A couple of weeks ago i made a trip to a strange exotic land called the northwest, with pine trees abound i knew i was gonna love it! I got to meet some amazing people, play with the best dog on the planet, and play some extremely fun parties while i was there!

Feeding the Frenzy (OKDAVE + FLAT BLACK) were my gracious hosts for the weekend, so a HUGE thanks to them for letting me hang for a couple of days in between the gigs. And to top it off got to catch bloc party and buraka som sistema + sega in seattle too!

I love Thompson's work and it is a tribute to him but is also very telling of how I see the music I used to tell the story on this CD. The third reference the title refers to is the state of this country and how every day we are tricked into thinking the decisions that are made by the people who lead us are in our best interest when they clearly are not.
