, we ventured into town and explored, eating tasty sorbet and being somewhat amazed that we'd actually made it and that this was really happening. We eventually conceded to the fact that there was, genuinely, shit all to do in Mülheim and went to the cinema. We watched Terminator 4 in German (bear in mind that Sacha speaks a little German and the other three of us speak.. well, we just don't speak any..) We were the only four people in the theatre, so adding our own narrative and explanations of what had been said was less intrusive than if we'd not been alone. We walked back to the venue and met up with Rob and the gang at the AZ - an incredible funded former-squat venue. Rob is amazing. We ate delicious chickpea/veg curry and rice, met new friends in Fargo and fell in love with everyone. Our new friends Dolcim and Lars (of React With Protest infamy) came to the show to hang out, but we managed to make it so Dolcim could play too. Fargo were also playing but their drummer got his leg tattoo'd and wussed out. Luckily for us they had a friend who knew some of their songs so the Fargo jam-band was born! Dolcim played first and sounded pretty beatdown, then Fargo played (we pyramid'd..) and then it was us. The sound was hellaciously boomy thank to the loudest bass cab I have ever used. After the show, we hung around playing Nintendo (Street Fighter, WWF Raw, Mario Kart and that crazy game that goes 'Speed up!' that none of us can remember the name of..) projected onto a giant screen on a warehouse wall 'til gone 2am. Suffice to say, we love Mülheim a LOT.

Tue 23/06 - Oetinger Villa, Darmstadt. Germany.
Ever eaten a breakfast that lasted 3 hours? We did. Rob and friends made us so much food for breakfast that for a moment, we were a bit lost. Then we found our way and ate solidly until we were in danger of exploding. Blimey. Rob = the best, seriously. A man who shares my stubborn passion for DIY and.. well, he surpasses everything I could ever wish to be. Hospitality beyond all. We struggled to load the car (unable to move due to overeating..) and helped clean up after the previous evening.

The drive to Darmstadt was a pleasant one, we stopped off in Koln for an hour but ended up using the entire hour to find a music store to buy a few supplies. In Darmstadt we realised the venue was way more incredible than we originally expected. A beautiful, actual, mansion. We met our host and friend Tina and were treated to more spectacular hospitality. Delicious food (nomnompasta!) and plentiful drinks. We played with Toetsen (who were far too good for a first gig, how DARE they practice for over a year before playing? Ridiculous..) and our internet friends Endbringer. Mid-paced mosh isn't entirely my thing, but the drawn out bleak heaviness that surrounded it made it work for me. Everybody was really nice, but I don't think we played as well as we could've. Perhaps we were still too full from the insane breakfast? Either way, we had another amazing time and slept like tiny babies in our lavish bunkbedded quarters.

Wed 24/06 - Kafe Kult, München. Germany.
We woke to delicious warm rolls and our new favourite spreadable edibles and took some pictures of the greatness of Oetinger Villa then hit the road for a reasonable drive down to Munich. I hadn't seen my friend Markus since he'd lived in Leeds for a little while, so I was excited for that and to finally visit Kafe Kult. We arrived in Munich and had our plans to wander scuppered by the persistent drizzle and sogginess that greeted us. We skipped to a health food store and bought.. sweets, milkshake and mushroom paté. When we got back to the Kafe we were greeted by new friend Clemens who was graciously preparing food. Kafe Kult is another amazing space, the likes of which you just would not find in the UK. I spend two hours cleaning the toilets and creating a health & safety hazard for the rest of the evening (in the form of mopped tiled floors that refuse to dry.. for a moment I think of using my towel to dry them, then decide that my towel is best used to dry me in the morning instead..) whilst the others run around like children. I feel productive and in the cleaning 'zone', as it were. Markus thinks I am insane, he is probably a little right. We eat Clemens' beyond-tasty noodles, spring rolls and salad and devour our Oaty chocolate milk (Oats, my favourite grain! How I love thee!) We play with a local band called Izet who are lovely kind folk and play one of my most favourite gigs ever. My bass sounded horrible on it's own, but whilst we were playing.. it was easily the best we have ever sounded, to my ears. Markus thinks I am taking the piss, but I'm not. Best times.

