Just a quickie, Die So Fluid and My Ruin were awesome!!!
Can't believe M didn't come, given i bought the tickets for him in the first place, but i guess that's what hideous stress and early morning meetings does for you. Hunny, get a new job!!!
Anyway, if you haven't got tickets for the My Ruin tour yet shame on you, go and get them!

Current mood: sick
Ok first gig of the year was 80's matchbox b line disaster. Technically it was last year, but it was after christmas and feels like this year, so it counts. Right up front in a tiny venue, that was only half full, but an excellent gig!!
This sunday, my ruin at the Charlotte, should be excellent, i have never seen them live before, but Mark has a few times and loves them, or loves Ms B anyway.
Coming up I have tickets for Elliot Minor, slightly embarrisingly a 14+ show on a sunday afternoon, still it leaves plenty of time for beer after the gig, Pigeon Detectives in May which should be good fun and All Angels at Cov Cathedral in April, weird, but interesting and they do sing beautifully.
Waiting with baited breath for tickets to Ginger and Biffy Clyro. Went to about two gigs and Glastonbudget last year, much more interested in going out this year so far, of course, i get married at the end of this year so we are short on leave and unlikely to make even Budget, so gigs are the order of the day.
Happy New Year all.

Work have now succeeded me from even viewing my normal blg, I can now access email and amazon and the book club site and that's it, everything else comes up as "social networking". Grrrrr.
In other news, our builder should finish the bathroom at the weekend. You know when you've been camping/festivalling and you get home after four or five days to a real toilet and a nice long bath, I am really looking forward to that feeling on monday.
Next doors dog is annoying the piss out of everyone with it's yapping, stil debatingt he ethics of doping the damn thing, perhaps some special cookie mix just to chill it out?
Jolanda is over from holland on friday so i am bunking off work for a few hours to have coffee and trade pofertjes mix and shwoarma (sp?) herbs for Lonely Werewolf Girl by Marting Millar.
I googled my name today, I was bored. A year ago there were about 3 entries, now there are loads!!! It amused me, the other day said to someone, "oh just google hageltoast you'll find me". Heehee.
Watched the Bourne Ultimatum at the weekend and it was bloody awesome!!!
ok, that's it, everyone officially updated, that's your lot for a while.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thought i'd share. Since Glastonbudget I have passed my driving test and am now wreaking havoc on the roads!! yay. I am presently studying for an exam (surveying and setting out) and have been pretty anti social. This year hasn't really been a great year for doing things with people. We have had a few people over and done beer and food here once or tice and went to Plummy's once and otherwise have pretty much painted, built flatpack furniture and skulked. Such is life. I am going to be 30 this year tho' so when we get to that point I shall post some drunken pics.
q69 - i realise it's not a gripping post filled with excitment but erm...

Right well, we bailed early, but even tho we only spent friday night and didn't see many tribute bands we managed to be caught on camera by the BBC (in the background as they interviewed hens) and i took about 250 pics. 92 photos made the cut and can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/hageltoast/sets/72157600272193040/
enjoy.
This year we trialled our pop up tent which was wonderful to erect, 3 seconds and you are onto pegging, unfortunately as the instructions are rubbish and mark wasn't well we didn't manage to disassemble it properly and shoved it into the car by force. It seems to have survived and once the pissing rain stops we shall head onto firebox for a demo and pack the thing away properly. Guns 2 Roses were excellent, about a zillion times better than Axl and the Kens (faceless and forgetable musicians) were at Roskilde last year. The Prodigy tribute were superb! Unfortunately saturday the first band pulle dout, the Ded Hot Chilli Peppers stopped halfway through the second track due to illness, but Oasish and Teen Spirit were pretty good and very enjoyable. After that we headed home so you will have to visit peaceandlove.org.uk soon for a full review by the gang.

Current mood: aggravated
I hate to do it, but i may have to kill next doors dog. They have a westie and the damn thing never stops fucking barking!!! Seriously, turn the Tv off and all i can hear is yappity fucking yap yap. They seem to think it's cute, i've commented but it has no effect on them. The lady the other side of me (who i share a wall with) at one point had six dogs, and i rarely hear them, but this stupid little pointless anklebiter never shuts up!!!! I feel murderous. Obv i won't do anything, i am more anti animal cruelty than I am anti the dog, but some days............
The most annoying thing is they have had the nerve to grumble to the lady the other side about the noise her dogs make (once in a very blue moon) in the past, then they get this stupid pointless thing and don't teach it about shutting the HELL up! some people should not be allowed to live.
