The Wonderland Online Team (http://wl.igg.com/main.php) knows that the time for summer fun will be coming to an end very soon, so they’re pulling out all the stops to make this August the best ever! Let’s see what they’ve got in store…

Weekly Events:

1.      Five In A Row: August 2^nd and last until August 7^th

Rewards: All GM's Gold obtained from the game will be given to one Lucky Dog.

Event Rules:

All players can go to the GM's tent and play this game when it begins. Click the Wire Game Machine to start playing. Players can also play with the GM.

2.      Guess the Lucky Number : August 9^th to August 14^th

Rewards: 50 Credits per round

Event Rules:

l  Before each round, the GM will tell players in the Local Channel to choose a number. You should type in your number in the Local Channel after the GM tells you to begin guessing.

l  Once this has happened, the GM will attack the guardian in ....Welling.. ..Village..... The lucky number will be the last 2 digits of the GM's damage value. If the GM misses the first round of combat, the number will be chosen from the second combat round and so on.

l  Each player can give their 2-number guess only once per round. Any more than one guess will not be valid.

3.      Deadliest Quest: August 16^th—August 21^st

Rewards: 50 Credits

Event Rules:

l  After the game begins, go visit GM-Justice to get the item—Paper, he will also record your name and whisper to you the location of the target.

l  When you find the target, give the Paper to the target and then PK with them. If you win, you’ll get rewards. The fight is for you and the target only.

l  Each player can accept this quest only once.

l  The rewards will be given out within 24 hours of the end of the event.

4.      King of the Guild Ⅱ: August 23^rd—August 28^th

Rewards:

Winning Guild: All participating guild members will get 100 Credits each.

Other Guilds: All participating guild members will get 50 Credits each.

Event Rules:

l  At the beginning of the event, Guild members must go to ....Welling.. ..Village.....

l  To register, players need to use the local channel and type their Guild name.

l  Once there are 8 Guilds registered, the GM will create a PK schedule for those 8 Guild teams.

l  A ‘one and done’ knockout system will be used in this event. The last remaining guild will be the winner and be eligible to join in the final fight next week.

l  All team members must be from the same Guild.

Special Events:

1.      Cool Down in the Summertime: August 15^th around 2:00am and lasts all the way through to August 28^th at 2:00am

Rewards: The Crystal Ice Cube and Unclear Ice Cube! Click the ice cube to get a random item

Event Rules:

Players that kill monsters of level 10 or higher have a chance at getting one of two different ice cubes.

Love can be an eternal connection between two people, a bond that even death cannot break, and the love story of pirate Elmer and his fiancée Sonia is a tragic tale of love and untimely death...

Elmer was a famous pirate captain who had braved the seven seas without fear for his entire life. However, when his ship became wrecked on a reef far out at sea, he lost his life, and widowed his beloved fiancée.

When venturing into the depths of the sea, you will see a sunken ship with a golden box full of treasure lying on the deck. What luck! Who could have left something so valuable just lying around? Try to open it, and a strong pirate (Level 50 - 25300 HP) will appear! He’ll announce that he’s the famous captain, Elmer - once he’s been defeated. After he lost his life he knew Sonia would be grief stricken, waiting for him on land. He will then ask you to relay a message to her saying that he knows she is a good girl and she should let him go and find love again.

Sonia is now in ....Athens...., where she has been waiting for Elmer since he left. However, she’s now an old lady with grey hair on her head. She knows Elmer must be gone, but she refuses to accept it and continues to wait. When you give her the message, she understands, but will continue to stay in ....Athens...., awaiting the time when she will join him in heaven...

The quest is Strong Man’s Tender Feelings. The reward for it is a bottle of 2.5X Holy EXP Potion.

The controlling spell is a MATK that can restrain a target’s action in a range or make the target do whatever the controller wants them do.

In Wonderland Online (http://wl.igg.com/main.php), different elements have different control spells, which can be extremely effective when used appropriately.

