I have to say that The Killers are my favorite band of the last few years, all their tracks are great!
The latest disc,SAWDUST,includes the track,TRANQUILIZE featuring Uncle Lou Reed. I gotta say this is as good as anything either Lou or David has ever put out.
THE KILLERS ARE GREAT! The disc also includes a great cover of Mel Tillis' Ruby Don't Take Your Love to Town , made famous by Kenny Rogers and the First Edition and one off my wife's favorite tunes.
The disc is a collection of odds and sods , covers etc..... and also includes their version of ,believe or not, Dire Straits, Romeo and Juliet!

I had the pleasure of meeting their drummer, Ronnie Vannucci, at this years NAMM Show, not only is he a really great drummer, but also a really nice kid. Cheers Ronnie!
The other two discs,HOT FUSS and SAM'S TOWN are both outstanding. Dare I say I hear some familiar influences in their sound?

Do U get the idea? THE KILLERS ARE GREAT!!!! CB

There’s someone out there impersonating someone very close to me, so I’m not so keen on this My Space thing at the moment. I think I may drop off for awhile.
Thankx to everyone for all the great comments, it’s very inspiring but the fraud stuff has put me off this whole thing.
I would hope everyone will respect my privacy and report obvious imposter profile abuse to My Space.
Once again thankx to everyone for the friendship and comments.
Peace Out, CB

I’ve been down at SXSW with the Magic Christian pop group. We did 5 shows in 2 daze with some great bands including The Stems from Western Australia, everyone should check them out.
I’ll be heading back to LA soon and looking forward to seeing a few shows by the great Bruce Springsteen and the E St . Band in early April.
The Blondie tour is on. The first dates are on the east coast in early June!

I'm back from 10 daze in NYC. It looks like we, Blondie will be back on the road starting sometime in May.USA dates first with the UK and the Continent to follow.
I saw another great From the Jam show on Saturday. Our touring mate ,Hugh Cornwell opened and was also fantastic. I've decided that Hugh is the Charles Burkowski of RocknRoll.
It was good to run into Leigh Foxx and Debbie H. at the show.
But I have to tell U the highlight of my trip was seeing the opening nite preview on Broadway of Stew and Heide's play, Passing Strange.
I had the privilege of working with them on Stew's Naked Dutch Painter record.
Everyone needs to see this play. It officially opens Feb. 28th at the Balasco on West 44thSt., right next door to my old haunt,Un, Deux,Trois. It's Brillant!
Some Blondie fans may have seen Stew's band the Negro Problem open some West Coast shows for us a few years back, also fantastic. Everyone needs to know about the genius of Stew!
PEACE OUT,CB

It's a beautiful day here in LA. I just had a swim and feel great.
While most of the US freezes ,I'm in the pool. Lucky me!
I see Ms. Clinton and Mr. Obama are joining us today for a debate in sunny Hollywood. I'll look forward to that later in the day.
I'm off to see Ryan Adams at UCLA, guess I'll have to Tivo the debate. It's time for a change. Peace.
