Catalog#: OPPOSIDE001
Format: Vinyl, 12", 33 ⅓ RPM
Country: Russia
Released: 26 May 2009
Genre: Electronic
Style: Drum n Bass
Opposide Records is glad to present its 1st vinyl release. 12 inch
plate keeps corporate drumfunk / leftfield drum identity and contains
three compositions by artists of the label from Saint-Petersburg. Opposide
001 is opening with "Freud’s Apprentice" tune by DISSIDENT &
CYBERWORM. The slow and deep prelude perfectly does for beginning of
dj-sets. The cinematographic atmosphere literally bursts of sub-basses
and mad drum parts that change each other thrice and then mix into
thermonuclear cocktail. "Do you know what esoterism is?
Psychoanalysis? No. And nobody here knows. While I was Freud’s
apprentice by the way! Are you not acquainted too?" The first
tune of flip side "Mantra" attempts explaining to this ill-starred
character what is esoterism. The authors of this opus are GVOZD &
E:BEAT hiding behind alias TKB (Tru Kupchino Badman$). The composition
is notable for fine programming of percussions accentuated by thick
bass and diluted with oriental female vocal. The music is ideal for
intensive meditation. Further broaden to the limit
consciousness of the hero gains insane speeds and the question of
psychoanalysis stands no longer per se. The illustration of it is the
final composition of the release "Speed" written by young musician
Asymmetric (aka Limit). The madness achieves here its apogee and only
time knows what is going to happen...
A: Dissident & Cyberworm – Freud's Apprentice
A1: TKB – Mantra
A2: Asymmetric – Speed ¤

Psychocowboy.

MC Rastandah:

Tilt-Recordings / T-FILE-EP003: Ruffen + Dissident - "The Chip" (2002 Original) Ruffen + Dissident - "The Chip" (Isotop + Kaiza RMX)
audio: http://www.trio-music.de/mp3/t-files/T-FILE-EP003_1__Ruffen_+_Dissident_-The_Chip__2002_Original___clip.mp3 http://www.trio-music.de/mp3/t-files/T-FILE-EP003_2__Ruffen_+_Dissident_-The_Chip__Isotop_+_Kaiza_RMX___clip.mp3
"The Chip" by Ruffen and Dissident is a classic from 2002. It is an epic, futuristic and innovative piece of music, a big tune in the informal history of technoid Drum & Bass.
Watch Kaiza going crazy about it on DMF (in German) in 2004: http://www.trio-music.de/mp3/t-files/T-FILE-EP003_1__Ruffen_+_Dissident_-The_Chip__2002_Original___at_DMF_2004-09-12_moderated_by_Kaiza.mp3
However, Ruffen + Dissident were widely underrated back then, and their tunes from this period are still mostly unknown. One of the main reasons is that the russian CD labels like Totally Advanced Music, Resistance Music and Respect Family (on which most of their tunes were released, including two full-length CD albums and features on various compilations) have never been distributed outside of Russia, so our only way of getting to know about this music was the internet. Consequently, only the russian scene and relatively few "neuro-nerds" from the western countries got to hear it. Many worthy tunes like "Jesus Is The Brand" and "The Chip" never saw the light of day in record stores internationally - the only one that actually reached the scene outside Russia was "Techneceum" by Dissident and well known russian artist Paul B which came out on a Renegade Hardware EP in 2002. Eventually, Dissident finally gained some of the attention he deserves years later, with some of his tunes released on labels like Covert Opeeration, Subvert Central and Offshore. In 2006 he even had a much anticipated 3x12" LP scheduled on the Gamma Ray label which, sadly, was never released.
Now, 7 years after the original release on Resistance Music, Tilt-Recordings proudly present a re-release of "The Chip", making the tune internationally available for the first time together with the remix by Isotop and Kaiza which carefully takes the original lead theme gradually to new levels...

Fluter and Dissident "Occultured Box LP"OPPCD002 Release date: 01st of October 2008 01. Prologue (Devil, go away!) 02. Occulture 03. The first day of sorrow 04. Diving into monument 05. The trauma of birth 06. Everything old is new again 07. Fragile damnation 08. Fluter in hell 09. Cliche 10. Nosferatu 11. Sacral archetypes 12. Epilogue Opposide Records is proud to present its second release. This time it deals with an album by Fluter and Dissident. Their first studio collaboration is named "Occultered Box" and it is an outlandish, psychedelic mixture of Drumfunk Drum & Bass, IDM and dark ambient elements. One can hardly describe this music with words. Banal language in this case is unacceptable, words and letters startbreakingrhythmandlooklikethis ... Fluter and Dissident's album will provide deep emotional distress for even experienced music fans, irrespective of their stylistic identity. When you open the 'Occultered Box', revelations of a planetary scale can be made. These mysterious transmissions bound majestically over relatively modest cinematic efforts offered by many contempories. They demonstrate a real sense of theatre, in which the listener becomes a participant in rituals and hears the singing of prophets through demonic laughter...
