Hey!

Got your attention? Hope so.

Anyway, we're currently looking for help in several areas, and accepting new members into the group. The more members we have the better the possibility of making fan films and other really cool projects. We're currently looking for help in these and other areas:

1. People near Winston Salem, NC interested in helping to create Ghostbuster fan films. We need writers, actors, camera men, prop and costume builders, 3D digital creators for ghosts, digital special effects people, etc, and general support and encouragement. If you want to help, just give us a jingle! ...or e-mail, either works. We already have many skilled people in these areas but we're always looking for more help all of the time!

2. Artists and writers interested in helping to speed up the production of our Ghostbuster fan web-comic found at CNCGB Web Comic and CNCGB Deviant Art. We're looking for anything we can get, but especially colorists and awesome people in general. Also accepting people who would like to do guest comics, filler stories, or comic covers. Heck, we'd be interested in seeing if you'd like to join our comics and animation team which is totally separate from the Ghostbusters fan group.

3. Cross Overs! We love cross overs and if you'd like your fan fiction Ghostbuster character(s) or otherwise to appear in our web-comic, or our characters to appear in yours, we'd love to hear from you! Come on now, don't be shy. We more or less are a part of the Ecto-Zone Omnibus time line, but otherwise it doesn't matter.

4. Animators! Voice actors! Stuff like that, because we're also into animation. We have several animated Ghostbusters projects currently in progress as well as future plans. We also need animators for a video game we're working on. Heck, we'd be interested in seeing if you'd like to join our comics and animation team which is totally separate from the Ghostbusters fan group. But no sweat though, Boyer is our main animator but it never hurts to look for help, right?

5. Programmers! We're currently working on a video game that uses Adventure Game Studio. I think that uses C-Sharp programming language. We have a resident programmer and Boyer also has minimal skills concerning C-Sharp, but both of them tend to be fairly busy. If you're interested, let us know.

6. New Members! As we said earlier, we're a fictional Ghostbusters franchise, in other words a fan group, and we need fans to fuel it. Essentially only the original members Boyer, Gray, Hutchins, Pepper, and Amanda are characters in the comic, but that doesn't mean we can't add or change things up. Most of the people in our group do not want to appear in live action fan films (Boyer wants to, Gray is too busy, the others are currently a "no"), so we're looking for people who want to be Ghostbusters! And if the comic story line does not permit you to be on the team, or if you'd like to join but don't want to be too heavily involved, consider these divisions to our fan group: Central North Carolina Auxiliary Ghostbusters, CNC Jr. Ghostbusters for the kiddies, CNCGB Research and Development Squad, or if you want to you can set up your own sister franchise (also check out GBI) like Dr. Kyle Peterson's Western North Carolina Ghostbusters, otherwise known as WNCGB (he came before us)! If you're in the area, we may be able to help your group get started and we're always wanting to acknowledge other sister fan groups in our comics and stories! And we're not all about work either as groups like these can create lasting friendships and acquaintances.

You can check out our deviant art gallery for most current updates here: CNCGB's Deviant Art Page. Until next time, stay frosty, look cool, and try not to destroy any national monuments.

Hello, Ghostheads of the Carolinas,
(and elsewhere),

Just wanted to give a quick update.

First of all, we're sorry that we don't have time to check the MySpace much anymore. I know that there are many friend requests that go unanswered and we apologize. We've considered closing the MySpace and going purely with deviantart or an actual website URL.

Gray is busy being married and can't even take time to film for the movie. He has, however, been working on some custom HTML pages for a main website, both for this and for MiloTeam Studios our so-far-ameteur comic and animation company (but hopefully officially in business soon). Come to think of it, do Freelance Cartoonists get taxed for their income?

I'm still busy with college and since it's my last semester of animation classes, I need to give it my complete attention. This means less updates in general. But I have a hard time sticking to the rules, so you'll probably see updates here and there at CNCGB.deviantart.com and elsewhere.

