Thanks for your concern, but the van didn't flip, just almost went off a bridge in Kansas... so we didn't make the show, and we're so sad we missed it... But the parade goes on, we just chose our cd artwork, and we're playing an acoustic set at a benefit show soon, Lawrence and Kc more after that, check the front page. The CD release shows are coming... also an interview on lawrence.com and some homegrown buzz love.. come see us soon!
cheers brandon tctp xx

Friday, 6:30 PM, doors open 8 PM, performance begins Village is an organization/community that brings together fashion designers, musicians, painters, sculptures, DJs, photographers, etc. Collectively Village organizes events--displaying & selling everyone's work--with the long term goal is to open a storefront doing the same thing. In flea-market-like-manner photographers, painters, designers, musicians, etc. will be given space to show/sell their work. We, the cherry tree parade will be on the stage doing an acoustic set with the Abracadabras, and djs Nomathmatics. Meanwhile models will be walking down the runway showing off clothing from the six participating designers. With this show, Village wants to draw much needed attention to human trafficking, which seems to be a well kept secret. To do this Village will be sharing information about human trafficking with the crowd and ten percent of the money raised from this show will go to Hope House, which deals with human trafficking.

Beards Grow, Bodies Go:
Sleep slow sweet They take, they tear, we wake, we wear our hearts on our sleeves. Breath deep, sleep. Take your breaths, and take your steps towards tomorrow. Hold on my love. Is all hears, enticing fears that he may be gone.
We are just trying to get by. We are all just dying to get by.
This loss can kill. All my thoughts are voting unanimously. I will take your conscience- you take mine and raise a proper man. Blankets mark where you heart will rest the last days of your life.
It just seems like a lovely way to go...
Reflect:
When you looked me in eyes and you said that I was beautiful, was it the reflection of yourself that you caught? I am everything but that. I am everything but what you need- I am far from perfect.
So where are we? Are we still talking, or are we clinging to the rails of a sinking ship? Dear, let's face it I can't make it without you by my side.
Wake up. I should have asked for one more kiss. (Wake up, Madam Regret says)
We are the patriots of our plight. The antithesis of our romance. But still I cling to the hope of a future home with you. I'll just wait until the day when the light bulb above your head lights, and the epiphany becomes so clear I love you. But dear, lets face it I cant make it without you by my side.
By this time tomorrow I will be a footnote inside of the story of your life.
Wake up. I should have asked for one more kiss. (Wake up, Madam Regret says)
June Bugs in July:
Seraphic baby boys we were. Our shoulders rested above the horizon. Our enigmatic sillouettes Eclipsing the sun.
It will take more than this wall. But it will take less than that after all.
Oh child, you were my modern day Jesus with a gaping hole in your head. I tried to stop the bleeding-failed, but at least I made it quick. Child, you were my modern day Jesus with a gaping hole in your head. I would have stopped the bleeding if the view weren't so magnificent.
A terrible little boy I was I broke your fathers heart. And when your mother found you lying there that's when she fell apart. She raced to the gates of heaven to meet her little boy.
Oh child, you were my modern day Jesus with a gaping hole in your head. I tried to stop the bleeding-failed, but at least I made it quick. Child, you were my modern day Jesus with a gaping hole in your head. I would have stopped the bleeding if the view weren't so magnificent.

LYRICS:
Pity Party for Penny:
I picked a plot among the fireflys so your light would never fade. But you've been gone so very long that roots grow in place of bangs. And your hands outstretched grabbing pieces of the sky to hold in your leafy arms feeding your apple eyes. And it's a shame you burned out so bright.
We buried penny on the fourth of July. All of our blue expressions invisible that night. I planted apple seeds up and down her spine and her ripening eyes surreptitiously spying...on me.
And when I'm gone you can dance on my grave and host your very own parade next to the plot where I hang like a leaf. Yeah, we are all just waiting to die.
We buried penny on the fourth of July. All of our blue expressions invisible that night. I planted apple seeds up and down her spine and her ripening eyes surreptitiously spying.
Perfectly Polyphonic:
I'm a quintessential man by design perfectly apathetic. Always managing to remain out of sight and out of mind.
I guess I never mentioned the depth of my intention to capture your soul with my fingertip. You need not to worry girl these stills will not be blurry resting their backs on my wall.
We'd all get lost in the completely amorous shades of embarrassment. With luck, the light through my apeture will truly capture the unerring fragrance of you.
Oh, oh my love this is not a phase. I am infinitely lost in you.
I will never mention a word of my obsession and my name will never dangle from your lips, but if god had any pity he would have surely let me have much more than this unequivocal sip.
We'd all get lost in the completely amorous shades of embarrassment. With luck, the light through my apeture will truly capture the unerring fragrance of you.
My love can you see how our roads are intertwined? (I can't see it, I can't see how our roads are intertwined.) [Oh my love, this is not a phase!]
Get Down and Other Metaphors:
It's hard to get down with pictures of Christ on your wall, but I am trying to. (Him-I want it.) [Her-I want it too!]
Did you ever mention when your folks were coming home?
I have been watering my intentions, now they're growing in my head. While I fight for your attention, or at least a worthy glance. I've been fumbling with my hands to hear you make that confirming sound.
It's hard to get down with pictures of Christ on your wall, but I am trying to. (Him-I want it.) [Her-I want it too!]
It's a sad story without a fairy tale end. It's a bad memory of a night when I became a man... and you became a mother.
Why does he look at us that way? He's just a name on a page and a face in a frame. I'm so glad we didn't let this night go to waste. Now we're laying on the sofa undressed and out of place.
It's hard to get down with pictures of Christ on your wall, but I am trying to. (Him-I want it.) [Her-I want it too!]
Why does he look at us that way? He's just a name on a page and a face in a frame.

Current mood: anxious
Thank you all for your patience during this unexpected, and unnecessarily long break. We come out on the other side of the tunnel, however, more enthused then ever! We have had some small line up changes. Fortunately, it was all on mutual terms and we are all in good spirits. Stay tuned! We will have two songs posted by the end of next month which have only been heard if you have seen us live. We will also begin writing for our first album shortly afterward if everything goes to plan!
