in your diary. Its a weekend of live music with the added attraction of
the LIVE MIC HOLISTIC VILLAGE. The scheduled gigs will take place
inside Conary Hall itself so no need to worry about the weather, an
intimate venue in the deepest heart of Wicklow, Ireland.

Conary
hall, nestled between Avoca, Redcross and Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow, will
play host to this heart warming and nurturing event. For more details

Observations, Meditations and Vibrations
Exhibition
Axis , Ballymun, 8th December – 30th January

Observations, Meditations and Vibrations is a collaboration reflecting on the Irish spiritual landscape through the media of music, photography, poetry, painting and film installations.  From different artistic fields, visual artist John Duffy, photographer Bob Dixon and musician Colm Quearney aka "Q" explore and express feelings and emotions associated with their own commonalities.
These three Irish males in their mid thirties from Dublin’s working class Northside reflect on religious iconography that surrounded them as children and this new Ireland driven by economic wealth yet lacking in  spiritual wealth.
John Duffy – A self-taught artist John Duffy held his first exhibition in 1996 and since then has participated in private group and solo exhibitions in The Blue Leaf Gallery, axis Arts Centre, Origin Gallery, The Helix and The Norman Villa Gallery in Galway.  His work can be found in private and corporate collections in Scotland, Paris, Hong Kong and throughout Ireland.  He also participated in several public art projects and most notably worked on the largest public and corporate commission by Breaking Ground in Ballymun ‘Amaptocare’ with artist Jochen Gerz.
Bob Dixon – Freelance photographer Bob Dixon has been working in the Irish music scene for ten years and his photography has been used on album covers for artists such as Damien Dempsey, The Frames and Jack L among others. He is also involved in a number of ongoing projects such as a series of portraits of the musicians and artists he has worked with and capturing cityscapes from Dublin, Singapore, Melbourne, Poland, Austria .
Colm Quearney – Guitarist and songwriter Colm Quearney aka Q was a member of two of Ireland’s most daring bands Dragonfly and Lir. He released his first solo album ‘The World’s Not Round’ to overwhelming critical success in 2001 on his own Strange Vibe Records label.  Q went on to work on ‘The Body Electric’ album which was released in 2004 and his next album is due for release early 2009.
