AWAKEN:         Our lives. The passion we have inside defines who we are. In these times, revive your soul and your heart. In our eyes the fire grows. In the back of our minds were desensitized, unlearning to live our lives. It's the systems design to keep us in line. Awaken the passion inside. No one can see it, it's under the surface. The feeling that drives us all, the reason for life. It's the sign of the times, regression of life. Through knowledge we realize it's the systems design to control our minds. Thus, breeding this degeneration. Into our consciousness it begins to unfold. Suppressed emotion building into pain. Release your spirit. Channel the anger to make a difference. Do you feel something rising up to erupt? It's on the inside of me. Ingrained apathy pushed to far, held down, and now loosing my sanity. Something is not right. We see it in our eyes. Living this false life, cause something ain't right. Don't loose yourself in this fight. Just be yourself. Live your life. A conformist system suppressing real feeling, real emotion. We're saying live your life, eyes open wide to be alive. This is our time, our life unlearning to close our minds. In disguise, your passion lies in learning who we are inside. Slave to society no more. The shackles and chains are gone. Real emotion the reason for life.


LORDS OF WAR:         Control the population. How precise they stock the flesh. Feeding our emotions sedate our consciousness. Entice us. Design us. Pawns for the minds that plot destruction in this New World Order. The pain-instilled fear drives this urgency. Steeped in this paranoia that justifies the wars, lives are lost. We are the sacrifice destroying human life. Lords of War for power and dominance. Feed the supremacy. Some stand in protest, others brave on the front lines. War is a symptom, the balance of order and corruption. Some of us watch in horror and disgust, while others' lust for blood draws them to watch it all burn. 



VOICES FORMING WEAPONS:   Your mind is the ammunition. Your voice is a weapon to chant down the propaganda. To uplift. To teach. Each word a spark, ignite the flame to up rise in our defiance. This is an unseen war of words. Each sound is designed to extricate free thought. Gather up the lost. Tear away from this mind state. Covert operations to maintain the facade of power and control, to keep a nation in fear. Revelation time is near, it starts with one voice. Political methods to misguide us, half truths revealed in time. Open your eyes to see that, we can unite in time... ...To up rise against the hate, against oppression. We shall overcome. Up rise. Use our voice to conquer. Our spirit can't be broken. Fight the real enemy, it's the system. Manipulation segregates us, creating conflict and distraction from the true cause. Behind the lies, truth in disguise. Wars of greed, money, and power. 



CHOIR OF ANGELS:   On that September morning, all that we see, a terrorist attack against our liberty. Mournful morning gripped in tears as the media exploits and feeds our fears. Dig deep. We see the contradictions, raising questions to this day unanswered. They designed the silence of our dissent, create an enemy for us to hate instead. Lies. Now, there’s no where to hide. The truth it will rise inside. The people will see the deception that covers our eyes. Is this the catalyst of our decline? Do we allow the memories of those who died to live unjustified? In their honor, let's break down this facade of lies. Now, where loosing our rights as they infiltrate our lives. A make-shift PATRIOT Act to dismantle the constitution. No more blind acceptance. No more excuses. No more human oppression. No more lies. Now, there are those of us who take offense to those who question this. But, I ask: "How can you stand by and swallow the cover-ups and lies that took thousands of lives?" It's your right, in fact it's your duty to question the authority. Fight for the truth. Fight for our rights. Fire in the sky. Almost 3000 died on that mournful September morning. All those who lied to cover up their plight betrayed us on September morning. Sung: The rubble burning. Ashes drift up to the skies. Changed all of our lives. To this day, shrouded in lies Spoken: As the ashes cleared, we saw the images of a city in ruins. Countless people displaced and broken. And where hope once stood was now fear and hysteria. Underneath all of the rubble, even after all these years, lies the pain of the truth, awaiting to be revealed. Concealed by these, I dub: Murderers. Betrayers. Count the cost of your lust for power. Liberty and justice means nothing at the cost of innocent blood. As we watch our brothers die, our sisters die, to this day covered in lies. In memory of those who died, lets tear down the lies. From the ashes, the truth will rise. 



WE THE PEOPLE:          All rise and be counted. As part of this protest, we wage revolution. Will the flames of humanity diminish and and fade? Or will the tides turn, igniting our passion and fuel our cause? We will no longer be the silent minority. Stand up and be counted. Think for yourself. You'll see the systems cracking. Rise up. We can move mountains. We the people have the the strength to change it. Do we stand in silence as they rob us blind, Strip our rights away? This is our time to rise above. Take the power back. Hold them accountable for their crimes. Together, we have the strength deep within. Information is our way to resist. Our time has come. We The People have the strength to change it. We can change. This is our time. We the people. Change will come. Take the power back. Think for yourself. See behind the propaganda. Deprogram your mind. Disinformation is keeping us blind. They underestimate us and the strength that we have. We are the work force, the back bone. Our numbers are great, and we can withstand. With stand against the tyranny, the control, the injustice. Even into our minds, the images enter through the media as they feed us subliminal, mind-control propaganda. They keep us complacent, unaware, scared. But in truth, they fear us. They fear our numbers. So, rise up. Take the power back. This is our time. Let them fear us, our numbers, our strength. Let them fear us. Fear a revolution. Damaged us deliberately. Caused us our complacency. They keep us down. Killing us in secrecy. Is this a democracy or just a front? Revolution starts with in you 



