HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!

Glam Chops' first year in 'the business' has been a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us, downloaded our music, spread the word, shouted "Hey!" a lot. You made us like it.

We worked out that if our free download Christmas single had been a proper release we'd have been number 18 in the Christmas chart - and surely an appearance on Top Of The Pops guaranteed! - but we still maintain that this music should have been a gift to you, our fans. . . . . although we might charge you 79p for NEXT Christmas's Glam Chops single.  ;)

Glam Chops are now in the studio writing more HITS and will not resurface until April/May time when we will have an all new show.

We are not booking in any gigs except for festival bookings at the moment.

Eddie, meanwhile, can be seen with his 'other band' Art Brut, Mikey is still gigging as Mr Solo or fronting David Devant & His Spirit Wife, Stuffy plays in Graham Coxon's band, Tim can be found promoting the excellent Purr club in Bath (with the Panther Girls regularly dancing there) and Paul hosts the Rough Trade Shops Pop Quiz at the Lexington every Monday as well as playing in Dream Themes and running the Guided Missile club nights at the Buffalo Bar, London N1.

With the spiraling interglobal recession showing no signs of improvement, GLAM CHOPS (Glam Rock supergroup featuring Eddie Argos of Art Brut, The Vessel – singer of David Devant & His Spirit Wife) and their label Guided Missile, have made a joint decision to give their Christmas single away to their fans FOR FREE in a bid to get the nation smiling once again. 

"Glam Rock first time around happened during a recession and was all about feeling good and getting away from it all. There's definitely a Glam Rock revival on the cards and Great Britain needs it more than ever. The tracks are so good and we probably would have scored a minor hit with the single, but Glam Chops wanted to react to the current situation of everyone being too broke to afford anything but food and drink, and they begged me to release the single for free. We even went so far as to look into the possibility of going ahead with the 7" pressing and leaving handfuls of them in the shops, but in the end we stuck with the idea of having both tracks as a free download from Glam Chops' Myspace page. We swallowed the recording costs in the name of Glam and will be making the single "Countdown To Christmas" b/w "Baby Jesus Was The First Glam Rocker" free to all on the Glam Chops site at www.myspace.com/paranoiddogbark from 1st December." - Paul Kearney, Guided Missile Recordings.

We have just recorded what will surely be this year's surprise Christmas hit! Apart from Eddie, The Vessel and the other ten members of Glam Chops, there will be a childrens' choir, sleighbells and bagpipes on offer, for maximum Christmasity (if that's a word).
