pulling leaves off the branches

of a tree someone planted

decorating our hair and our ears and our feet and the people we meet will think funny funny things about our silly attire but we'll smile and smile because just for a while we are one of the trees, just part of the earth, simple and sweet

finding out who youR real friends are.

Listen child, let me tell you a story.  A short and pretty tale,

something about love.

You've heard it all before, but it still retains it's glory.

A song of peace, of hope and God,

the things we dream up.

I've sletpt next to an angel on a mountain top,

I prayed to God and the sunshine stopped.

My children grew up to be daughters of a prophet.

I sold my coat and hair  to see the future once.

After that long night, I still lost everything to fire, but I started up again right where I left off.

This is as wonderful as it will ever be.  Don't you forget it.

I just didn't want to make Jesus sad anymore.

Did he find peace?

Yes.  He did.

But I am very much a human being.

Sometimes it's like this:

Like love, or I LOVE, or something.

And it's pretty.

I am dry, uninspired, deceased. 

Fell in love with a violet daughter, dreamt about the salty water.

Took her sailing on the ocean, made her drink the tragic potion.

I think Andy Kauffman and I were married in another life.  No, I'm sure of it.