We drive overnight to Ronco, on the shores of Lake Maggiore in southern Switzerland. The drive takes us from Germany, through Austria, Lichtenstein (where I get flashed by a speed camera.. I await Lichten-mail, m'lud) before hitting the Swiss border. It takes us the best part of 6 hours. We are fucking tired, but Switzerland is still the most beautiful place I have ever been.

Thur 25/06 - Dauntaun at Leoncavallo, Milano. Italy.
We wake up around lunchtime and slowly stir. From pretty much every window of the Zucconi family house you can see Lake Maggiore. It is stunning. Every time I open my eyes I lean a little out of bed and look out through the doors to the lake. I am the luckiest man alive. Sacha's mum makes us dinner and we eat risotto outside with his mother and father. We shower and get ready to leave for Milan and off we trot.

We arrive in Milan pretty early and park the car at Leoncavallo. It is fucking hot, I don't have the upper arms to pull off sleeveless shirts, but I roll them up anyway. We walk to the subway and head for Duomo. We check out the tourist spots before demolishing local delicacies and walking for forever to a record store that isn't even there anymore. My feet are on fire and I am dying. We head back to the subway and back to Leoncavallo. I throw my shoes off and curl up to sleep for an hour. Mmmmafternoon nap. Nice Americans in the form of The Goodnight Loving arrive and people chit-chat whilst I remain asleep. Beautiful Italian friends arrive and we are again spoiled with pasta, mushroom&pea pie and cooling drinks. Shows in Italy start crazy late and by the time we are all done, I am a mess. The thunderstorm that has hung over most of the evening unleashes and the rain comes down hard. Sacha drives us the three hours back to Ronco.

We realise that Versmold is a fucking long way away and that we should probably start driving north to Germany. I manage 45 minutes sleep at Casa Zucconi before we again hit the road.

Fri 26/06 - CMAR Fest, Versmold. Germany.
Sacha lasts less than an hour of driving before he needs to sleep. My 45 minutes rest do me good for another hour as he and I tag-team the drive through Switzerland. I get to drive over the St Gotthard pass and it is seriously the most phenomenal driving experience - like driving up into heaven, then just over the crest of the pass, there is bleakness, rain and wind.. we'll call it hell, perhaps.. then the descent becomes like Spring and feels like being reborn. Life-affirming. We drive for 12 and a half hours and arrive in the beautiful German countryside that is home to React With Protest records at half past 5pm. We are on first at 6pm. We unload and get ready to play, I really want to brush my teeth so I do so. I arrive back in the venue room, minty fresh, to a round of applause. They are waiting for me to start. The skies open and a giant rainstorm engulfs the venue as we play - it means we play to a full house, more people than we have ever played in front of. Sacha is more or less naked before we even start. The light fades and we are playing in the dark, dripping with sweat. We play like our lives depend on it and people seem to like it. By the last song I can't even see the frets on my bass.

I am angry at myself for not going to a CMAR fest before, but think I made up for it this time by having the time of my life. The weekend is a blur of familiar faces, people I haven't seen in over four years, new friends, every band being amazing and made up of the best people. We are surrounded by friends, great music and even more food. We sleep at the React With Protest house with a million other people and snore loudly into the night.

Sat 27/06 - CMAR Fest, Versmold. Germany.
Today is a day of rest. We eat, drink, rest and spend another day struggling in the heat. We sell out of the beautiful hand-made CMAR edition of the 'Year One' cassette that Konsti at Gafas Del Rigor (in our top friends, go!) made for us. We are so lucky to be here and to be involved with so many great people doing so many great things. We find a niche market for our shirts - the 'I'm too sweaty and have run out of clean clothes' angle for selling cheap shirts proves a winner. We run out of small shirts and only have one medium left. We again sleep at the house of Ulbrich, help clean the campsite a little in the morning and then shower and head to Münster for some adventurin'.

Sun 28/06 - Q8, Münster. Germany.
Münster seems like a pretty young and awesome city. We park up at the venue, a squatted dock-side office complex formerly used by fuel giants Q8. We stretch our legs to the other side of the docks and eat fancy pizza before walking around town for three or four hours. We cover pretty much every inch of the place, but of course, virtually nothing is open with it being a Sunday. We eventually head to Julien and Flo of Alpinist's place to eat and are treated to mashed potato and mushroom/leek/soy stroganoff-of-sorts. It is perfect after a long day in the sun.