Water-Sleep

Destroys the target’s mantle and then make then fall asleep. This skill can make 4 targets fall into asleep in 2 rounds. In PK, almost all Water element players will use the Sleep spell so as to make the 4 targets loss the attack ability. It’s quite significant in the combat.

Fire—Mess Spell

This spell reduces the targets mind to a mess of gray jelly. The resulting crazy movements and misdirected attacks can be very frustrating as players on the same team may watch their teammate attack them! There is a 50% possibility the target will attack a team member.

Wind--Cord and Coma Spell

The Cord spell traps targets with magic beams, while the Coma spell causes them to lose their desire to fight. The Cord spell can be cast on 2 targets at the same time, while the Coma spell can only be used on one target. However, the Coma spell will last longer.

One of the advantages of the Wind element is the high SPD, so if the Wind players are good at casting these 2 spells, they will have a huge advantage in PK.

Earth—Tree Bind and Terrification

Tree Bind causes vines and tree roots to wrap around a target, reducing movement for 3 rounds. Terrification attacks the target with a bloody curse and turns the target to stone.

Earth is the best DEF element for blocking an enemies’ attack. After a defensive target’s attack, Earth element players can use Tree Bind and Terrification to defeat their enemies quickly.

WLO is a 2D and turn-based MMORPG which draws influence from various ancient cultures for its background and inspiration.

The new WLO 4.0 Version—The Cursed Palace will be released in May. Sneak previews have included the new maps, new items and even new characters. What’s more, the Instance function and the Cursed Palace quests will be released in the new version as well.

New Maps

Players can now visit the plains of Africa, play with animals and maybe even go on safari while they’re there. There will even be new quests for players to enjoy there, such as fighting lions with other warriors or helping an old man to find his lost son and so on.

Additionally, a new area will be released too—the mysterious Mediterranean. Starting from the top right corner of Cairo, go though the plains, and players will reach the Mediterranean! In this new area, there are many fun maps to explore, such as the Deep Jungle, Turtle Isle, Relic Island and the most important map in the new version—Athens.

Instance System

Players have been anticipating WLO instances for a long time, and it will be this new version that this system is ultimately released. 15 instances, including Sea Animals, Mali’s Attack, Emperor Alexander and more are being added into the 4.0 version. Don’t think these new instances will be a pushover either. Generally speaking, the monsters in the instances feature stronger powers, and the limits on levels, time and players will make it even more difficult to finish. However, this is the great chance for players to demonstrate their abilities and skills! Also, the rewards for the instances are quite good, including Holy EXP Potions, Strange Peaches and EXP Capsules.

Training Island

Players who want to train on Training Island need a Training Voucher which can be used for 6 hours. Training on this island is the best choice for quick leveling because the monsters here are suitable for almost any level. Players can win lots of EXP, with the system helping out by restoring 100 HP and 50 SP automatically each round.

Brilliant New Equipment

In the new version, there are many new pieces of top equipment that not only cut deep, but look good doing it. One of the best equipment sets is the special elemental suit. The set is level 25, cannot be traded, and will be destroyed directly if it’s discarded.

However, players who wear the whole set (all 5 pieces of equipment, plus staff/sword) may get a bonus effect:
1) 50% chance to increase ATK by 50% when fighting a target whose attribute is restricted by the player.
2) Players may also reduce target's attack by 50% if the target's attribute restricts them.

Check out some of the other new equipment: Crescent Wand (MATK+64), Tough Sword (MATk+40,SPD+32), Cursed Shoes(DED+30, SPD+15).

Powerful Class Skill

 To learn the powerful class skills, players must transfer their class in advance. Then they need to finish the quest in Chinshi Huang’s Tomb. Players must also prepare 5 stars for this.

Useful New Items

In the new version, there are more useful new items. Take the GPS for example, it’s used for teleporting. Double click the GPS, and then choose the Position button to record the place where you’re presently located as a spawn point. After you leave, you can go back to the recorded location by double clicking on the GPS and using the Teleport button. The Weapon Model in the new version is an item that helps players to make better and stronger equipment.

