Just a heads-up that we are playing next Friday, January 9th, at Bottom of the Hill. We're opening the show followed by the Passionistas and then headliners Magic Bullets. DJ Primo will be spinning the floor fillers between sets.

Magic Bullets will be celebrating the release of their new 12" record, which will be available at the show.

It will be the last Airfix Kits show for a while as our bassist Alan and his wife are expecting their first child in February. We're not sure yet exactly when he'll feel comfortable neglecting his child-rearing duties to rejoin us on stage, so we have planned no live appearances until further notice. Philip and I will use the time to write more songs along the lines of our latest collaboration, "Crowd Control", which has been stirring the passions of youthful audiences in all of San Francisco's seediest dance halls. We will also possibly embark on a European tour with a substitute bass player of lesser technical caliber than our Kasameyer.

Current mood:  bouncy

Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday and made the Christmas Disco a success. It was really fun. Special thanks to the Dirty Cupcakes, Knockout, and the Young Offenders.

That's all from us til the end of 2008 but we've got some cool stuff planned for the beginning of 2009 including some records and an addition to the Kasameyer family.

Cheers!

Mark your calendars for the social event of the season: the year-end knees-up that will blow your dull work 'holiday' party out of the water. Let's face it you'll only spend the whole night moping around the mistletoe waiting for sexy Sadie from accounting to notice you, only to end up getting blitzed and waking up behind the photocopier in a pool of your own sick.

SF's favorite English & Irish ex-pat artpunk yobs the YOUNG OFFENDERS have opened up their hearts in this season of sharing and are presenting the hipsters and muso-snobs of the Bay Area with a gift to treasure: they will play one of the city's finest dens of cheep'n'cheerful rocknroll, THE KNOCKOUT (3223 Mission St) on Saturday December 13th. They will wrap the show up early so that the real business of the day, er, 'socializing', can begin in earnest. As if that's not enough, they have invited all-girl garage punk trio DIRTY CUPCAKES to open the show along with 'inexplicably Scottish'-tinged post-punkers AIRFIX KITS just to make sure all corners of the British Isles are represented (except the fucking Welsh).

Between-band dancefloor shockerz will be delivered by selecters from the Bricks And Mortar DJ night and music blog, as well as SPECIAL GUESTS! This party is NOT TO BE MISSED!

Sat. Dec 13th 4pm (NOTE EARLY START TIME! IT'S AN AFTERNOON SHOW!)

the new mondovision (SF's only punk videozine!) is up, we're on it along with Surrender, Black Rainbow, Culture Kids and Fred from Thrillhouse. Mondovision is probably the best thing SF's got going for it these days so check it out and support it.
