I moved to Orlando. It's been pretty awesome so far. However, I haven't met anyone in the area to help me play these songs (and more new ones on the way). They all relate to Jesus, and since most musicians that I know and love aren't down with that, I have a bit of a problem. If you are down with that, for real, and if you live here, and if you can hit drums good and hard (we used to sort of be a rock band if anyone remembers) or can shred some other instrument or can make cool noises come out of a computer, then I'd like to talk more with you. I'm also up for starting something totally new. I like to hit drums hard, although that doesn't exactly come across loudly enough on some recordings.

hey friends, i'm going to europe for a while, so i probably won't check this for a few weeks. so it'll probably take only slightly longer than usual for me to respond to comments and messages. in unrelated news, tim did an interview with me for mutiny zine a while ago. we talked about stuff other than my music for the most part, which was cool. hopefully i didn't say anything stupid. check it! http://www.mutinyzine.com/interview76frame.html ok i love you, see you soon. jason

my friend david posted some videos from a show back in january on youtube, so give it a search if you are interested. some people have asked me about recording a newer song called "i ain't afraid of no ghosts," but until that actually gets done, you can see/hear it on there. it should still be on a split 7" with john ross someday. thanks for reading!

Current mood: thankful
Thank you to everyone who came to our show at the Social. There were about 250 people there, which is pretty much unheard of for a few bands that aren't supposed to draw in Orlando. We collectively spent a lot of time praying before the show, and as you could see, God was faithful to us. Thank you for sharing that evening with us.

I'm playing at two church services in Melbourne on the morning of Sunday, December 10th. I'll play some normal church songs at the beginning, but then instead of a pastor speaking, I'm going to play some of my songs and talk about why I wrote them and what they have to do with everything. I don't really ever do this (at least not in detail) at shows because I know many of you do not want to hear it, and because of that, the meaning may be lost somewhere along the way. But if you are interested in hearing this, you are welcome to come, no matter who you are or what you believe. The services will be at 8:30 am and 10:30 am at Melbourne Community Church (the venue occasionally known as Organic). Dress is always casual here. It actually says so on the door. Hopefully for anyone who thinks church is creepy, this will be a little more comfortable. I don't think it will be a problem, but it might be easier to get a seat at the earlier service. Not so easy to get out of bed though. If you have any questions, feel free to message me, and I'll try harder to write back than I normally do. Correspondence is not my forte, unfortunately. Thanks!
Sunday, December 10th Melbourne Community Church 4940 Stack Blvd. Melbourne, FL 32901 (in the marion music shopping plaza behind atlanta bread off palm bay rd.) 8:30 and 10:30 AM

so i don't play much music these days. but that's ok i think. maybe next semester. anyway, soorya wrote a nice review of the album. i am trying to play in kitty party with dave. but i still don't play much music these days. graduate school is a huge drag sometimes. it just occured to me that this is taking a negative tone, but everything's really awesome in general. i don't know where this is going. i saw that checker's rap cat commercial. liked it. i saw science of the sleep last night. liked it. a lot. i'm playing a solo show on friday with clock hands strangle at organic. it will be nice to see some friends. i actually have been working on a new song, so maybe it'll be finished by then. not sure when i'll play with the band again. not sure when i'll consistently type in complete sentences again. bye!
