WOW, what a turnout. Gladhander had a great time at the Black Forest on the 18th.We wanted to thank all the people who came out, Isaac Hall for doing a great job, The Black Forest, The New Up and Sixlifter7. All you made this show what it was.

We came in set up merch and were able to enjoy a great set from The New Up. If you haven't checked them out you should. They're on our top friends so its easy. They are a female fronted band from San Francisco and know how to have a good time and deliver the goods.

Sixlifter7 jumped on stage and threw down like usual. If you haven't seen them get off your ass and check em out. They are one of Eugenes greatest acts.

We hit the stage, rocked as hard as we could and Mitch smashed a guitar yet again. we had a few people not to happy about guitar smashing. Mitch says go get your own if you don't like it and added that on occasion we give em out. So come on out to the next one cause it's the video release and there will be giveaways and a viewing of the Tooly video on a projection screen at halftime:)

Last Saturday the 22nd we played the Black Forest and it was a wicked turnout. I arrived about 8:30 PM to load in and people were already there waiting for a taste of Gladhander, Sixlifter7 and Made Of Skin.. I loaded in and observed.

I noticed groups of people constantly trickling in, the fans were obviously there to have a good time and that's what they got. Made of Skin took the stage first, they played a solid set with with a unique sound with many dynamics that were pleasing to my ears.

Gladhander set up... Right before takeoff My Mesa~Boogie took a hit from a trumpet case rendering it's footswitch useless.( four channels is the norm, with a solo boost) So with one guitar channel set to overdrive Gladhander played a chunky more heavy set than the norm. Kasey was Beating his drums like they owed him money and Rick was adding the solid foundation that is needed for any tight set. Some dynamics were lost but it was an in your face punchy set none the less. We gotta roll with what we've got. The audience gladly ate a healthy portion and were thankful to have a second helping.

Sixlifter7 Then took the crowd for another ride. Seven men; three guitars, a drummer, a bassist and a trumpet player all backing up their talented singer, D.C.. They played an amazing set and kept the crowd pleased for the rest of the evening. They are very catchy With a rock/punk sound with a Violent Femms/ Oingo-Boingo thing going on.

To wrap it up, It was a great time, a great turnout with a positive vibe. We would like to thank everyone who came out to support, It was you that made this show so great and fun for us. Congrats to JJ for winning the custom guitar airbrushed by Ken Mann. We will do that again.

Hello friends, family, and fans,

We have much to fill you in on.

Gladhander returned home a little tired after a weeks of living it up down in North Hollywood. It was for our video for the song Tooly. It is one our latest we recorded with Billy Barnett. It was amazing to walk into the green stage studio, It was then I realized how huge this production really was.

When we arrived at Big Vision Studios we were taken upstairs to the "Hendrix Room", not that he had ever been there. It was purple and had a painting of him on the wall. It was a big room with a private bathroom the size of my kitchen. We were treated exceptionally well, there was great food and beverage at our disposal. Yummy :) A dinner was catered in that was also BOMB.

So we hit make up and wardrobe up and took care of that with a quickness, The people hired were very professional and good at their jobs. I could tell this was a well lubricated wheel and that the people knew what was going on ( I didn't )

The green screen was huge and we played Tooly a hundred times and took some amazing shots. They were planned out on storyboards. Amazing. We played, we ate , we laughed and then they called it a wrap.

Day two was impressive as well. We had three female actresses on the machine shop set. The make up was amazing and from the footage I saw This video is going to be something else.

Hell, we even played our first show in LA at the Silver Factory Studios, It was a underground club. It seemed there were a bunch of industry types there. It was a great time and we can't wait until the next one.

We wanted to thank the people involved in this last "trip" Mike and Jerry DeMille, Andie Bacon, Mike H, Jaime, Wil Driscoll and Meagan Walsh, Thomas Morris, Nicholas Lam, Kris, Nicolas Martin, Bodie Omann, Nathan Pena, Frank Rice, Charlie Ehrlinger, Joe Guzzman, Jeremy Grant, Malachi Simonyan, Christina Chilcote, Racquel Honore, Janice Fernandez, Spencer King, Lee Debreaux, Nick Gebo, Leonard Chapman, Hollywood Rentals, Taylor and Taylor, Indy Kitchen Fiesta, Fed Ex, Enterprise Truck Rental and SMS Incorporated. Thank you all very much you made this happen.

Hello everyone, just wanted to blog today. We haven't since we created this site so I think now is a good time

We had our CD release party at the Black Forest and it was a great time. The turnout was great, thanks to everyone for coming out, it was a packed house. It was wall to wall from the front to the back. There were drinkers, thinkers, dancers and screamers. It was great. We shot two angles of video that will be up online soon. The Bands were fantastic.

Like Breathing had a very original sound, pretty mellow really. Imagine this , a Mad Season kind of mellowness with all members singing. They're a talented crew of guys that play some great unconventional rock and don't take me wrong when I say mellow cause they ROCKED the house. Isaac played and managed the stage as well as rocked the fuck out. Thanks

First Sleep also rocked harder than sour cream and butter on a fucking baked potato. These boys mesh so nice. Two guitarists rocking and swirling with heavy bass and a drummer that doesn't quit. They are a heavy band with melodic vocals that compliment the arrangements perfecty. If you haven't seen First Sleep you should. Thanks guys it was fun and I can't wait for the next one.

All the fans were great, One was nodding off but still bobbing his head to the beats. There was a male version of two Seinfeld episodes. Elaine dancing and the "close talker" I hope he found his way.

Thanks everybody for making this a great show.

Thanks DeMille crew for everything. You guys have made this all possible. See you all real soon.

Mitchell
