Hello all...
I have a couple of shows in the next week. First off, this weekend, Saturday 21st February I am playing with the Sedations, the Murderburgers, and the Rutherfords at the Shed in Leicester. I will be performing a split set...half acoustic, and then half with the Murderburgers backing me up. It should be great! I will be doing 3 shows in Scotland in March with the Murderburgers as well.
I also have a show next week (Wednesday 25th February) in Manchester opening for Chris Murray. If you are in the area, you should come out.
Peace, Flav

Kepi Ghoulie/Flav Giorgini – Spilt 7"
Squinty Joe Records – 2008

Ahh, what a brilliant release, 4 acoustic tracks, 2 from each of these punk legends. Starting with Kepi Ghoulie, who's famed as lead singer/bass player from the brilliant Groovie Ghoulies from California. The 2 songs on here are excellent, Wolf Girl and Back To The Garage are simple enough songs, but are incredibly catchy and as well as Kepi on vocals and acoustic guitar, there is a guy called Dan Janisch who adds home-made bass, vocals and box into the mix, lovely stuff. Flipping over, and this was the main reason for wanting this is Flav Giorgini from Squirtgun and now Sinister '66. I caught a solo set of his a few years back in Canterbury and was instantly won over by his shear brilliance and have been waiting since then to hear some new material by him. The first track, Run Away is shows how much talent this guy has, a really nice acoustic track but then loads of different layers come in and it builds to something quite brilliant. Flav also adds in some electric guitar and keyboard and has managed to get his brother Mass (Screeching Weasel/Squirtgun) to add some backing vocals and saxophone and the legend that is Dan Lumley (Screeching Weasel/Common Rider) to add some percussion. Fight To Breathe is the final song on here which again I loved, with Mass this time adding in bass and percussion, Matt Hart adding vocals and Pat McClimans adding in some real nice Dobro parts. I thoroughly enjoyed this release and will certainly be keeping an eye open for future releases by both guys and anything else that Squinty Joe Records will be releasing.

Very cool! See below...

Kepi ci propone invece le versioni acustiche di Wolf Girl e Back To The Garage, tratte dall'ultimo album dei Groovie Ghoulies prima dello scioglimento ("99 Lives").

Hi everyone...

Here's a bit of an update on my split with Mike Scott on Fond of Life Records. We had a great CD release show this past Friday in Leicester at the Shed. We were fortunate to have several great acts on the bill (Tommy's Heroes, Ted Splitter, Grace Petrie)that helped to make it an awesome evening.

The CD will be in shops and online stores (Amazon, HMV etc) by January 19th. Online outlets like itunes, napster or aol will have it by December 8th.

Flav

Hi everyone...

Sorry for the long gap...our new baby Emma Sofia has arrived, and I have been focusing on the family of late. :)

The split CD-EP with myself and Mike Scott is due anytime now, and we will be having a release show at the Shed in Leicester next Friday (28th November).  This will be an awesome show with special guests Grace Petrie, Ted Splitter, and Tommy's Heroes.

We just got our first review for the split, which is rather glowing, see below:

http://www.punktastic.com/reviews/3112

Also, I will be doing a few shows in Scotland in March with the Murderburgers, which will be a blast. I will be doing a solo set, and also a short electric set with the Murderburgers backing me up. It should be a hoot! I'll get that info up once I know all the dates.

Finally, the long-awaited Squirtgun live CD/LP is due anytime now on Kid Tested (Go-Kart Records). You can pre-order at the Kid Tested Site (http://www.kidtestedrecords.net/releases-store/squirtgun-broadcast/). We also have samples up from the release on our myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/squirtgun).

Take care of eachother...
Flav
