Well, so far it's been a busy year, and it gets busier still...The album release...The "35 Rhums" soundtrack for Claire Denis, and another, "White Material", almost finished...Creating a piece for Louis Vuitton...Some very nice festival appearances and shows. It's nice to be doing things again!
And so we go on tour again in November and December, starting in Ireland (full list of dates. Most of the shows so far have been with the 12 piece band (the 5 strings players, Terry and Mike on brass, and the 5 of us in the live band). For Cork and Dublin Terry Edwards is busy, so the strings will be joining us in a one-off 10-piece live band meaning we'll have to play a different set and there'll be a few surprises from the past!
As for the rest of the tour...We did a couple of shows in Brighton and Reykjavik as a smaller unit which we really enjoyed and this is how we're going to play the main bulk of the dates - as a 7-piece with Terry on Brass and Andy Nice ..o. This means we'll be tackling some of our (and hopefully your) old favourites, with maybe some new ideas too! We're hoping to add some more rarities for this tour.
We're also making a tour souvenir, a live recording from earlier this year, for you to buy at these shows. We're looking forward to playing, having some fun, and maybe getting some new songs worked on, too.
We'll take a break for Christmas and then start again in February with more shows around Europe playing some of the towns and cities we haven't managed to get to so far. Dates'll be announced soon but we're certainly intending to make it to France, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Greece for starters!
And hopefully we'll even get to America! More on that later.
Hope to see you soon, somewhere.
David Boulter

Hello everyone. Thought I'd like to say a few things about our recent shows, album and what we're up to. Firstly, it's been a very busy and very enjoyable time. The last couple of weeks, since the shows around Europe, have been spent making soundtracks for two films by Claire Denis, which are going well. But that's all I can say about that for now. It's very nice to feel such a positive response to The Hungry Saw. The live shows were even more fun than making the record. Everyone together on stage, playing and singing, doing their bit, and a bit more. And hopefully the good time was felt by all of you who made it to the shows. Those who didn't, maybe we'll see you soon. It took us a long time to get there, and a lot of changes had to be made. But we we're there, and that wouldn't have happened without a shake up. It was also great to meet some new people who played before us. Murder were very nice and beautiful in Copenhagen and Berlin, and so were Sara and Gaz (Sara Lowes ) for the other shows. We especially felt for Sara, all alone on stage in Paris. Perhaps we should have picked up a tambourine or two and joined in. Looking forward to a busy summer. Looks like everyone's going to make the festivals, so it'll be the 12 of us on stage for most of them. And then we'll be playing smaller shows in the autumn, with a smaller group of people. But that's all still just an idea at the moment. Thanks to everyone that played and everyone that came to see us. See you out and about again soon. Love to the lost and found.
