Hello friends. Long time no see. I'm in the mood for a waffly sort of blog.

So I did play at a festival though definitely not officially and in an unofficial tent :) The Hungamungarians kindly let me play 3 songs in their art tent at End of the Road. It was me and my acoustic guitar vs a very loud band playing elsewhere but still it was nice to play and I belted it out as best I could.

I am playing the Hungamunga Festival the weekend after next. I think I will be unplugged in a garden in the Gallery Cafe on Saturday at some point...

Also. If you feel like it I'm playing a gig at the Gallery Cafe (again) tomorrow eve (Friday). It'll be free and they do lovely cakes and things. Two of my favourite musical people are playing, that is....Ghosts of Leith aka Blue Rose Code and Miss Samantha Whates. I imagine it will be a lovely cosy evening among nice people.
 
And...I am gradually finishing off this album I have been working on at Golden Hum. I hope you will be pleasantly surprised when you hear it. I hope. I can't tell what you will think. But I feel happy with it so far. I've got about 50 copies of screenprinted Dusk EPs left which you can buy at my gigs and via here. Anything that will helps towards my album making exploits would be gratefully received as I'm funding it toute seule!

I didn't play in New York in the end but I did get the chance to record a song in a converted chapel thanks to David Peters. I knew it was a rare and wonderful experience that probably wouldn't be repeated...unless someone else paid for it/I became rich so I tried to make the most of the short time I had there (a night and a morning!). I'll share the result with you later.

At 1am I've finally found a way to post a link to paypal on here. Goodness knows why it was such a problem but the nifty widget I've found seems to solve it.
I am in Edinburgh on a break this week so will be gluing, stamping and numbering away.

Hello. I will be in New York for a few days in June. It all started last week when a friend jokingly asked me and another friend along and we took her seriously. Here I sit with the flights booked. Now I am definitely going I was thinking how amazing it would be if I could play somewhere whilst I was there...and it would feel like a waste if I didn't at least ask. Any suggestions would be wonderful - just send me a message!

Hello again. Just to keep you posted...At the moment I am just selling EPs at gigs because the screen printing man is away so my main batch of CD covers is not ready yet and I don't want to take people's money and not have anything to give them! So...if you are longing for one come along to one of the gigs at the end of April. Also at some point I will appear on iTunes but exactly when is mystery.
I had a lovely gig supporting *the wonderful* Cortney Tidwell. Thank you to those who came to see me and those who bought EPs. I was happily amazed.
I am off to Paris for a little break tomorrow. Au revoir mes amis!

Phew. 4 hours ago I started making eps. Due to my complete lack of art and craft skills I have only successfully completed ten (and I had to go back and forth a couple of times to the launderette inbetween). Now it's time for a cup of tea and bed. I'm really happy to be parting with them tomorrow at the gig...Anyhow - here is a photo of this evening's pursuits. Two blogs in two days! What fresh madness is this? I'm very excited to be playing on the same bill as Cortney Tidwell who is spectacular. Wears the Trousers magazine are giving away two free tickets for the gig. Also if you don't get those I have a link to cheaper £5 tickets as well. Seeing as I like receiving messages - you can send me a message and I will send you the link. I will also be selling copies of my EP at this gig: screen printed, hand stamped, individually numbered, limited edition...you know - the whole caboodle.  I am not having a launch as such so come along to this instead. Dear comrades. I really tried to get the EP done for the gig this Thursday but...I failed. This is largely due to fact I haven't got a clue what I am doing and I'm learning as I go along. Please know that I am nearly there though and if there is a next time round I will be swifter and wiser. An artist called Elsa Mora has very kindly agreed to let me use one of her beautiful paper cut images and the EP will be called Dusk. Anyhow - to prove things are moving along to you as much as myself I have just uploaded the EP cover for you to see. If I could magic copies into my hand I would but unfortunately I am not a magician.  Good night.