We've opened up a webcomic archive account for CNCGB at SmackJeeves.com! Go now to CNCGB.smackjeeves.com to check it out! There are also comic pages and pictures hosted there and at the deviantart account CNCGB.deviantart.com that are not yet hosted here on the MySpace.
As far as our fan film, "CNCGB: Get Animated!" is going, it's on hiatus until Gray has time to film. If we don't get the movie filmed before the end of this semester of college for me, I may have to outsource by hiring someone to do the special effects for us. But then again maybe my college will allow me to return to use their software? Maya costs as much as $3000-$7000, Toon Boom can cost between $350-$3000, After Effects costs $999.99, and Particle Illusions? I don't even want to look. So you know we can't afford to make this thing outside of government-funded institution.

I guess that's pretty much it. Check back whenever. Can't promise updates, but I'll try. I'm working on another Ghostbuster related piece for college: a giant Ecto-Mech to fight off Kaiju monsters. When I finish it'll be added to the deviantart account.

A sneak peek of a scene from the upcoming Central North Carolina Ghostbusters movie, CNCGB: Get Animated! Gray is trapped inside the television by an angry ghost. Although we hope to get this done in time to pass out copies at the upcoming Greensboro convention, let's be realistic: there's probably not enough time before Febuary 8th.

CALLING ALL GHOSTHEADS IN THE NORTH CAROLINA AREA!

It's official. It's the end of the world as we know it.

We're doing a movie around the idea of Ghostbusters in space in tribute to Dan's original GB idea before Harold came on board to set it in NY City (which was a good thing). I need help on that if any of you are near NC. Filming officially begins in August. As a matter of fact, it's a college assignment for my Implementation Classes from fall 2008 to the end of spring 2009, believe it or not, and that unfortunately means there's a deadline. Usually these movies take a lot longer than one fall or spring, but the cast is coming together and I'm overwhelmed trying to afford and build props, costumes, find locations, etc. Fortunately lots of people have willingly volounteered without me asking, including a professor who's first 3D animated movie hits theatres this fall - he said he'd do the 3D ghosts. Crazy, ain't it? Not sure how much work he's willing to do or if he meant he'd teach me how. I'm willing to keep working on the movie past the due dates, but need something to show the profs for grade purposes.

Is anyone interested? Contact us ASAP!

Hey, Boyer here!

I thought I'd give an update and share some little news. Nothing big though. I hate talking big and then nothing happens. Anyway, the comic is coming alright but I've become busy with college classes and am giving that - or trying to give that - the priority. The comic's first issue is still not close to being released because of that.

Check here for Comic Updates: http://cncgb.deviantart.com/

Also, Gray and I have picked up interest in doing a live action. We had since become discouraged and canceled all plans of a possible live action, but that's changed once again. I've been fixing up the first generation Proton Pack prop I call the "Crap Pack" - the nuclear accelerated nightmare made from a vacuum cleaner - and am working on a second, closer to movie accurate pack. I said closer, not perfect. But our live action idea is a black and white comedy spoof in the style of all those B-rated old science fiction movies with a story and setting similar to Dan Aykroyd's original concept of Ghostbusters - a futuristic tale with space ships, interdimensional travel, time machines, competing GB teams, giant monsters, and all manner of strangeness. This way if our movie turns out crap like a lot of other online GB fan movies it won't matter because it's a black and white movie made to be like the old timey movies back when there weren't kick butt special effects. We'll fit right in! Let's hope a good story and lots of laughs can make the POSSIBLE film charming, IF we ever commit to the project.

Hello, everyone!

The Central North Carolina Ghostbusters (that's us) have been working on a Ghostbusters fan web comic, showcasing exaggerated accounts of our GBI unit's "cases."    Actually, in reality we haven't been picked up yet by GBI, but we're currently pending for approval (ghostbustersinternational.com). Anyway, the webcomic can be found in our photo gallery as well as a new deviant art account made especially for the comic at CNCGB.deviantart.com. The comic is a comedy and will not contain explicit language, nudity or sexual inuendo, or extreme realistic blood and guts. The first comic is World War GB, a parody of the book "World War Z" which features zombies. As you can tell by the cover art, there is a little blood and cartoony gore, but it is important to us that our comics are not overly violent and can be enjoyed by all ages safely.