We go back to the venue and meet up with the Dolcim guys, this time with Resurrectionists in tow too. We hang out by the dockside 'til show time. Resurrectionists are fantastic and everything I'd hoped they'd be. Sabine's voice is fucking incredible. Dolcim sound huge and play a show fitting for the last of their tour. We are again, really loud and pretty tight. Sacha thinks it's the best show we've ever played, I'm happy with that. Germany time and time again blows us away with the kindness of friends and strangers alike. We sleep at Julien and Flo's place and after more warm rolls and tasty spreads we head south into Beligum..

Mon 29/06 - Rider's Park, Messancy. Belgium.
The drive to Messancy shouldn't take us long, but it still does. Shit traffic when we are thirty minutes away leaves us over an hour behind, slowly roasting in the car. We are the first to arrive at the venue. We hang out with Graf Orlock and Ghostlimb guys, and discover that Hard Charger from Canada will also play. We opt to play second out of five to keep the distance-travelled --> playing slot ratio safe. We set up and the sound on the small stage, to me.. is perfect. We start. I break a string within ten seconds. We stop. I am gutted to discover that the only spare bottom string I have is one of the stupid nylon coated ones I mistakenly bought a few months ago. I fix up and continue. We play to only a few people, as it seems the in thing to do in Belgium is to pay into shows, then hang around outside whilst the bands are playing. The same happens for Hard Charger and Ghostlimb and it's only really when Graf play that people pay attention. Still, another great show that we are only too happy to be a part of. Super thanks to Loic for getting in touch and asking us to play it!

There is some confusion as to where we are staying after the show, it appears that Graf Orlock, Ghostlimb, Hard Charger AND us are all staying at the same place. We are sceptical. Hard Charger decide to head back to a friends in Germany and I try to call Johan in Utrecht to scope out a potential exit strategy but it is late, and there is understandably no answer. Still, we follow the guy we will stay with and the Graf Orlock van and end up staying in a pretty great small apartment. We take a little office and the other dudes take the living room and the kitchen. The guy we are staying with has Geiger books, Japanese porn and a human skull on his bookshelves. We fall asleep listening to the Doors.

Tue 30/06 - 013, Tilburg - Netherlands.
We wake up early and leave whilst the others sleep. The drive to Tilburg is an easy one and we cruise through Bastogne (WWII geek, YEAH!) and fill up on the cheapest fuel ever in Luxembourg. We arrive crazy early and park up next to Disturbed's TWO nightliner tour buses. My car looks funny parked between them.

Tilburg is a nice place and the weather is again punishing. We walk through town and find a music store so I can buy some new bass strings. Bass strings are really expensive in the Netherlands, fuuuuuuck! We snack on frites and bakery goods, before settling down in a bar next to the venue. The venue is pretty fancy, and the first 'proper' venue we'll have played. We meet our production team (..!) and are shown our dressing room (..!) and two drinks fridges full of yum (..!).. we hang out, melting in the warmth and struggling to function. Coalesce are a bit late and miss their soundcheck spot, so we set up and soundcheck instead. The venue is a bit like a weirder shaped Academy 3 but more square (for those who live in Manchester), but with a higher and bigger stage. The capacity is 350 (the big room where Disturbed will play is sold out, at 2000 people..) The sound is ridiculously huge and amazingly loud. We set up merch next to Coalesce and meet the guys and lovely gal from Otis and then do our best not to sweat over everything.

At 8pm it's show time and we file onto stage. There are more staff than audience and I introduce us individually by name to them. We start and more people fill the room. The sound is incredible and we play hard. It's weird not bumping into Andy or Sacha whilst playing because there is so much room on stage. The first four songs fly by and people are clapping quite a bit. My bass sounds funny now though. I somehow managed to lose all my onstage sound. I'm assured it sounds fine through the DI and out front, so onwards we go.. I start the first song of the second 'block' of our set out of tune. I retune and start again for realsies. We are done in no time, and all I can think is that I want to do it again. Everything again. It's the last night of our tour and also of Coalesce's and the evening has something of a triumphant overtone to it all.

