Current mood:  excited
Hi everybody, REDisCOVER here. Remember us? Used to email you all the time, but haven’t been in touch for a while? Don’t worry, we still love you. We’ve just been working on a few things and thought we’d wait a while so we could tell you properly.

First of all, we hope you guys are all OK, and thanks to everyone who made it out to the few gigs that cropped up over the last couple of months. On that note, the first big news is that we’re currently looking at putting a mini-tour together for March next year (our first!). Dates are already booked for Bromsgrove and Blackpool and we’re hoping to add a bunch more in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on our MySpace (www.myspace.com/rediscoveruk) for additional gigs as and when they’re added. Hope to see some of you non-Brightonians around the UK!

We’ll be doing the tour in support of our debut EP ‘Better Ways To Burn’, which we’re currently working on. Having had one great recording session a few weeks ago in Southampton with our pal Bunker, the three tracks we’ve got so far are already sounding awesome and we’ll be heading back to record some additional material as soon as we can. In the meantime, a teaser video for the EP is online both on our MySpace as above, or on youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUx8OM4LymY – check it out.

Lastly, thanks once again for your continued support guys, it means a lot to us. You’ll be hearing from us again soon.

Stay Red,

REDisCOVER xx

... well what do you know, today’s the big day. It’s been a bit of a struggle to get it all together but the fates seemed to have aligned just in the nick of time for us and our single 'Shutterspeed' officially went on sale at midnight. Hooray! Here’s a snippet of what music mag ‘The Source’ had to say about it:

‘... emotional vocal renderings akin to a slightly annoyed Elliot Smith and the kind of anthemic sonic atmosphere that recent Editors alluded to but never quite attained.’

Don’t take their word for it - if you want to have a listen and decide for yourself (and purchase a copy yourself for the sensationally paltry price of £0.79p), you can check it out at Amazon here:

If on the other hand you’d rather get a CD copy (and you’re in Brighton), you could always come to our LAUNCH PARTY tonight at The Prince Albert, Trafalgar St – doors open at 8.00pm and the entry fee is 4 quid, but this includes performances by I Love Zagreb, Hitomi and a headlining set by ourselves, a projected screening of ‘The Shutterspeed Sessions’ (Making of the single documentary) and a free CD copy of the track, plus a b-side and an alternative version of the single. Brillogs.

Hope you enjoy the track anyway, and to see a few of you tonight. And thanks a million for your ongoing support.

Cheers muchly guys,

Adman xx

SINGLE: RED IS COVER Shutterspeed (myspace.com/rediscoveruk)

According to the Twitter widget on their MySpace, Rediscover are enjoying a Korean barbecue in Venice. Oh, hang on. That’s the Los Angeles Rediscover. MySpace can be a confusing place when you don’t include the address with your CD. Luckily, though, it was good enough for us to venture out into Googleland to find that Red Is Cover from Brighton don’t muck about with such dull dining details, instead they concentrate on making swirling guitar pop with emotional vocal renderings akin to a slightly annoyed Elliot Smith and the kind of anthemic sonic atmosphere that recent Editors alluded to but never quite attained.
