Hi there.
So we have been tooling aound the mid west for a week now with our new bff Sybris. Tonight we play Seattle and begin our decent down the west coast to LA before striking out to the desert.
we really want to make these west coast shows good-especially Thursday night in Oakland...make sure to check out lobotgallery.com and come on out and snow some love...we have a new cd that we are selling (3songs) and I promise you will love Sybris...they are like Broken Social Scene meets Southern Bitch and boy does that drummer have some witty bits of advice for you :-)

So thats about it...Sybris is amazing live, we are even better than that so what do you have to lose?

Hope you are all well and see you soon

Hey,
So come Oct1st we of the ADA persuation will be hitting the road with our new pals Sybris. We are doing a tour of the mid-west to west to mid-west...you can check out the dates on the old home page and such...We are really excited about it...we will be bringing a "tour" ep on the road with us with our latest 3 songs on it for your purchasing pleasure...we will, of course, also have the old CD and our new 7inch...lots to buy, lots to buy.
We will keep you updated as things come along...

here is some Sybris propaganda for you to peruse...

You might hear echoes of prime, early 90s rock influences like My Bloody Valentine and Cat Power in Sybris music, but theres no mistaking this Chicago four-piece, fronted by singer Angela Mullenhour, for anything but a unique entity unto itself. Mullenhorns powerful vocals and the bands genuinely catchy songs part folk, part art rock hold their own amidst the impossibly thick, reverb-soaked layers of buzzing guitars and thunderous drums. Sybris released its self-titled debut in 2005, followed by this years Into the Trees.

hey kiddies, just thought i'd let you know that we're playing a show this saturday at 7:30 sharp and it's going to be broadcast all over the world thanks to the miracle that is the interweb. if you feel like tuning in check it out at
http://www.piratecatradio.com/listen.php
we're going to be playing four or five songs and chatting the good people of san francisco (and perhaps, the world) up so if you miss us (and i know you do) here's your chance to get one more taste before we hit the big time. the sounds going to be a bit stripped down, just three dudes with guitars and a piano but it should rock nonetheless. get on it!

So...it is with heavy hearts and nervous anticipation that we of the ADA persuation bid adieu to Charleston on Saturday. The 3 of us have called Charleston home for many many years and it is going to be really hard to say goodbye to everyone! The show at the Pour House will be an interesting mix of emotion I think. We are so excited to be moving to San Fran but at the same time very sad about leaving all of our beloved friends in Charleston.

That being said here are some details about Saturday nights show at the Pour House: The show is going to start at 10:00 sharp! Lindsay Holler and her Dirty Kids are going to kick things off. After Lindsay we will do a short Lasso set while Sea of Cortez gets ready to mesmerize...ADA should be on stage by 11:45 and we are playing our entire catalog (all 5 songs) so strap in...We both Lindsay Holler &DK, Lasso and Sea of Cortez are our great friends so we are happy to be sharing the stage with them all on this night. Some more of our friends have started a record label called Tick Tock and will be putting out a 7inch record of 2 of our songs on Saturday. This record will be a limited edition run of 300 and will only be available at this show. The record was recorded up at the Jam Room in Columbia and sounds great! Each record comes with a digital download of the songs so even if you don’t have a record played you can buy the record and still enjoy the music.

We will also be giving away a special gift to the first 25 people through the door so be sure to come out early!

We promise good times...

if you like genrevolta you should come to the Tin Roof in West Ashley on Friday night for our last show...it will also be quite good times I assure you.

So thats it. Come out Saturday, hang out with us. Say "goodbye for now" to us until tour brings us back this way...we love you and can’t wait to see you...

xoxo

Hello loves.
So...we put up 2 new songs. "The Return" and "King's Highway". These songs will be released on the general public at our show at the Pour House on March 15th. We are releasing them as a 7 inch record put out by local Charleston label Tick Tock records. The first pressing is only 300 copies and they will be on limited edition colored vinyl. Each 7 inch will also come with a digital download of the songs so even if you don't have a record player you can still get down with the smooth adult contemporary tunes of ADA.

more about these matters to come.

in other ada news if you check out inlandempiretouring.com you might notice our happy mugs there...we are so happy because these folks are going to take over booking for us and because these folks are mighty fine people-mighty fine indeed...so even though we leave charleston for the cold shores of San Fransisco we may just tour right back before anyone even notices we are gone.

be well people, be well.

xoxo

here are the pictures that Jon took on new years eve trip to Atl. We dragged him around for a good 24 hours of flatulence, drunken shenanigans, and bison meat and he still managed to get some amazing shots out of it...
check out his page in our top friends list...he does great things...

so...this saturday is our show with Slowrunner at Cumberlands. This will be our first show ever with Slowrunner...this will also be the last time Slowrunner and ADA will ever play at Cumberlands ever. "Why?" you ask...simple: Cumberlands is closing its doors FOREVER after NYE. As of 2008 this institution will be no more. sad aint it? Well, to commemorate such an event we are doing a limited edition run of t-shirts that we will sell that night. its a new design by Jason Groce and we are only going to run 60 of them. once they are gone thats it...forever...just like cumberlands. you can see what they will look like (imagine that Henry drew the actual t-shirt and it looks ok right?) here. We will have 2 colors-coral (featured below) for the ladies and brown for the lads.
not only will this be an amazing show (vinyl are my pants also on the bill) but you can get a one of a kind t shirt and pay your respects to the music venue that has shaped the scene in charleston for lo these many years.
show starts at 9:30 (vinyl) then ADA at 11 and Slowrunner at 12.
and we have a few new songs for you to try out too...

we love you all.
