Enjoy!

Alright gang,

That time is almost here. That time to shake it loose together at Santos Party House this Thursday, Dec. 3rd, to celebrate the release of our latest album, "The Shake Go Crazy." We've worked our asses off on this one since June and we really want and need all of your love and support to make this the best concert we could possible make it. Tell a friend, tell your mom, tell your hot cousin and let's tear the roof off the mother!

The show is going to be awesome from beginning to end. Milo & The Fuzz are opening the show at 8pm (they rock!), followed by Reckless Sons at 9pm (who are so choice), then us (you know what we think of ourselves), then Black Taxi at 11pm (these guys are so, so good). DJ Dave Edwards will keep the party going to sunrise.

We are also very excited to announce that the official music video for the album's first single, "Got No Soul," is complete and available for everybody to watch. It's directed by genius director Anders Urmacher at The NY Frequency. We dare you all to not drool on yourselves as you watch this thing of beauty. You can find it at our revamped website (wearetheshake.com) or simply by entering the link right here: http://vimeo.com/7906210

SEE YOU ALL THURSDAY AT SANTOS!

So you got no soul
But you got mine
You said it once
And then a dozen times
Yeah you got mine

What you begging for
No, I can't find
Stolen from these
Sullen tear-glazed eyes
I've been so blind

You said you want some space
So I've been hiding for days

You said you want some shade
So I eclipsed the sun today

She's got me speaking tongues now
I waste into the night
She's sneaking on the lowdown
I kiss myself goodbye

And in the lives that we live
It is a sin to forgive
And all the lies that you said
Reveal the truth that you meant
And in my life that I lead
You're not the truth I believe
I don’t believe

Hey Everybody,

This year we've been selected to perform at New York City's prestigious CMJ Festival, featuring the best in local music.  We'll be playing alongside our fellow CitizenMusic brethren The Walnuts at 5pm on Thursday October 22nd at Rockwood Music Hall (196 Allen St).

We know it's an odd set time, but skip school or leave work early to catch this FREE SHOW!
We'll be playing songs from our new LP, and giving out a limited number of CDs with some of the tracks, fresh from the mixing studio.

Also, we'll be filming a music video for our lead single, "Got No Soul," in the coming weeks - look for it to become the next viral sensation.

See you on the 22nd,

Jon, Eliad, Jeremy, and Vish

Hi Everybody,

These days, with summer winding down, and some of you going back to class, it's nice to know that there is still one constant in your lives worth being excited about: The Shake.

Since we last played, we've recorded and mixed our forthcoming yet-to-be-named EP, and we're very excited to play these new songs for you and hear your feedback.  So, we booked a show at a cozy East Village venue called Lit Lounge (www.litloungenyc.com) for Wednesday, September 9th.

We'll be playing with fellow CitizenMusic band The Walnuts, and it should be a grand ole time.

But wait, there's more!  We're printing snazzy-looking fliers for this show, and if you happen to get your hands on one - you and ALL your friends will get in for FREE! Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.

We'll see you there.

We're well underway recording our new EP (whose title we shan't yet reveal) with producers Josh Kessler and Gregory Lattimer.  So far its sounding amazing - our best work yet for sure.  Can't wait to share some tracks with you soon.

Much love.

Till next time,

The Shake

Hey Everyone,

In case you were wondering where we've been, we've been busy for the past couple of months working on new material for a brand new EP that will be recorded in July and August. But all that changes on Wednesday, July 8th, when we emerge from our self-imposed public exile, armed with better songs than ever to play for you.  We're very excited to debut these new tracks and we look forward to your reactions.

Here's what you need to know:
Where: Pianos NYC (158 Ludlow St)
When: July 8th, 9PM

As a special treat for all of you, we decided to bring a camera into one of our rehearsal sessions so that you could get a glimpse at the magic behind the scenes. Take a look...

Yikes, we hope our show goes better than that. See you there!
