Back for their first release of 2009, Bombstrikes once again hit all the right spots with a consistency the label has become famous for. The 14th release is delivered by label owners and leaders of the Funky Breaks scene; Beatvandals & Mooqee. Fresh from their successful collaboration last time out, these two serve up the kind of dancefloor gold you would expect.

‘Player’ is an out and out guaranteed ass shaker! Combining Disco hooks with a sweet bass and snapping beats it has left a trail of devastation each time it gets an airing. Over on the AA side ‘Shooting’ is a red hot slice of hip hop beats, showcasing another side of the Bombstrikes sound whilst keeping hold of the labels dancefloor credentials. With a relentless bass heavy groove and vocal hooks it looks set to be another monster!



Two tracks that will without a doubt have this Ep sitting front of many Djs boxes for some time to come.

Have not been updating the gigs much recently that is because i have decided to only do very very few Beatvandals gigs for the near future as i am preferring to concentrate on production and am so busy do Utah's gigs around the world....

I am doing a very few select ones however so hopefully see you around soon..

Having defined the labels sound, the two understand exactly what a Bombstrike release should do…and this double A sided Ep is no exception.

'Back up' sucks you in via a building horns intro before blam, it hits you smack in the face with the funkiest of guitar riffs. Dropping with the fattest of analogue funk basses, tight beats and vocal hooks, you have another absolute dancefloor monster! On the flip 'Rock Y'all' shows a more soulful side with the same dancefloor focus. Through a warm production sound crossed with B-Boy elements and the catchiest of vocal hooks, this track is guaranteed to be huge!

Two of the biggest names in party breaks back together on one record! You know this is going to blow up! Support already coming from the usual suspects.

Have just knocked up a Booty Mashup of Dizzee's Old Skool and sent to a few peeps..
Annie Mac started her show with it on Friday night which was pretty cool and it sounded great on the radio....

Working on new insane bangers, bombstrikes, remixes and mixes at the moment despite only being able to hear properly out of one ear due to an infection...It is driving me mad!!!

The Remix of 'At Night' is due to be Released on August 6th as a digital release and 13th as full release. The Actual name of the Track will be -Bad Girl (At Night) Feat. Lisa Mafia by Dave Spoon (Beatvandals Mix) on Toolroom Records.

I Have also been involved in the Production of Toni Jarvis's first remix which is also on Toolroom and is a mix of a Mark Knight tune..This is sounding great and dancefloor reaction has been really good so far..Watch this space...

Have put up a new tune in the Player today - Sunshine. Just finished this week. This is going to be a double A - side on the next Bombstrikes - Volume 5. This is a double A-side with another tune Slapdance which is a reworking of a tune with a similar title...lol
If you go to the Bombstrikes myspace (check my top friends) in the next few days then you should be able to check out a sample of it there..

I am really pleased with how this tune has come out. Big respect to the people all around me who helped on this one....A Skillz, Mooqee, Donal and all the bombstrikes Crew

As it stands there are no plans to now issue any remixes of Dj Yoda's next single "Playing Around" which Beatvandals mixed with Askillz...which is a shame..

So far 2007 has started well...

I Have uploaded new Remix of Dave Spoon - "At Night" into music player. This is getting a release in the next month or so on Toolroom Trax. It's quite cool how this came about as it just started life as many of these things do today, as a dj tool, re-edit that was just made for Beatvandals and my sets as one half of Utah Saints as well. It's Already getting good support from the likes of Krafty and the Stantons which to me is a good seal of approval.

Also have remixed Dj Yoda's "Playing Around" with Dj Askillz which am really pleased with. There was going to be a remix package for the next single and this was to be included but the record label has now decided that there will be no remixes at all so this tune may not see the light of day which is a great shame but hey, what a dj battle weapon it will now make...

Also currently working on the next Bombstrikes volume 5 which is close to completion. These are great fun to do with the agenda just being to make a dancefloor bomb...lol
Not as easy as you think!!

I think the whole music scene at the moment is really healthy and there is some great stuff around and just cruising around on myspace, you can find some totally inspiring stuff...
I play off Serato Scratch and this has totally changed the way i buy music now. I have over 25,000 12"s on vinyl so when Serato fell out of the sky, i figured that this was the answer, So i packed up 24,800 bits of vinyl and put into storage and then basically had to start again and get music into my computer...It is great though as it now gives me the chance to re-edit/re-mix any tune and then drop that night on vinyl...Don't get me wrong, I like cdj's and do use them as well but you can't beat messing with vinyl...

Am currently loving Mark Ronson's productions on the Hip Hop side of things and also D Ramirez and Switch on the more house/electro side of things. Basskleph is making some great breaks stuff and has a wicked style...One to watch..

Here's to 2007..I'll try to keep this updated a bit more often now..