THESE COLORS BLEED:   It's ignorance that's breeding hatred, creating bigotry. Some don't know cause they can't see it, but it's reality. Is it the fear of someone who is different from ourselves? Or, is it the lack of knowledge that is destroying the chance to grow? We are connected. Your life is as precious as mine. Our flesh bleeds into one. We are the same color inside. Media sanctioned, we embrace it, feed into fallacies. Stereotypical behavior based on what we see. We need understanding, one love for all. If divided we will stand, then united we shall fall. Respect for all culture. The color of your flesh is beauty. Your roots strengthen our diversity. Judge not on the color of flesh. One blood. All colors now bleed into one. Passed down through generations, caused us wars and violence. Words of hypocrisy. Human atrocity. When no one stands in protest, where is the democracy? It's time to raise our voices in protect of this hateful, racist mindset in our society. Judge no one by the color of flesh. Let's fight against this ignorance. Fight. Let's fight this ignorance. 



OUR OWN:     Today is the day for redemption. Not alone. Hold your own. You'll find the strength. The struggle just to stay alive, to maintain in these times. We are the future. We must change. Change. Step one in the solution. Our voice. Speak truth to overcome. The enemy is ignorance. Silence is powerless. Fight. The struggle pushes forward. Awake. Aware. No escaping the real-life suffering, civil unrest. We have the strength inside us all. The smallest change can spark a revolution. Give us your poor, tired, huddled masses longing to be free, but hope collapses. Violence in the streets. People with nothing to eat. The struggle continues on. When we reawaken our senses, focus our eyes away from all of the distractions, all the devices used to keep our minds suppressed. When we reawaken our senses, we see a vision. When we reawaken our senses, a clear vision of true hope not found in any politicians words or antics, but a real hope that is within our spirit, the freedom of our minds. When we reawaken our senses, we see it all begins with a simple change in our perception. We must awaken our compassion, awareness, and our Love. If we find the strength inside, our hope will never die. 



THE KINGDOM:   In this world that we live in, so filled with blind indifference, we have a chance to change it. We have a chance to make it right. Is this the generation of selfish, contaminated love? We have a chance to change it. We have a chance to make it right. Where's the love? Where's the unity? This is my testimony: We are brothers and sisters, regardless of what you believe. We pave the way for our children and the rest of humanity. How can we in our consciousness advert minds from the suffering human life that's helpless, loveless, hopeless? it's fed by our apathy. Our life is wasted. So lost and complacent inside your mind, inside your life. Wage war upon the heartless with the strength of love. This is my testimony: Give back to those who've given to you. This is my testimony. I still believe in hope for our tomorrow. I still believe in the strength and the power of love. Your life is my life. It's our life. This is my testimony.

Hello all,
It has been some time since our last update, and we have had some major setbacks.  I'm glad to inform you that today we are disclosing some major information about our debut album:

The title of our album is "Awaken."  The album is set to be released November 17th, 2009! 

Pre-sale will be starting in this week.  They will be a vital part in helping us determine how many physical CD's to order, so if you know you are going to get it, preorder it!

It is an 8 song CD, containing all 5 the songs we have posted on our myspace re-recorded and reworked, and 3 new songs that have only been played live.  It also contains several ambient transition tracks that we wrote and recorded.  The album has entered the mixing stage for the first 5 tunes, while all of us concluding the tracking process within the next several weeks.  We had our good friend Matt Y (available for freelance work http://matty.ifequalto...com/portfolio and can be reached at myezuita@gmail.com) do all our album art. As the release date approaches we will be releasing the track listing, but we attached the album cover at the bottom of the page.  We will be doing a major myspace revamp soon, including the new album art, new organization, and eventually new tunes off the album.  

We are hoping ordering new merchandise (T-Shirts and things) to coincide with our debut album.  There will be a t-shirt/album package deal available, stay on the lookout over the next couple of months.  After the release date we will be looking to support our album with shows.  Funding the album ourselves has put us through much, but one of the major stresses has been financial.  We appreciate all the support we have received, and we hope it will continue with the new album.  We will be looking to book shows on weekends from November on.  We are playing Providence on October 23, and we have a New Jersey show and Utica, NY show booked for the weekend before our release.  We are hoping to book Providence and Boston for the weekend of November 20th and 21st.

We thank you all for your support and patience.  This album has been a struggle for us to record from the get go, but now that we see the finish line we are getting really excited.  Stay tuned for some new songs on myspace, and other various media.  Spread the word, the more friends we get via myspace and facebook the better!  Thank you for your support!

Also, we ask you all to take a moment out of your day to remember the victims and families affected on this day eight years ago.