We sell all but 3 t-shirts and a stack of records. People tell us lots of nice things (some of them even about us.) Everybody at the venue and everybody we meet are the nicest, most accomodating people. We are exhausted and spent, but we like to think we've done good.

Our goodbyes are drawn-out as we pass on hitting a titty bar with Otis and make the sensible decision to head to our hotel (..!!!) and sleep. It's a half hour drive to our Formule 1 motel and we crash out. At some point in the night, Andy drops his iPod from the top bunk and later has to pluck it from atop my crotch.

01/07 - Homewards bound.
We are up at 6am and breakfast'd and leaving by just gone 7am. I drive us to Dunkerque and we miss the earlier ferry by all of ten minutes. We have two hours to wait 'til the next one. I eat and sleep on the ferry and start the drive back to Manchester. I make it to just north of Birmingham and have to stop. Sacha drives us the rest of the way whilst I sleep. I wake up just around the corner from Sacha's house. We unload and I take Nick and Andy home, then speed all the way home just so I can get out of the car. I intended this to be a quick breakdown of each day, keynotes and short memories but it's turned into something of a real diary. Not bad considering I just made it up and didn't write a single thing on the road.

A million thanks and hello!'s are due to; Ray at the garage for finally fixing the engine and for footing the replacement of the gearbox when one of his lackies broke it changing the engine, 593 collective and Martijn in Utrecht for being kind enough to organise shows for us and for being instrumental to their local scenes - again we are so sorry we had to let you down, Martheun and everybody involved with Trashfest, Rob and everyone at the AZ in Mulheim, Fargo, whoever the projector/beamer belonged to for Nintendo night, Sean Justin & Matt / Dolcim, Tina and the inhabitants of Oetinger Villa, Endbringer and Toetsen, Markus Clemens and the whole Kafe Kult collective, Izet for letting us use all their stuff and being the greatest guys, Mama and Papa Zucconi for letting us stay in their beautiful home, Tadzio, Viole and all at Freego! in Milan, The Goodnight Loving, Lars & Sabine React With Protest and every single person who was involved in organising, helping, cooking for, playing, attending Cry Me a River fest, Julien, Hendrick, Benny and Flo / Alpinist for everything always, Resurrectionists, Jan hardcore, Loic, the guy whose place we stayed at in Messancy whose name none of us knew, Robert Zann, Graf Orlock, Ghostlimb and that guy who was on tour with them who I swear I've met before.., Japi & Felix and everyone on crew at 013 for letting us play at their fancy venue and for treating us so well, Coalesce, Otis and pretty much everyone we met at any point along the way..

This was a bit long, wasn't it? Goodness.

Oh, and the setlist we played on tour and what releases they are from, for reference and so we don't forget, was..

.. on one or two nights we played an extra track, which

the Jesus Of Spazzareth split and the 'year one' tape.

Did I say thanks already?
Thanks, thanks and thanks again..

Tour woes.

So, we're having some major transport issues at the moment. Daniel's car fell unwell last week and was meant to be fixed by yesterday.. we then thought we were getting it back tonight in time for the gig in Nottingham but it now transpires that the gearbox isn't selecting gears (which is weird, considering it went in for engine problems..) so in short, and in the words of Victims.. we're fucked.

However, in the morning there is a small beam of hope in that we might be able to blag a hire car from our breakdown insurance, and if that is the case then we'll be able to catch a ferry early on Friday morning and thus make Trashfest and the rest of the tour from then onwards.. that does however mean that we don't stand a chance in hell of making it to Utrecht tomorrow for the house show we were all so excited to be a part of.

We can only offer our hugest apologies to the 593 collective in Nottingham for not being able to turn up tonight, and to Martijn, Michiel and everyone involved in the gig we are now unable to make tomorrow night in Utrecht.. we're so sorry, but we've tried everything we can to make it possible.

Please support these gig organisers with every move they make, they are the kindest and most welcoming people we know and we are sincerely, absolutely fucking heartbroken that we can't be there.

Update tomorrow lunchtime on what the fuck is going on, will this shitstorm ever end? Stay tuned, sports fans..

