Oct 09 update Jacinta's official website www.chunkymusic.comAutumn
has arrived in the USA and Happy Spring to our friends in Australia,
New Zealand and the lands downunder. The summer has flown by and
Chunky Music has been busy. Settle in for a few minutes as we get you
up to speed :) With the help of long time friend and producer
Don Fox, Jacinta's Stage Show "DREAM!" made it's debut performance in
the USA. A life long dream with months of planning, this lavish
production is now set to take on the performing arts centers &
theaters across the country. The original cast was 35 strong, with a 12
piece orchestra, The Electric Moonlight Orchestra, backing vocalists
and contemporary, ballet, belly, tap and LED-stick dancers. For
a glimpse of what went on with pics and credits to all the wonderful
people involved, we have set up two websites on Facebook ( www.facebook.com/Jacinta.DREAM) & MySpace ( www.myspace.com/jacintadream) and also featured some pics in the gallery section at www.chunkymusic.com. Big Thanks to Reed Carlson for taking awesome photos. After
the US success of Day In Time with Wild Jaam and I See Fire with
Cybersutra, Jacinta now has two new songs about to hit the European
airwaves thanks to Five Star Records. Javah f/Jacinta is signed to
Spinnin Records and will be released in October. AurA f/Jacinta is
signed to Redux Records and will be released in November. Jacinta
has also finished vocals for Olivia Newton John's classic "Magic". Look
for it on CAPP Records in early 2010. New songs with Wild Jaam and
Cybersutra will also keep Jacinta busy in the studio as well as a new
collaboration with Mister Groove in Portugal with their song Better
Way. Also keep a look out for the Christmas release "Peace Be With
You", soon to be released on Bill Friar's new label. The new
nine track Adult Contemporary album from Jacinta in her "dark hours"
style is pressed and ready with a tentative release date set for Nov 1.
The album features a special mix/arrangement of Electric Universe by
new upcoming Chunky Music Producer DJ Dennis InTha Mix. We're very
excited about this new release, so stay tuned for more info as the
release date gets closer. Chunky Music is also pleased to
announce the signing of Producer/DJ Chris Allen aka DJ C.A. and his
first release under the Chunky Music banner F.Y.A.U...Do You Hear Me?
The remix package is nearing completion, so look for a release date
soon. Tuesdays nights have been busy with Jacinta co-hosting the
Psychic Norbert Show live on the A1R Network. Topical discussions, Free
Psychic readings and songs from Jacinta's 'dark hours' collection have
made the show so popular it is now three nights a week. Tuesdays,
Wednesdays & Thursdays @ 11pm est. You can hear it worldwide live
on the net - www.ask1radio.com.
Chunky Music has also released the first of two Meditation albums
featuring Psychic Norbert & Jacinta, with "Past Life Meditation"
now available on iTunes, Amazon and CDBaby. The 'music' link on the website at http://www.chunkymusic.com
is now updated so that you can review and purchase all of Jacinta's
music in the Chunky Music catalog. The Galleries have been updated too

DREAM! debut review by Jerry MacLeod Jacinta decided to do her FIRST Dream Debut nearby AND it was a spectacular success as it provoked all from charming children to the greatest of Grandmothers and Grandfathers! The show incorporated Local talented people from beautiful voices to dance teams and ballet to hula girls to a laser blue revolving spinning motioned aerial artist! Jacinta and company were like always the glowing energy force of smiles while always reaching out to bring the multitudes within as each lyrical healing gifted song touched the onlooking hearts to perceive a life better than it currently is with hope and acceptance thereof! Another brilliant display of 14allNall41 as one by one we can change this world to a much more beautiful place we always DREAMED of. That attemmpt and mission NOW completed for those who attended. May that DREAM appear before your eyes as well! So be it as I say LET IT BE!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Chunky Music is proud to announce Jacinta’s PEACE PRIDE PASSION Tour! First Stop: The Pacific North West! In June, Jacinta will be packing for her biggest USA tour to date and embarking on her PEACE PRIDE PASSION Tour. In the spirit of PRIDE, Jacinta will be performing at PRIDE Festivals across the nation with the first leg of the tour taking her NorthWest where she will be headlining at PORTLAND PRIDE (6/14/09) and SEATTLE’s OUT AND PROUD FESTIVAL(6/27/09)."DJ Chris Allen of Texas Shout Magazine said that Jacinta “could very well be Australia's finest export to date” and with five Billboard ‘Hot Dance Club Play’ charting hits since 2005, a nomination in 2008 for Best Breakthrough Artist (solo) at the International Dance Music Awards and being signed to Five Star Records for the Benelux region (Europe), Jacinta is certainly living up to the praise. 2009 is shaping to be another huge year, recently featuring on Cybersutra’s ”I See Fire” plus more collaborations to come with Rene Ablaze, FIO and Dj Guy LeJeune from Holland, Mister Groove from Portugal as well as releasing the single “Day in Time” as part of hot new duo WILD JAMM with Sister Sledge’s Amber Dirks." Seattle dance music lovers have embraced Jacinta’s releases, DESTINATION, CAN’T KEEP IT A SECRET and ELECTRIC UNIVERSE and most recently her collaboration with Cybersutra, I SEE FIRE. This will be the third year Jacinta has kicked off her summer touring schedule in the Pacific Northwest, but Jacinta first performed in Seattle in 2005 at the Go Girls Music Festival and has been building her audience in one of her favorite parts of the world ever since. “I’ve never been so excited about touring before. I’m so looking forward to performing the show that I’ve been working on and I love Seattle. It’s fantastic to be returning”. Jacinta will take her PEACE PRIDE & PASSION to the stage at THE LAST SUPPER CLUB ( 6/27/09), headlining SEATTLE’s OUT AND PROUD FESTIVAL (6/28/09) and THE CHAPEL (6/28/09). The alarm went off Saturday morning at 5:30, its still dark as we pack the
van and hit the road...first stop...Starbucks. The Highway that will take us to
the Hill Country, would be deserted except for all the cars in sight have bikes
attached! Some as many as 4 & 5. We must have all been excited, ‘cause
everyone was doing at least 80 mile/hour.
