The new Hjalti record is officially out. And Will You Leave Me Thus? Say No. Say No. Say No. has been released for public consumption. We make no claims as to the safety of your headphones or car stereos. Download at your own risk. Special thanks to the Naturebot (courtesy of Pleasure Boat Records).

By all appearances, it has been an uneventful summer at D.iscontent headquarters. But the first rumblings of activity are about to be heard. The turmoil and strife of summer will become audible shortly. Hints have been dropped here and there, but soon enough, actual evidence will become apparent. Watch closely.

As if 4 DJs and 2 live sets by everyone's favorite d.iscontent artists wasn't enough, you now have more reason to hit up the Baltic Room on Sunday for Static Glide Part 2. Reigning Opticlash champion Scobot will be providing live visuals during the festivities. See you there, comrades!

Miniature Airlines [d.iscontent]

Dylan Abbott writes pop songs. Lately, he's been in the habit of
taking them apart, fucking up all the pieces, and reconstructing them
as something else, something that still resembles a pop song
structure, but just barely. When he does this, he calls the results
Miniature Airlines, and so far he's done this for several years, on
two self-released EPs ("Apparel" and "Pushpin Revolution"). Originally
known as Airliner (before a Swede with the same name made him change
it), Miniature Airlines has taken his music from poppy electro to
cerebral glitch, soaking up the influence of IDM, new wave, and
hip-hop along the way. Expect melody, splintered breakbeats, heavily
processed atmospheres, and titles stolen from Thomas Pynchon novels
from this Canadian ex-pat.

Hjalti [d.iscontent]

Hjalti [Timm Blakley] is a Seattle based musician with influences
which span from industrial to classical. He likens his minimalist
style to winter, which has the regret of summer and the hope of
spring. He has been described as liking modal chords with jazz
influences and a dry snare. He disagrees with the jazz part of this.

come out and support this fantastic display of talented producers and DJs

Well, whatever your plans for Memorial Day Weekend are,
we invite you join us at the Baltic Room Sunday for a
"Night of electronic music without borders."

On the night of the first "Static Glide" we found ourselves
displaced and without a venue after the Fire Marshal closed
the VIP Room 2 hours before the start of the night.
After finding refuge with Broken Disco our headliners from SF
killed the Makeout room but we all missed out on Struggle and Greg
Skidmore's sets. Adding these guys to the line up brings this party to
whole new level!
Wind down the weekend with us in style and superb sound presented
by Seattle's elite sound craftsmen.

Knight Rider Radio LIVE on
91.3 KBCS Friday 11-1 p.m May 23rd
with Host DJG of Variations

Big thanks to DJG For having us on the program.

We will be giving you an on air taste of
Knight Riders' upcoming Memorial day weekend party
"Static Glide Pt.2" scheduled Sunday May 25th @ The Baltic Room

Just a quick note to let all our adoring fans know that the awesomeness that is Static Glide Part 2 just got awesomer. Since there were some logistical difficulties at Static Glide 1, thanks to the Seattle Fire Marshall shutting down the VIP Room and half of Neumo's, Greg Skidmore and Struggle didn't get to perform that night. So the obvious solution is to welcome these two amazing DJs to Static Glide Part 2! That's right, next Sunday at the Baltic Room, there will be 4 DJs in styles ranging from dubstep to IDM and beyond, plus the two live sets by Hjalti and Miniature Airlines. You can't ask for a better line up, especially not for a show that's free before 10. Come early, drink heavily, and dance with gleeful abandon this Memorial Day Weekend, and the expanded and improved Static Glide. It is your duty.