We are starting to work on our next record.
The plan is to make a 8 songs 10" and CD, so we're going to record some demos at Gav's studio www.myspace.com/gavsrecordings here in manchester and see how the songs sound.

Then after our tour we will enter STUCK ON A NAME studios in Nottingham once again and put down the songs.

If you catch us up on our european tour you will hear all the new finished songs as we are determined to play them live and get them tight and as heavy as we can.

Expect some slower bits and some extra heaviness from our new efforts!
We're very pleased with the direction the songs are going and we hope you guys will agree.

More news soon!

In the meantime you can pick up the split 7" with JESUS OF SPAZZARETH tha's coming out on the 29th of may!
And the second press of our debut 7" is coming shortly as well, new cover and colour vinyl!!!

ODIN'S DOOM I find no comfort in the shade under the branch of the great ash. I remember the mist of our ancient past. As I speak to you in the
present, my ancient eyes see the terrible future. Do you not see what i see? Do you not hear what i hear, death approaching? The mournful cry of
the Giallr-hom shall shatter the peace and shake the foundation of heaven. Rise up our banner and gather our company from your great hall,
Father of the slain, for you shall go to your destiny. No knowledge can save you and no magic will save you. For you will end up in Fenrirs belly,
while heaven and earth will burn in Surt's unholy fire.
“The lyrics for this songs are taken from the book of heroes. Vikings rule and ODIN’S DOOM words are pretty poignant!”

PREY A night out with your friends, some relief from the stress, that's what you dress up nice for thinking you would have a good time. Not a care
in the world, the working week is over. That guy made you feel pretty, made you feel special, there was nothing wrong with him walking you home,
till the isolate corner where he shown his true side. A naive and an easy target for the worst kind of man. Nothing will give her back what she has
been taken away.
“I was thinking about writing this for a while, but the first idea was wrong. I wanted to concentrate on how a girl, sometimes, can turn herself into
a PREY by going out and getting drunk without thinking of the possible consequences. After a chat with my girlfriend about it though, i changed my
mind. Why is it that we have to be careful when we just want to have a good time? Why are we forced to avoid certain places cause they're too
dangerous? Why in this city, country, world, there's people  who take advantage of the ones of us who are just too nice, happy or naive to give in to
this culture of violence? We have to live with this, unfortunately,  and we need to take care of ourselves. So please, always remember where you
are, what you do and who you're dealing with, don't give those sub humans a chance!”

YOU’LL BE CLOCKING OUT IN YOUR COFFIN Cold, thoughtless and empty all just waiting to die, not that they’d know it in their empty lives.
Gossip and gadgetry keep us in line busying our feeble minds, constant distractions to ease the malign, shadow existence between the lines.
Dragged up from youth, trained for work, in it for life. Nothing to live for, dead end routine, no end in sight. What is the point in working for life?
Enter the workhouse, shackled for life. Log in. 9 to 5 just killing time, is killing you. Clock out. You used to feel alive, you had dreams. You used
your job, to realise them. Feel dead inside now, don’t dream anymore and your job is using you. What is the point in your life? Your time won’t
wait. What is the point is point in your life? Not a machine, a human being.
“Every day I get on the bus to work and I look around at all the tired faces, the blaring mp3 players, the gossip mags and tabloid papers. I wonder
how we end up becoming so comfortable in the process of wake - travel - work - travel - bed. I wonder why we accept that the mass percentage of
our waking life is spent somewhere we don't want to be. Not only that but this "work" lacks any real reward; long hours for a lifetime only to get to
retirement age to be told that there is no pension, YOU'll BE CLOCKING OUT IN YOUR COFFIN before you can leave the rat race.”

