2.26.09 - 7:57 am (Sitting on cold cement block in parking lot)
I fuckin woke up at 6:25 this morning after going to bed early last night (exhausted) so I could be on set at ER by 8. But, the whole time it felt wrong. Literally every single time I don't want to get out of bed it turns out I didn't need to be up that early &… today was no different. My call time wasn't 8, which I was 15 mins early for, it was 9:30. Yeah. I'm really… REALLY trying not to scream right now. I cannot overstate how badly I needed that sleep. & the funny thing is I can't even say I'm upset. Just hurt.
Hell of a start to the day.

2.25.09 - 9:39 AM (On my way to get a new social security card having just left the food stamp office)
A very common question I encounter from myself when respresenting the sinical interests of my na-sayers as it relates to my scripts is: "Why would anybody want to read/see this?" It is a question oft asked by a woman I met on the train a few months back named Devra. So, as I embark on the journey of writing this blog I ask on behalf of the majority… why? What's of interest here? & I answer… I refuse to write to interests. Honesty is the root of all I have to offer & trust me, that gets interesting enough. :)
Here we go.
I am no 1 thing. But 1 thing you will need to know about me & claim to understand is I will not say what I'm "supposed to say", but rather what I know. You don't have to agree. Often probably won't. But, no amount of social or "karmical" pressure will cave this ambition.
Side note: Every single day I see beautiful women. 1 just passed me here on Vine St. checking off some sort of list. She has beautiful legs. I appreciate that. & her presence.
Anyway, my job title is "Entertainer". I am… a script writer, actor, comedian, model (~), music producer & song writer. I also own a small production company, Mystery Dinner Productions (DBA), which I will make my production & directing debuts for before summer hopefully. The stifling part in all of this is I don't have a lick of schooling in any of the formentioned fields of study, yet I still manage to be "talented"… (which honestly doesn't mean much).
In June of 2008 I began working as a background actor while homeless in my ew city of residence, Hollywood, CA. After a small time sleeping on Hollywood Blvd I took up residence at the Hollywood P.A.T.H. homeless shelter. Let's just say it's… funny being me, working in the biz & not having nearly any of what you need to succeed besides expectation.
I broke my process down into 6 month periods. The 1st 6 months were to be about positioning. Establishing myself as a proud 1 of the many in pursuit of the happiness found in transcending life & being a part of the art. I would get my headshot, sign up for background work, prove to be reliable, let my work ethic seperate me from the field & get the 3 vouchers needed to be union eligible. Only got 2 vouchers but, mission accomplished.
The 2nd 6 months was supposed to go: Get an agent (did that, commercial), position myself for either possible inclusion in pilot(s) during pilot season (mid-Jan through Feb or mid-March-ish) as a principle of as regular background, get my 1st line in a union production & have atleast 4 scripts finished (2, as of today). & though I may seem to be on track, I'm anything but. I lost 4 opportunites for my 3rd union voucher in the span on a week. Had it in my hands once… (we'll talk about all that later). These opportunities rarely arise & it's truly a shame I was unable to capitalize on a single 1 of them. Though, I don't have the $2,300.00 needed to join the union, there are many benifits to achieving "Union Eligible" status.
"What went wrong?" 2 things. 1, an ex-friend of mine from college was supposed to move down from Chicago & move in with me to decrease my financial responsibilities & ease the process of getting MDP off the ground. Let's just say that didn't happen. I found out she wasn't coming after she was already supposed to be here. & 2ndly, though pilot season is supposed to be the busiest time of the year & I'd counted on that, work has basically on hold since Dec. & will be until a new deal is worked out with SAG. So, I am rapidly falling behind schedule on account of the fact that homelessness & accute starvation were not in this part of the plan. Lost about 7-10 lbs since all this started.
& lastly i'd just like to say I haven't slept with a single woman who lives in L.A. since I got here… which is REALLY NOT HELPING THINGS. :(

I received my 2nd union voucher today on the 2nd day of a 2 day call for "Criminal Minds". I'm also a featured sales broker.
Anyway, it was prety straight forward. I showed up, & noticed that the top voucher was yellow & my 20/15 vision & instinctive attentiveness told me something was up with that voucher before I ever REALLY looked at it. The funny thing about it was in the MILLISECOND it was in my peripheral vision I thought I picked up on a "II" on the end of the last name. Now... how many people's last name puts them at the TOP of the stack, AND are the 2nd... HUH? How many???
1, that's how many. Me. It was mine. We all got them but that 1 was mine & I got mine 1st. ;)
Also, on an important side note my biggest buddy from that set, Alex Hiedeler, got 1 as well... but it was his 3rd. So, needless to say I was SUUUUPER excited for him & had no problem being the 1 to put the situation in perspective so he could completely enjoy the moment without needing to look over his shoulder for anyone who may have judged him as "too happy" or whatever other bullshit people project. It was a great moment for him... like an all day orgasm. Yeah... I know right.

Today I filed paperwork to officially own Mystery Dinner Productions, a film production company based out of Studio City, CA. Our 1st 2 films are in pre-production & the 1st should be done in late October. The 2nd film should follow shortly there after.
