Hey guys,
In case you haven't noticed, we haven't exactly been touring much lately. As most of our close fans know, the Season was always the pet project of Kurtis Parks and Josh Kim. We had other members travelling with us on the road, but the heart of the Season was always Kurt and Josh. Right now the boys are taking some time apart from the band, after 3 years of continuous touring and recording. Kurt and Josh are both in Nashville, and still doing music, just apart from the Season for a bit.

Kurtis is doing a solo worship album with Grammy nominated producer Daniel Weatherspoon, and is leading worship on the road at camps, churches and conferences, while also leading worship in Nashville at Oasis Church and Life Church. Check him out at www.kurtisparks.com and here on Myspace.

Josh is also leading worship in Nashville, at Unity Baptist Church and is very involved with the youth program. Check him out on Myspace and Facebook.

The Season isn't dead, by any means, and we'll probably do some things in the near future, and we'll let all you guys know when that day comes! We love ya and always will!

Season fans,
Help us get to the main stage of Cornerstone this year by going to their website and placing a vote for us. You’ll have to take about 30 seconds to register, but won’t it make you feel good, knowing you helped 4 studly musicians play at one of the summer’s biggest music festivals? So help out if you can spare a few seconds.
Go to: http://www.cornerstonefestival.com/Newbandshowcase

Thanks and we love ya!

Thanks so much to everyone for their support and feedback, we are truly blessed to be a part of this.  A lot of people have been asking about our efforts to donate to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund.  This week, we will be recutting the song in Virginia Tech's music studio on campus working alongside other VT music department alumni.  It should be finished by the end of this week or early next, and will be available digitally here on our page.  100% of proceeds will go to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund, so please do your part to help!

much love,
the Season

Forever Changed (we're all Hokies Today)

Kurtis Parks. Josh Kim. 4.18.07

On just an ordinary day,

A weapon drawn, and lives forever changed

One act of violence made the world stop and watch

And on a drillfield by candlelight we prayed

And with questions on our minds, we wonder where the future lies

As we look up to heaven with hope in our eyes

Where do we go from here

Can we overcome this fear

And find a healing for the pain, and see the sun beyond the rain

We've got the strength to endure,

And soon we'll feel more secure

In a world filled with hate, we need to become something great

Oh God, send your mercy this way, for we're all Hokies today

Verse 2:

And to the ones who fell that day

In our hearts your love will never fade away

We're picking up the pieces to build a better tomorrow

We'll find a joy, to move on from the sorrow

By the color of the leaves, you know He has us on his mind

So we look up to heaven with hope in our eyes

Where do we go from here

Can we overcome this fear

And find a healing for the pain, and see the sun behind the rain

We've got the strength to endure,

And someday we'll feel more secure

In a world full of hate, we need to become something great

Oh God, send your mercy this way, cuz we're all Hokies today

The spirit lives on, don't let it be gone, let it shine forever

And through the heartbreak, for the lost and their sakes, let it bring us together