MASS PRODUCING DEATH Given life just to be killed, after torture. Locked in a cell for life, before execution. Bodies lay weak on the floor,
exterminated. Not a shred of  compassion, for an animal product. What a waste of an innocent life. This perpetual form of genocide. Wash the
blood from the abattoir floor and keep your conscience clean. When you add up all the facts, its murder. No other way to look at it, you’re eating
the dead. Mass producing death for human consumption.
“I'm a vegetarian but I hate to preach, I've made my choices and I'll stick with them. If somebody sees my choices and takes them on board, that’s
great! But I won't preach. However, I hate it when people belittle me for being vegetarian whilst shoving a hotdog made from pigs arseholes in
their mouth. They fail to see that what they eat was once "alive" (in the loosest sense) and that it was denied the chance to live a proper life so that
it may be fattened up and slaughtered along with countless others in a food industry that is essentially MASS PRODUCING DEATH. I don't think
eating meat is "Unnatural" so to speak but the way it is produced for a mass market certainly is! And I feel that we are in the fortunate position to
be able to make a choice not to consume it.”

WAY TO DENY I've been told not to take any risk, to think of safety first, not to use my abilities and forget what I know. Follow the rules, you
won't get hurt. I've been told some words must not be used, someone might get upset. They expect me to ignore diversity and forget what I know.
Harmless words, harmless rules.
“Here's a difficult one. I feel this a lot tho, and i just had to write something about it. The rules of "health and safety" are something kind of new to
me, I came to know about them when i first worked in the uk in 2006, I got trained for a week before I could start the job and that's fair enough.
What they sometimes forget to point out is the fact that these rules benefit the employers more than the employees. Having said that, I'm more
than happy to not get hurt while working. Another aspect of this new views on what we should or should not do is politically correctness. This is
the part that is difficult to explain without sounding racist, and i think it's because of these regulations themselves. Why is it that a teacher is told
not to call a blackboard with its name? Sure the colour black shouldn't upset anyone. Are they trying to make us forget that we are in fact the
product of what we experience, including different cultures, habits, languages, colours? To know each other we need to talk about our differences,
we need to know where we come from and how we see things. Trying to avoid the discussion is not the way to end discrimination, in my view,
it's a WAY TO DENY something that is in front of us.”

ODIN’S EYE Viking hammers crash down on your head, swing hard, swing true! The christian armies will soon be dead, smash face, crush skull!
Moon rises over Valhalla, Oh lord I’m home! Gonna die on the fields tonight! Lets drink to death!

BAD FAITH What a fucking waste, praying to the skies. What is it that you hope to find? Salvation? There’s money to be made, from selling you
these lies. Let sheep believe what they want to believe, and fleece them! Your belief has no foundation.Bad Faith. So desperate to believe that
heaven awaits you, close your mind, no room for a real view. Blinkered to the degree that you’ve abandoned this world, and all its faults, you don’t
perceive, you’re gone. Your belief. Bad Faith. Has no Foundation. Create false gods to ease the pain.

THE PROGRAM I read it in the headlines, I feel it in the streets. Safety at risk, growing fear. Don't look in no ones eyes, be ready to run. Pretend
you don't see it and ignore the cries for help. Report just what you need to keep paranoia growing. Decide what we will fear, control what we will
think, what we will vote. Don't worry we're watching with a million camera eyes. Anti terrorist measures applied to petty crimes. We have the
solution: privacy banned! Just give us complete power and it will be all right. I heard this before, I read this before, in the history books, in 1984.
“I never used to read newspapers and always felt i should have, now on my breaks at work i read the free newspapers of our city and wish i didn't.
It's probably the fact that it's free and regional ones, but i found myself reading about the latest stabbing or shooting or burglary. No need to
mention i got bored of it pretty fast, so i started to look for something more and found the celebrity culture that is dominating everyday life like
never before. Skipped that and there was not much else apart from some local breaking news of absolutely no importance. International news are
pretty much a quarter of a page and after that there's a couple of sudoku puzzles, the best bit. I also hear the news on the radio and even if the
information is more complete it's just as scary as the newspaper's. THE PROGRAM is about the way i feel all the fear that is pumped in our lives
from everywhere, media but also a big portion of the people, is somehow channeled by someone who want to keep an eye on us all the time, know
our moves and, at some point, use it against us. Anti terrorism measures and facilities are now used to spy on people with the excuse of the
greater good, though used for purposes very much far from what they were meant for. I am scared. Are you?”

