"First time out on the Swedish Brandy label Opolopo hits us with the "Madness EP". This EP gives us a nice blend of various of styles that will fit any club or dance floor. The title track "Madness" could be described as vocal soulful house with loads of energy and interesting instrumentation. We also get the alternative Reach for the Stars mix. This mix is slightly more broken and ends up in a straight 4/4. The flipside starts off with the funk-breakbeat monster "Unidentified Funky Object". Crisp, heavy drums and bass on this one, with strong influences from the sounds of Herbie Hancock etc. The second track, Lorber, continues in the same funky spirit but with a slight touch of the underground West London Sound."

I was interviewed on Conception Radio by queen A herself - Amalia. Even though we know each other pretty damn well through e-mail and through our music, we've actually never spoken before, so this is a historical moment. Btw, I said I started out playing in a "PUNK" band as a kid, though it sounds like I said funk. Funk is definitely NOT perfect when you want to "play as hard and fast as possible and you've got no skills". But PUNK might be...

Make sure to also check out the rest of the Conception site for some interviews with Dr. J and Kenji from Kyoto Jazz Massive among others. Also check the other excellent shows. A new show is streamed every Wednesday.

My first blog - whohoo...

Got tired of waiting for the mp3 upload to get sorted so I signed up at http://www.purevolume.com/opolopo

If nothing else, it looks nice. No need for those dreadful "pimped up" profiles this place is infested with.  Uploaded my latest track together with some older stuff.