Currently we only have the front cover up as a sneak peek. We're hard at work on the rest of the first issue. Here's hoping all you "ghostheads" out there enjoy our work!

Due to a severe case of Ecto-Acne in the downtown Winston area, the Central North Carolina Ghostbusters were unable to attend convention this year. Gray swears he had nothing to do with the Ecto-Containment breach that lead to the epidemic. In other news, the major soda corporations have been cashing in on the sudden increase in diet cola sales caused by the outbreak.

Event News:
The Central North Carolina Ghostbusters will be participating in an upcoming convention. We will only be visitors like everyone else, but if you catch up with us there we are hoping to have our first comic issue done and printed to give out at the convention.

Disclaimer:
Remember, Ghostbusters is copyrighted by Sony E
ntertainment® and profitting from Dan and Harold's creation is copyright infringment. The best we can hope to do is sell the comics just to make back the amount we spent to make them, and even then it's risky.

We will be attending the below convention (information as found off of http://www.sjgames.com/con/):

Feb. 8-10: What The Hell Convention - Greensboro, North Carolina
Location: Guilford College
This odd little convention started as a joke and now 10 years later is a popular local convention for central NC. It has Greg Stolze, creator of the popular independent RPG: Unknown Armies; Dave Dobson, creator of the addictive web game: SNOOD; as well as many others. There are tons of web comic artists, anime, bad movies, miniatures, and so much more. Where else can you find a convention where the staff will auction themselves off for charity? Oh yeah, and it is free for the general public.

This is a news clipping from a recent newspaper:

"Hello! This is reporter Joanna Potts writing. As most people know, a zombie outbreak took place last Halloween and infested our streets and malls. It was the greatly overlooked and disrespected Central North Carolina Ghostbusters that saved the day, thanks to their training from the company's New York head branch as well as their brave heroics! With me today is one of the team's members, William Boyer, here to answer our questions.

Joanna: Boyer, I understand you're the acting leader of the group. How did you get this position?
Boyer: It was more due to technicality, really, Miss Potts. I was a single field agent fresh from training and I had no team members. When I bumped into Gray, and later on Hutchins and Pepper, I immediately knew they were who I was looking for to help me de-slime this town. Well, almost immediately...

Joanna: Speaking of Gray, I hear he's being ruthlessly sued by the families of the zombies for using some sort of "lobo" on the undead relatives' heads. How is the trial going and has Dr. Louis Tully managed to open his locked briefcase yet?
Boyer: No comment.

Joanna: Speaking of the zombie outbreak in our town, do you have any ideas on how it all started? Perhaps some sort of mother queen zombie bringing the undead back from their eternal slumber?
Boyer: Uh... Um... Ah... We ... we have no idea? ...Riiiiiiight... Yep. That's it. No idea whatsoever. Could have been a zombie queen, suuuuuure... Nothing to do with radioactive proton pack waste, nosir. Not at all. Next question, please?

Joanna: So, Will, may I call you Will?
Boyer: No, actually. We wish to seperate our work from our personal lives. And it sounds cooler to call each other "Mr." and by our last name.

Joanna: I recently interviewed Egon Spengler, co-founder of GBI, during a trip to the Big Apple a few weeks back. I asked him about what he thought of the Central North Carolina Ghostbusters.
Boyer: Really? I haven't seen him since he handed me my diploma from the academy graduation ceremony June 2007. What did he say?
Joanna: He said, and I quote, "Try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light."
Boyer: Um... I believe you're mistaken. That's his famous quote on Crossing the Streams. He taught it to us in Proton Charging 101 - as well as several other classes.
Joanna: No, I'm quite positive. He was being very specific about it being a description of your team.
Boyer: Ouch...