LADDER CLIMBER Forsake your morals, suspend what’s right, whore out your service for highest price. To earn at any cost. Is this for your
future, what about today? Others will suffer from your selfishness. Smash the competition. Climb up the bodies of those that have fell. Fall down,
old allies under your feet. Back stab to climb to higher status. Look down at all those you’ve deceived. There's no winner on this race cause it
never ends, you know too well that who stops to rest is lost. How many times did you wait for someone to fall, just to laugh at their demise and step
on their face. Climb up the bodies of those that have fell. Fall down, old allies under your feet. Back stab to climb to higher status. Look down at
all those you’ve deceived. Ladder climber, be aware that we aiming for you. Ladder climber, be aware that we’ll be watching you fall. Watching you
fall!!
“When I was at school I looked forward to being an adult where bullying, one up man-ship and backstabbing for gain would be things left in the
playground. I was so wrong to think this. Nothing really changes, theres always somebody, some social or workplace LADDER CLIMBER who is
happy to make you look bad, belittle you, stab you in the gut and then climb atop your hunched over frame to get a little higher in the pecking
order. ”

HOST TO BILLIONS OF PARASITES This world, this organism we live on like a rash. Feasting at its flesh, digging at its insides. Disturb the
equilibrium through wanton greed and ill, the sickly human spirit will be our own undoing. We're just a virus sapping away at the earth. When it
dies we die too, when it falls we fall too. Tides will rise and cities will fall and the reign of man will soon be gone. The earth it has such fury, would
burn itself so we may die. A cleansing of the pores to wash the scum away, a cleansing of the pores to wash the filth away.
“It doesn’t take much to see that we are pretty poor guests on this planet. And the attitude that we command some sort of ownership over the
earth still prevails. It is outdated and lies restingon old christian concepts... namely that god gave us the earth to command over and use however
we wish. We have no more right to be here than anything else and we fail to see that the damage we are inflicting on the planet will be our own
undoing, it will get to the point when it becomes unhinabitable, however the planet will repair and new forms will rise. in short, the earth is HOST
TO BILLIONS OF PARASITES, and humans are expendable pests.”

FREEFALL I'm freezing, my lungs are filled with clouds. I see everything, everything's so far away. Parachute don't bother opening. Don't stop my
freefall. At this speed and height, you can't hear yourself scream. I've never felt, never felt this much alive. The fear of the point of no return. The
feeling of being free from any control.

“I don't know what it is about me that prevents me from having any fun or enjoying anything. I feel very disillusioned about life and though I've got
a few things that keep me going, I miss that childish excitment, loving something at the point you can't stop thinking about it, doing something
without worrying about the consequences because there are none. Sky diving has been without any doubt the most relieving and eyes opening
experience of my life. There is fear. And it's ok because before jumping off a plane you need to have come to terms with a few things. Dying is very
unlikely because you're strapped to a guy who jumped 3000 times before jumping with you. But it's possible. I felt calm on the edge of the plane,
4000 meters above one of the most beautiful places I've seen. And then we were off, in the air, falling, and i couldn't stop screaming. FREEFALL is
how i would like everything to be, free from worries, with a touch of fear, inner peace and very, very fast.”

we went to nottingham yesterday and recorded all of our songs.

we had a great time doing this and the boys at the studio did a good job in making us sound loud and nasty.

a couple of the 12 songs recorded will be on the page as soon as we get them and we'd love you to check them out and let us know what you think.

we're gonna start planning the release as soon as we decide which songs go on our 7" and which go on the split(s). it will probably be soon enough tho!

we are going in the studio on the 16th now, this is becasue we want a bit more time to work on the songs and be relaxed in the process.

a tape with all the songs will see the light! a friend from down south offered us to release it and we're more than happy about it.

we're working on the 7 inch packaging to make it as exciting as possible and to include loads of stuff for you to read and look at. expect super limited editions with alternate covers too! if this works out as i'd like it to, it's gonna be rad.

Finally a date is planned!

November the 15th will see HAMMERS in the studio to record everything we can play.

This will result in a seven inches piece of vinyl and, on top of that, a bunch of songs we hope to share with some fine band on a split. We will then be able to put some tunes on the page that Nick and D actually recorded and get rid of the ones you've heard so far.

We promise evrything will be out on vinyl! And if you want to release a cd, cd-r, tape version, or you would like us to partecipate to a compilation, drop in a line!

we are well excited!
