The tapes are finally here!

Due to the limited amount we've got this tape, we suggest customers outside Finland to purchase it from Detest Records (www.detestrecords.com)

Price: 3€ + postage costs.

Contacts through mail: lvainio [at] hotmail . com or here in myspace.

Yours truly will have a limited amount of this tape on sale in Semifinal Helsinki, Finland on Friday 18.12.2009. Those who are attending the death metal event of the year (/w SLUGATHOR, LIE IN RUINS & STENCH OF DECAY) can get a copy there.

In case you don't fancy good ol' cassettes, we still have mcd's available for 5€ / each (+postage costs).

As some of you might have heard, Enucleation Records is out of the picture. Thus, the faith of the vinyl release of ToDO is unsolved. However, negotiations with a new label are on and hopefully the 12" will see the light of day in the future.

Over & out,

HAILZZZ

I uploaded a new song (Spirits of the passage ) from the upcoming ASCENDED/HELCARAXË split for all you death metal fanatics.

The split side of ours will contain two songs
1.  Abhorrent voices, they whisper
2.  Spirits of the passage

The intro song will be a great tribute to finnish death metal with resembling melodies to the early godz such as ABHORRENCE and DEMIGOD. Do not consider it as a rip-off hahah.
The lineup for this recording was little bit different than before, because our bassist TUMPPI is serving his duties in the finnish army, so our vocalist TOMMI hanled the basslines for this release and made an awesome job.

Meanwhile, Temple Of Dark Offerings EP will be released through ENUCLEATION RECORDS in next month ( September ) and is in print at the moment.

Group: Ascended
Style: Old School Death Metal
Disc: The Art of Necromancy - Demo 2008
Note: 9/10

It is impressive, that I received this kind of demo equipped with so crude and heavy sound in the heat of 2008. If months ago the promo of the Catalan GRAVEYARD already foretold better times for death metal to come and cut it purely old school, the one here only stresses my words more. These young Finnish people (17/18 years old) have done to me with their first demo what bands like Abhorrence and Demilich (from which they take but influences) made you feel with their music, in some parts until the sound of the "Vulgar Necrolatry" thing that causes my hair to bristle excessively.

Influences? Pure death metal in nothing but in the pure crudity of the two already mentioned bands including something from Demigod's legendary split with Necropsy, pure Finnish school that seemed to be extinct but which is alive still. What I was astonished by at the first moment in addition to the age of the band's members, was the professional quality of the demo, sounding in every way as it should and making the thing that it took just so little time to record it seem a lie. The vocal work of Tommi Sookari is more than correct being the first time he puts out voices, the guitarists emphasize excessively creating a truly dark, very "80´s" atmospheres and in general the result is very satisfying to be heard.

Nothing but that to say about these musical young people that surely have reached the height of their influences (or surpassed them) time to time.

Tracklist:

1. Summoned by Sacrifice.
2. The Art Of Necromancy.
3. Omnipresent Evil.
4. Drifting In A Void.