Hey everyone,

So there has been a lot going on in our little world.  First and foremost is pertaining to our album being released in August.  This will not be happening.  One of the unfortunate things of recording this ourselves is not having enough time.  The earliest anticipated release date would be late September, but its more than likely going to be mid-late October.  That being said, we are in good shape.  Drums are complete (and have been for a while), Jake only has 3 more songs to track, Marcus is at the beginning stages of his tracking (he has been so busy dealing with other aspects of the album), Nick will be 2 or 3 songs shy of completion come this weekend, and Jesse has been able to blast through the first 5 songs in the short amount of time he is able to make it up to RI to record.

We are putting a lot of energy into this band in other areas also.  We are in the process of figuring out Album Art, new T-Shirts corresponding with the album, mixing, mastering and pressing dates, setting up promo shots and some videos, interviews, as well as trying to book shows and listening parties for the fall.  Also, along with this new album comes some new things to our live show, including back up vocals and samples, all of which we are still in the preliminary stages of figuring out.

We appreciate all the support that we have been receiving on a daily basis from everyone, and we apologize for the delay in the release date, but we hope you will see that it is worth the extra wait.  As always, we will try to keep you as up to date as possible with everything.  We promised lots of footage, and we haven't been able to deliver due to some major set-backs related to relocating studios for the remainder of recording.  As we determine everything, we will keep you in the loop.  By mid-August, anticipate the album's name and track listing, and perhaps a sneak peak of a song or 2.

We are very excited about this album, but it has been a lot of work, demanding physically, mentally, and fiscally.  We appreciate all the support we have been getting through T-shirt sales, but we are still in the red.  We are doing this album on our own dime, so please, if you want to support this album and us as artists visit the online store (http://www.anglesideside...ecrater.com/) and help fund our album!

As of last weekend  I am just about 1/2 way through the album. I am taking off this weekend to seclude myself & write. I have a few concepts in my head lyrically for the last two tracks. I just have to take myself out of the rat race for a few days to find the inspiration to complete them.
    
      I am really proud of this album so far. Jeff our new drummer has totally stepped up & given our song a whole new feel with his grooves & poly rhythms. The song writing has benn brought to a whole new level on the new tracks. I am confident all of you will be able to hear the various styles & inspiration behind our emerging sound. I have to give respects to Eric & Mike Slap (Aka Symmetry www.myspace.com/symmetryhiphop
working the board & keeping up with my crazy pace in the studio...Last weekend I had one of the most energetic sessions, I don't know what came over me. I did three full takes back to back of "These Colors Bleed" & it came out real intense, with a few fixes that track is going to be a good one. I am sure we will have more video updates soon as we are taking footage a various times through out our recording process. Thank you all for your support & continued interest in what we are doing! We hope to have this album wrapped up by Aug/Sep. if all goes smoothly. Once again we are funding this whole album on our own dime, so any support at all is very much appreciated! Hello all, we've been real busy lately, as you may know.  The drums are completed for our album, and we are working currently on recording guitars, bass, and vocals simultaneously.  Guitars is a slow process, so we are working extra hard to meet our deadline for everyone.  We are recording guitars with our own Marcus de Lisle, and we are doing vocals at our good friends, Mike (Symmetry) and Eric's studio in Providence.  We will also be doing bass with them.

We often get questions sent to us either by messages, emails, or comments.  We try our best to answer them in a timely manner, as accurately as we can be.  Sometimes in answering these questions, we go off on tangents.  Here is a tangent I wrote in response to someone's question about the Venus Project.  If you don't know what the Venus Project is, check it out.  There are a lot of interesting ideas.  I am not sure that it is the perfect social model, but it definitely raises some interesting points.  Check it out here:

Now, the question was basically what we think of the Venus Project, as far as it's adaptability.  Will society accept it, will it work?  Here is my response:


Something like the Venus project seems to me as an inevitability. We may not ever see it happen in our life time, but I think the course of life and technology will lead us there. However, I think that life is at least 100 years away, and in the mean time, I see either a revolution happening or a complete government take over. I think the world as we know it, politically speaking, is at an end of an era. This end may last another 10 years (who knows?). But, I don't see something like the Venus Project being accepted any time soon. I also see problems with it, as there are problems with any form of social structure. And that is a main problem. There is no way to satisfy an entire population, be it on a global level, or just a local level. There will always be resistance. Personally, I don't believe there is a "right way." There are plenty of wrong ways, however, and I think we are currently involved in a very wrong way, at the moment. There are a lot of changes we can be making in order to move in the "right" direction. Some people have started to do this. A big key to this (I think), is to make things more localized. Support your local community. Try to take power out of big business's hands and by from your locally-owned store. Try to buy food that was grown in your area. This is good for many reasons: 


1. you are supporting your fellow man, who probably lives not to far from you 


2. more than likely, your food will be fresher, healthier, tastier 


3. it keeps more money circulating in a local economy 


4. less shipping costs, more green, cutting down on fuel intake, that whole thing.


On top of those 4 reasons, I'm sure you can come up with your own reasoning. So, Venus Project? Possibly, at some point. More likely, and more immediately, build a strong local community. In worse case scenario, we will have to come together and help one another, and this is a great place to start. Hope that helps a little, -nick/tesf
