We had an amazing time in Maine last weekend, playing at the North Star Cafe on Friday night. The staff is fantastic, as is their sound system and their food! We highly recommend this stop for anyone doing a New England tour. The next night we popped over to Peaks Island to play at the 5th Maine regiment on a double bill with our good friends Ronda Dale and Kevin Attra, who are also a harmony duo. The blend of their voices is irresistible. A great crowd and a room overlooking the ocean... a great weekend all in all and plenty of lobster rolls....

We've had a few questions and lots of compliments on the cover photo of our debut CD. The answer is: yes - it's a real photo taken by the multi-talented Carolina Sanchez Boe of Paris.
The exact spot? Kensington, Brooklyn across from the Church St. F train entrance on a September evening when the sun was doing amazing things on its way down to sleep....

Peaks Island is the bomb! I love any occasion to hang there and playing a gig is an extra treat. Sharon and I had a ball and I was thrilled that island peeps Rebecca, Liz and Matthew made it out, along with KK who took some photos with some digital camera from Cro-Magnum days. Don't know if they came out or not.
If you make it up to Peaks, go get ice-cream at the corner store. I totally recommend the Caramel Caribou

Our show on Peaks Island last weekend was so much fun...a gorgeous night, right on the water, performing in PeaksFest for a room full of listening folks! Plus Sharon was on her honeymoon so it was extra special. Vanessa Torres and Carolyn Curtis also played and the whole evening was full of great tunes and voices!

We had a fabulous time performing at Googie's Lounge on Wednesday night, the lovely cafe above the popular venue The Living Room -- Lucy Wainwright Roche was down there playing while we were upstairs. We feel like we're getting better and better in terms of the harmonies and the chemistry of the set. A great crowd hung out -- some friends of our buddy Allison Scola, who played right before us, but lots of our loyal fans including Natalie, Harriet, Meg, Elisa, Jon and even Sharon's mom and dad. We played Nina's new song Nashville. 

We had a great time at Bar4 on Friday night -- I really enjoy playing there, it's a chill place and it truly has excellent sound. Some of my Brooklyn neighbors stopped by as well as some of our most loyal fans, including Nina's buddies Melissa and Anne. One of our chick songwriter friends, Victoria Lavington, also came to see the show. We played all four songs from our CD as well as Let's Be Friends, Secret Scar, Just Like Heaven, Tom Thumb, Firefly, and Little Aliens.-- Sharon

...lots of new stuff for our set. Nina is hard at work on a french song by Serge Gainsbourg and a song from the movie "Juno," while I am working out songs by Aimee Mann and Alison Krauss. Oh, and hopefully another '80s cover to come.
