So says both the critics from and the readers of Creative Loafing.

Thanks to Creative Loafing and everyone who voted for WRAS!

"Sure, you can justify the wild popularity of Georgia State University's WRAS-FM (88.5) because of its long-running and refreshingly unique programming. Oldies but goodies include soundtrack symposium "Nitrate 88" on Saturday afternoons, drum-and-bass show "Subterranean" on Friday nights, and the head-nodding Saturday-evening block of soul and hip-hop shows "Soul Kitchen," "Urban Flava" and "The Bomb." But when you add niche shows such as "Nippon Music Champ" (all things Japanese, Sunday evenings), and the girls-only "Mighty Aphrodite" (Thursday nights), then mix it with the station's groundbreaking regular rotation, the quality is amplified. To top things off, WRAS devotes a fair chunk of its time and resources to Atlanta's up-and-coming and well-established bands. Check out the station's website for videos of live, in-studio performances – and be sure to listen for the student-produced show promos, which are nearly as entertaining as the music itself."

Bobby the Bobcat here for WRAS Atlanta

Oh mother nature! Cruel harpie vixen of night and day, spring and fall, Summer and Winter!  Rain your fury upon us again...  Please!
But the show went on!

Seriously, we almost cut the show as Mother Nature released Her fury. We decided to go on a minute before showtime. Without hesitation, Jared Swilley started tying the tarp that was draped over all the equipment to the light posts as a roof for the stage.

The roof blew and rocked with the Black Lips as pizza flew and tables crowd surfed.

The show was pulled off by the skin of our teeth. The film and Audio are in editing as we speak.

The show was another hit from the world’s greatest media conglomerate: WRAS Atlanta Album88 and the DAEL (Digital Arts and Entertainment Laboratory) at GSU. Go to http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=entertainmentresearc to see some past shows on the soundstage. up already is The Selmanaires, Busdriver and more.
