i feel a sinking depression coming on.
I'm not sure what the cause of this is.
But i'm becoming well enough to detect and analyze it.
This is good.
I will not fall in the muck.

Go ahead, Misery, rain on me. I'm drenched but still standing strong.



Anywhos, the problem is I am bored here at home.
I am working on some new cool projects but that doesn't change the fact I feel my work is done here.
I'm so ready to move onnn!! aaa!

You know what.


A lot of coming to know yourself is
understanding the positive things about your life.

Because a lot of times
These talents and treasures get overlooked
and shadowed by everything else.

They get taken for granted
or it's just like
"Oh whatever, I'm good at this, who cares."
or
"I'm a rather likeable person, I have leadership skills,
I am a good influence, but how is that important?"
or
"Oh I know how to do this, not many people do,
but my skill isn't that special,"

It's just that
everyday
mundane
thing

"Oh, I'm just that kid in band."

"I'm just another one of those weird art kids."

"Me? I want to make it to the top.. I practice hard,
but so does everyone else."

"I keep my average to a 4.0, but I do that every time.."


but like
I think maybe
Maybe it's just as important
if not
MORE important
to understand
the good things
the talent
the determination
the actions you take
that are positive
and beautiful

That change ourselves
That change lives
of the people around us,
that influence them in
a positive way.
even though right now it doesn't seem like
we're doing anything at all.

But really
something is happening.

Something good.

So
i don't know
It's just
something to think about.

There's more to knowing yourself than
fixing all the "mistakes" of your character.
It's also about
appreciating what you have
and what you've done
And being proud of that.

Idk.
It's strange for me to say this
because I'm pretty down on myself but
I'm happy with where I am in life.
because I've got time
I've got lots of time
coming my way.

thawsoNg is a short story/graphic novel/illustrated narrative. The plot centers around a boy named SPiDER who has returned to his childhood home. Everyone he had known has left him behind while he was away. So SPiDER, realizing he cannot remain in this place, sets out on a journey alone, to reach the sea (with hopes of reaching a new life). Along the way he struggles with stresses and complications that symbolize real life. SPiDER soon learns that he must be truthful to himself in order to survive.

The story fuses mythological fantasy elements with real life drama.

Hey all!
Thank you so much for reading thawsoNg
and for your kind comments...
For now thawsong is going on hiatus.
With all this stuff going on with
school and stuff,
I just don't have time to do these pages
as regularly as I thought I would.
Also, I failed to have enough time this summer
to complete my pitch.
But I am happy with the amount of pages
I did complete!
I will see how school goes,
and I'll work on this project on and off.
I'll let you know when a new page is coming!
