I have been writing and playing music for as long as I can remember and, to be honest, I can't imagine doing anything else. To me, now, songs have colours and they seem to breathe. Never play a song the same way twice. That's what Cory says and I have to admit that i like doing it that way. Just one different note can set it free. My favorite songwriters? Prine, Dylan, Springsteen, Guthrie, Waits, Lennon(solo), Cohen. They always performed their songs differently. Thats when the songs lived. Locally...Cory Branan, Jed Zimmerman, Brad Postlethwaite, Brad Bailey, and Jimmy Davis are my favorites. The Harmony Brothers are creeping up into my top five, slowly but surely. Just listen to any of them and you will see.