The Cursed Palace Quest

The most important quest in the new version is the quest in the Cursed Palace. This quest is hard and unique. The Cursed Palace was inspired by the 12 constellations and they are represented by the many powerful palace guardians hiding in every corner of the palace, just waiting for a brave player to try to beat them. However, the task will be much easier if players can find the weaknesses of each guardian. They can form different teams to defeat each of the different guardians based on these weaknesses. It’s said that only the real brave ones can pass Athena’s trial, are you ready?

1.      Go to Mayan and enter the house (X: 2176, Y: 2134). After that, click the people in the house to activate the quest. Poor Shasha was elected to be the offering! When you leave the house, you will see Shasha pushed into a big hole. To rescue her, you must jump in the hole after her. Once you’ve done that, go to the right, and you will see a gate. There you will find Shasha, who is lying on the ground before you. It is then that the Blue ET will appear. Shasha will join your team if you defeat the Blue ET. You should go to Shasha’s house with her.....

2.      Go find the stone gate (X: 3682, Y: 3175) in the Mayan forest. Shasha knows the words carved on the gate. Enter the cave after opening the door. Go through it and up to the 2^nd floor. The key for the door is on the top left corner of the map. After that, you can go to the top floor. Go to the end of the top floor, and you will meet the 3 ETs where you can get a broken UFO Design. When you want to leave there, you will discover that the door has closed. Go back to see the statue and look on the left bottom corner. There are words there that Shasha can read. After this, Shasha will die because she wants to help her owner escape. She is finally the Aries. You can get 3 stars.....

3.      Go back to Mayan and enter the house (X:2375, Y: 1589). There will be a little boy lying on the floor. Go ask the boy’s mother about the reason, and you can decide whether or not to wake up the little boy. There will be 3 options. If you choose ET option you have to fight with ETs. In the 1^st round there are blue, red and green ETs, and if you defeat them all, the yellow ET will come out to help them. You can get the UFO Design if you defeat all three ETs.....

It's the Goddess Venus who inspires people to love one another and to celebrate the rite of marriage.

Spy Ninja
She always pretends to be a maid and to get closer to the target. She is a very good spy who can provide useful and critical messages. She is also good at assassinations.

Demon Warrior:
There are so many Japanese warriors who lost their lives in the ancient war, and after that their souls were left to wander the world. They still have the strong power of a warrior. They are a really strong enemy for challengers to defeat.

Victoria
Victoria: an honest woman who fights with 2 swords.  Rumor has it that she is so strong that even a man cannot defeat her.

                                
Sharpshooter
Sharpshooter is very charming, especially when he wears his brilliant cowboy suit and his cute gun. He not only has a killer appearance but also a killer perfect shot.

Besides the human NPCs, there are also some new animal NPCs in the new Version 4.0. What's more, some of them are so strong that players may face some hard challenges.

Nine-tail Fox:
300 years ago, there were so many Nine- tail Foxes in Japan they were the cause of so much evil there. But finally a great Japanese magician sealed them up using the Soul Jade. 
Now many people in Japan want to find out what the close relationship between jade and a fox is really about? Players can research this conundrum in the new version.

Unicorn
The Unicorn lives in India. It is very similar to a horse; its body is covered with snow white hair and has a single sharp horn on its forehead. Its dark blue eyes make it gracious over all. Its horn has magical powers and so many people want to have one for themselves. But in doing so many Unicorns were badly injured or worse... Finally, they disappeared from the world...

 
Orachi:
It's said that the Orachi had 8 heads and 8 tails. Its body was so big it could even cover a mountain. It was a demon that liked eating children. But finally, it was defeated by a great warrior, who found a sharp sword hidden inside when he cut the snake in half.

 
Cerberus:
Cerberus is the name given to the entity which, in Greek and Roman mythology, is a triple-headed dog that guards the gates of Hades, to prevent those who have crossed the river Styx from ever escaping.
