Its been more than 3 months since i last recorded a full track. And 8 months since i posted a track "interesting enough" to be featured here. Busy work schedule froze my ears, fingers + booty grooves and laid me off experimenting for that long..

An evening of too much rice and Bollywood movies led me to laying down simulated Rat pedal thru' Orange amp guitar tracks over a cheesy-blocky-breakbeat loop. Its then sparingly sprinkled with tiny bits of dubby love echoes. Definitely thanks to my MacBook Pro w/Garageband + Toneport GX w/POD Farm to make this lazy take a painless event..

As usualy, best sampled with headphones.. : )

Another new track from me. This recording was done to test the "sonic capabilities of stompboxes" when they're plugged-in and recorded directly into recording software. I truly believe those tiny, colourful, boxes have a certain "grainy, gritty, dirty character" that's hard (or near impossible) to obtain through software+plug-ins combo. But soon, all is lost after too much tickering and lots of plug-ins were wired into the project. And it quickly morphed and turned into something else instead! Full of simpleton guitar riffs and some dubby-love.

Best experienced through headphones. : )

An actual exercise of recording my old gear to sell away resulted in me re-recording this unfinished demo. This song was originally recorded with Guitar Rig 2 for the guitar tones. But i've sinced embraced a Tech 21 XXL and an MXR Phase 90 for the guitars. It sounds so lo-fi, dirty, raw, bad-smelling and real. And i prefer that over the cleanliness of the Guitar Rig plug-in.

The song is unfinished still, as i've yet to add bass and guitar solos (might employ a friend to do that!). And maybe voice...

In the meantime, the XXL and MXR will stay with me for more fun! ; )

I've updated the track with one that's mixed louder. The guitars are mixed a bit more upfront too! Enjoi! ; )

I've just discovered a CD Master of a few of my songs mixed by Ah Boy from TNT Studios! They're punchier/better than the ones i've mixed/mastered. So i've decided to add them ("bigtrip" and "roadkill") here. I've deleted the "original bigtrip", coz definitely, Ah Boy's superior...

Just added song no. 1 today. Ironically, its called "2nd Song"! Its actually a dub-influenced track made from loops of the original 2nd Song version 2001 and its incarnate in 2003. Efx, arrangement and editing done in GarageBand and bumped into iTunes to convert to mp3.

This track is a dubby, loopy and stretchy affair running at 5mins 50sec. Hope it brings a smile to your face...
