I'm gonna keep it short. Since my part of the job on the new project is
officially over and it's only a matter of few weeks till the CD is
released I thought I could tell you few words about this album.
It's gonna be called Verity, with ten compositions in it which are
1. Deep Dirt
2. Verity
3. Midwich Element
4. Abyss
5. Asylum
6. Things Down There
7. Motion Creates Emotion
8. Dreamcatcher
9. Amyland Triquetra
10. I Can Be Anything
The overall format of Verity came out a bit different from my previous
albums (mostly because of new influences, new approach and new
stylistic elements I decided to try in it) - I think it's the most
video game-ish album I've ever done. At the same time I don't think it
might only appeal to gamers because every track has a set of melodic
themes setting the mood without extra help from visual content. Am I
right or wrong is for you to decide.
The album itself is a combination of slower illbient tracks (Illbient
music is basically a beat-based dark ambient, a sub-genre inside
Electronic Music which I personally consider one of the most beautiful
fields to be explored) alternating with bouncing four-on-the-floor pieces
including a heavily reworked version of Amyland which I retitled into
Amyland Triquetra (and yes, it's also devoted to Amy Lee, this time
secretly).
You are gonna hear some weird sound effects, from disturbing industrial
noises to spastic breathing, from deep rumbles to vibrating electric buzzing.
You are gonna hear flashes of ethnic percussion and distorted resonating
bells jumping through walls of atmospheric dissonance.
There will be segments led by what sounds like a detuned piano and
backed by what sounds like a human vocal.
In other words, you will be exposed to a bit of a sonic complexity
which, by the way, was entirely built from scratch, without any
commercial sound samples.
And I hope you like it. I do. Believe it or not but I've listened to
every track hundreds (yes) of times and I never got bored.
So if I got you interested stay in touch and you will know the release
date firsthand.
Thank you
