Cleveland, Ohio now has its very own reality Television show, Got City Game is set to air November 11^th. There will be a total of 5 webisodes. Performing in one of the episodes will be THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN! at Ante Up Audio’s recording studio. The show is based on the “amazing race” format plus the Got City Game is giving away scholarships, concert tickets, movie passes, and 1 year of free rent. THIS IS A SHAKEDOWN! has a couple of really cool shows coming up! This Saturday is the Dewey Beach Music Conference in Delaware. If you are in the area stop by! This is a Shakedown! music video at Ante Up Audio....

This past Wednesday, August 26 marked the night of a music video filming for the up and coming band This is a Shakedown!

The band's lead singer Brandon Zano made an announcement that anyone at the Rock Hall Sessions show the previous Wednesday could come and be part of the shooting. The other half being that there would be free beer and food for those who came to be in it. Either way, the marketing worked for these guys as scores of people showed up to participate in the video shoot.

Rock City Sounds was personally in attendance (in the music video, nonetheless). The shoot turned out very well as by the time everyone showed up at the studio and had time to get prepared, the crew were finished making preparations to camera equipment and stage effects.

The band then proceeded to play 3 sets of 5 of their songs, including Radio, Circles and The Beat. Most of everyone in attendance was quite enthusiastic to be part of a music video and also receive free food and beer, so in turn responded by dancing wildly to all of the songs played. The finished video is one to watch.

This is a Shakedown! recently finished a somewhat revolutionary music video for their song 'Circles'. It was the first music video officially filmed with the Apple Mac Book's Photo Booth. It utilized 21 borrowed Mac Book and their internal cameras and filmed using a very interesting circular motion technique, keeping the song true to its name. After the video shoot, Rock City Sounds had an opportunity to meet with studio owner Michael Seifert and meet the members of This is a Shakedown! Brandon Zano is lead vocals and joined with keyboardist/programmer Justin Nyilas who adds an electronic vibe with some Mac software such as Garage Band. This adds to the bass guitar played by Daniel Lee and drums of Stephen Nicholson to round out a fully punk and rock but electronic enlaced sound.

"We wanted to create an experience of what it is like to [play] live", Zano said about the shooting of a second video. The first video intended to push boundaries and mold their unique image of the band, and the newest will introduce others to the experience of being at a concert in person, Zano remarked, "where you don't really know what's coming next." The good thing is that we probably never will.
