Evening, All.

It's been nearly nine months since our last update here. That's the same amount of time it takes to make a human being. Here's what's new:

First off, the tour went fucking great! The further east we went, the nicer the weather and the people were. We lost a lot of blood, but gained a lot of beer. We all came out alive and ready as shit to finish our album and lay a plan for the next tour. Thanks to everyone who came to our shows, and all the great friends - new and old - along the way who put roofs over our heads, drinks in our hands, and couches under our urine streams. It was a god-damned, mother-fucking blast and we'll be out there again SOON to FINISH THE JOB.

Talk about new friends; our boy Chance met a few over at SPECTOR BASS and got himself endorsed! That's right. Fucker's bonafide! We're looking forward to some rigged-out bigness dropping hot sound on some unsuspecting folks in the coming months.

On to the album... to all you waiting: It's coming. This winter. We hope. Playing so many shows as we do, recording has proved an epic battle against time. But we are well stuck into the recording of our full-length debut: 12 tracks straight from hell. If you've been to our shows, you've heard 10 of 'em already. Try to comprehend what it'll sound like when it's LITERALLY IN YOUR EARS. Title TBA.

The release of our album will be accompanied by the launch of an official website, to be located at rowanmetal.com. Anything you'd want to know about us will eventually be located there.

It's time to book some final studio sessions. Meanwhile, we'll be playing all over as usual. Come out and get lit.

See your ass in the pit.

Hey myspaces! A lot of exciting things happening in the land of Rowan...

First off, I hope you've already noticed that our myspace page appears to be on fire. Not to worry! Everything is as it should be, as those flames are merely simulated and perfectly harmless. The reason for their presence, as you must have also noticed, is the launch of "Burn" as our first single, from an album that doesn't yet exist! Thanks to Little Room Studios for helping us make that happen.

However; speaking of albums, there are mysterious orbs shifting densely around a sophisticated system of rails, at the base of which there rests an ornate saucer and cup filled with milk. Assuming you're not lactose intolerant, you are the cup. We are the orbs. MOB Studios are the rails. Now, I'm not going to tell you what happens to that saucer and cup, because I don't know, because it has not yet happened. If I could see into the future, I'd be a millionaire and could pay people to write blog entries for me. I can definitely tell you that it won't be appraised. And I don't think anyone will have a chance to drink the milk. Shame.

But really now, we're all very excited to let you know that schedules have been written on calendars in the offices of MOB Studios, where we're set to record an entire album's worth of material! We're already busy preparing for drums next month, and will keep you abreast of future developments.

Additionally:
1. There are some new live tracks from a recent Studio Seven performance for you to enjoy.
2. The lyrics for our entire set have been made available for public viewing. Check 'em out!
3. New pictures from our show at Goofy's are up, in addition to a couple other random new'nes.
4. You watched those videos on the page yet? Get you a pull!

Coming soon will be some all-new, super-sexy merch (in mostly S and XL sizes because you people are apparently either very small or very large). Keep checking back for updates from the studio, and in general.

Dictated but not read

Alright, so it's been pretty quiet around these parts for a while, but I can assure you that we are still alive. Fully undead, at that.

It's been some turbulent times in the Rowan camp recently, starting with the departure of our longtime guitarist and friend, Quenton. The events leading up to his decision were something like a bloody Greek tragedy, but it seems that everything truly does work itself out in the end. We're gonna miss you, buddy, keep on rockin' for us. I wanna see your ass up on stage with pyrotechnics 'n' shit.

For a short period of time, the fate of the band was uncertain. But we pulled together with surprising speed, and we are now kickin' harder than before.

We would like to announce the joining of forces with Jason Emry, our new lead singer! Jason brings a great voice and lots of experience to the table, and is a badass graphic designer to boot. Welcome aboard, Jason!

We've been writing all-new material, and are fucking excited to take our new lineup on the road. Our first show is on September 5th at The Boiler Room (Port Townsend, WA) with partners in crime Gladiators Eat Fire. Come show your support, we could use it right about now.

We are in the beginning stages of recording an EP, which we will put out there as soon as we possibly can. In the meantime, look out for more shows on the way.

Thanks to all for your love and support while we get this thing off the ground!!! We'll be seeing you soon…