We arrive at Krause Springs, a
gorgeous location with waterfalls, natural springs and the biggest wind chime
I've ever seen hanging within a lush butterfly garden. Breakfast is on,
campsites are emerging, organizers are checking in riders, tire pressures are
getting checked, pics are being taken, teams are gathering and then at 8:30 we
assemble at the starting line to the beat of a collection of disco hits
including one of my personal favorites ... Age of Aquarius! I don my helmet with
pride as it features the names of each of my sponsors and they will ride with
me. We are all happy to be here....finally. More than 200 volunteers are in
place and 613 riders commence their Hill Country Ride with plenty of cheer,
bicycle horns honking, bells ringing and lots of happy faces clapping, yelling
and waving on the sidelines. To feel so special riding a bicycle. What a trip
... well it was about to begin.
I'm not sure why, but I was surprised by
how many hills there were, lots of rolling hills and one that they call Mt
Everest that challenges each rider to stay on their bike all the way to the top.
I made it YEEEEHHHH amidst encouraging chorus of 'you can do its'. Whether you
walk or rode to the top of the steep ascent, you had arrived and each and every
rider was greeted with a cold, wet bandana that a volunteer tied round your neck
and how good did that feel...and then another approached you with a selection of
flavored ice blocks. I thought I picked lemon, but it was banana flavored. That
reminds me, I now have a new found food fetish ... banana with peanut butter
smeared over the top. This was on offer at each pit stop. Delish! We had a
headwind most of the way that got quite blustery at times, but there were three
pit stops each with their own theme, music and characters, where we 'carbed up',
replenished our drink flasks and recharged ourselves. 5 and half hours later we
were riding the last exhilarating couple of miles which were downhill and so we
all went very fast! At the finish line every rider was greeted with a medal and
a hug from David Smith (the man who envisioned the ride 10 years ago)
A
hot shower or a swim in the springs or both. Wonderfully refreshing. At 5pm,
everyone convened by the water where a heart felt ceremony took place where we
remembered those we have lost to AIDS. Grammy artist Craig Hella Johnson sang a
most beautiful song with the lyric, I know you by heart. There wasn't a dry eye
in the house and I think at that moment we all felt the most connected. It was
powerful. It was then time for dinner where we reflected on the preparation and
the ride and celebrated the successes. David Smith told us how he had been
encouraged by other ride directors in the country to lower the overall goal of
$650, 000 in light of the current economy. But David explained that he couldn't
lower the goal when the need out there is so great. The morning of the ride we
had raised 84%, disappointing, but understandable and we weren't going to let
that dampen our spirits. So when he told us at the dinner that we had in fact
reached the goal and surpassed it, most of us were totally surprised and so so
thrilled to hear the news. At time of writing, we have raised $670,200 and the
team I rode for, Full On! Full On! were the team that raised the most money
reaching our goal of $50,000....awesome!
That night, we shared some
wine, laughter and sang some songs around our campsite village. It sprinkled
rain lightly on and off throughout the night and I slept out there in it, under
the stars and the clouds, with a great sense of appreciation. Thank You to my
fellow team mates for having me ride alongside you and to our team captain, Tim
Young who made me feel so welcome and appreciated. A big thank you to my
beautiful buddy Colin "Barnsey" Barnes who not only planted the seed to ride
this year but who has shared the journey from the moment we registered. He also
worked on my bike, getting her into shape as did my Papa in Australia who got my
bike happening before I bought her back to ATX.
And finally, I am so
sincerely thankful to the wonderful people who sponsored my ride and those that
sent their prayers and well wishes. My original goal was the required $500 but
soon raised it to $1000 after receiving some fabulous support. When it seemed
this goal was much tougher to raise, Barnsey and I put the word out big time and
in the following 24 hours, raised a further $800. I was so amazed and
overwhelmed too at the support received from family and friends in Australia.
It's beautiful to feel this love flow from my home. Contributions also came in
from London, Sweden and Holland. You have all made a tremendous difference to
the lives of many living with HIV and AIDS and I appreciate you and love you so
much for your kindness. Let’s do it again!
PL&L Jacinta :)

10 Days to go to the Hill Country Ride ... Last week I went to a compulsory meeting for first time riders (which I am) for the Hill Country Ride. The Hill Country Ride is a big bike ride that takes place in the Texas Hill Country (April 25) to raise a massive amount of money for folks living with HIV and AIDS. The money is used for food, medications and other life essentials. The ride Director David Smith hosted the meeting and he had such a beautiful, kind and super positive energy about him. It's no wonder the ride has been successfully running annually for a decade now. David's words really struck me when he said that thousands of people depend on what we do in the following two weeks in seeking donations. My personal goal is $1000 and to date I've raised $695. So peeps, I'm reaching out... Even donating $1 would be awesome and helpful ... I only need 305 of my myspace friends to do that and I'd be there! Please think about it ... the power to help others is truly in our hands ... so help if you can ... if feels sooooooooo good and I promise .... you will make a difference .... AND karma comes round 7 fold... so think of it ... as an investment ;) Investing in humanity is the best kind! Your tax deductable donation can quickly and simply be made at the following link ...http://www.hillcountryride.org/site/TR/HillCountryRideforAIDS/General?px=1254741&pg=personal&fr_id=1080All donors will also receive a free gift from my record label Chunky Music.
