My old number got eaten by the bowels of AT&T's "fuck you" department, so I decided to fuck them & go with another service provider, and, my number got fucked in the process. So, the old one is no good, if you need the new one, just send me a message. Or you can use the one on my website: http://www.rocksolomon.com/contact.htmlIn other news.... ...well, there isn't really any. -Dr.Rock

I'm not much of a morning person, so this should be interesting... I just hope that I don't stumble in, blacked out from the night before, slobbering all over myself and cursing about ex girlfriends while I fumble around looking for something to light my clove with. And I hope I don't then throw up on stage in the middle of a song while trying to hit an off-pitch high note just before slipping on the puke and falling into the web-surfing-coffee-hyped-morning-person audience who will hopefully mistake it for modern "performance art" ...
...
...na... I doubt that would happen again.

What happens when you take Alternative Rock & Vintage Jazz, and cram them into the same song? You get Alt-Jazz-Pop music. Or at least, that's what I'm calling it for now. Folsom Coffee & the Dr. Rock Solomon Entertainment Productions Incorporated Music Project, or DRSEPIM as I like to call it, have teamed up to bring you, (yes you) (and you too...) an evening of music, coffee, people, good vibes and maybe some scones, to kick off the first day of August, this August 1st. The Rock Solomon Project features 'The Rob, (AKA batman)' on Drums, and Dr. Rock on guitar/voice. A famous guest bass player might show up, but we can't say yet... See you there.... yes? More info on the website here: www.RockSolomon.com

Today I'm driving out to Purdy, WA to bring a bong full of ashes to the father of my brother, Isaiah "Izzy Truelove" Sweeny. I'm not sure who all will be there, at this 4th and final memorial for him, but I know that most of us hadn't seen him in person for anywhere from months to years. A decade or more in some cases. The kid was a bit of a phantom. His sudden death at 22, the youngest of the brothers, has sent a shockwave that has reached even the most distant parts of this fragmented family of mine. In his death, I realize how his brilliance really worked.
He knew what was NOT important in life. And as I sit here writing this, I realize that's just about everything...

What do you do when you have all your ex-girlfriends passwords online? What about when you are sick of stalking her and reading all her emails? How do you tell her to change them? I decided to write a song, with all her passwords in the lyrics, hoping she would catch on, and change them herself. I'll let you know if it works. As of this writing, it hasn't yet.

THE PLAYERS:I was lucky to have a great violinist, (Brady Thomas) and a great Flute/Sax player (Julee Avallone) to join me at Sippin for the recording. Dan Simpson came in from Private Ear Studio and recorded the whole thing live. ...knows that I have been working on the same Recording Project for about 4 years. They would probably also know that I have had a couple "pre-release" partys for the CD that I gave out early versions... they may also know that I am out of my mind.
Well, the problem with working on a CD for 4 years, other than the obvious, is that you end up writing more songs between then and now, and they aren't even going to be on it. So, this has happened two fold. Since I started working on my CD project, I have actually written and entirely new CD, and I'm halfway through writing the one after that. so, havn't not finished the first one yet, you can ssee how I'm feeling a little backlogged.
The self induced pressure was starting to get to me a little, so I decided to get the second CD out of the way to free up my mind, but quickly as to not suck up all my time on another 4 year long project. So, I said, "hey, I'll do a live recording and wing it with some friends" and so that's what I did, and now, a month later, I have a recorded, mixed, and soon to be back from the printers live version of most of the songs I've have written since I started the endeless CD of 4 years ago.
And, I'm donating it to curious listeners. I hope you like drama and sadness. If you do, this is your ticket.
For a free copy of the live CD, send me your address. Email, or Physical, depending on how you want it.
Much love, thanks for taking the time to listen to depressing ass music. I think I may have cornered the market... "a Major chord? what's that?"
