Current mood:  excited
We’re featured on the cover of the new edition of Stirrings magazine, covering folk, roots and acoustic music in South Yorks and beyond.   Here’s the stirrings website http://www.stirrings.org.uk/ ... but you’ll need to get hold of a copy of it to read the interview.

Now we have a lovely myspace, we have somewhere to post this testimonial from Pete from SYFolk, who organises the concerts at the Moon.

"It was an unusual evening at the Moon Inn Folk Night in Sheffield on January 16th 2008, unusual in that the Fates were the very first a cappella performers to appear at the Moon since its launch in November 2007. It was noticeable that there were quite a number of 'new' faces amongst the regular members of the audience. I did wonder how the Fates would be received, but I needn't have worried. From the very start, it was apparent that they had everyone's attention as they delivered a first half set that demonstrated the wonderful blend of voices that are the Fates. In the second set, the Fates really commanded the room with a range of material that ranged from their own arrangements of well known and not so well known songs to some great original pieces specially written by themselves for themselves. It was noticeable that people had even emerged from the other areas of the Moon Inn in order to listen. I can't recommend the Fates too highly. Pete Shaw, organiser of the Moon Folk Concerts."

As Tegi said, what a nice man!
